Morning all – no I wasn’t lurking, I was watching ‘Appropriate Adult’ as I missed it the first time round.

That A of Maz certainly needs a kick up the b-u-m. It doesn’t take much time to shove a load of laundry in the washer, even if you wait until later in the day, or the next to hang it up. Although he has his good points, he does seem to need to take more of a responsibility! See what happens if you follow LG’s advice.

Thanks for the colour advice YG – I’ll print it off. We went back to J Lewis and collected more carpet samples (including a green) Although they can supply loads, we are price limited which does restrict the choice. PC won’t offer any opinions “too difficult”.

If LG is going to carry the Flag tomorrow, hunt out the thermals!!!

morning all
he just buys new clothes until he gets it washed the sad bit is that i dont make enough to do a load of mine and i have far less stuff than him lol he says he is going to do some today while i am out as GF is coming over for tea

YG

YG Report 10 Nov 2012 11:35

A must have more money than sense then, Maz!! Perhaps he is going to do some today to impress his GF so that she doesn't guess his naughty habits!!

Good luck with the carpet samples, DET. I don't blame PC for staying quiet about the colour scheme. She may get the blame further down the line!! :-D

I was asleep LG. Tucked up nice and warm snuggled under the duvet.

It is a beautiful day here today. I am having a 'sedate' sort of weekend, catching up on ironing and cleaning out the kitchen cupboards. I wanted to get all the door frames sanded in the hall, but cannot risk getting any dust in my eye until next week, so I will be good. The oven needs a clean too , so that will be another job out of the way :-( :-(

LaGooner Report 10 Nov 2012 21:53

Evening all, resting up ready for the Remembrance Parade tomorrow. Yes I will be carrying the Union Flag as usual and thermals will definately be the order of the day.

Typical Maz, only time they make the effort is to show off to partners.

Cooker cleaning along with Ironing are my most hated chores :-(

YG

YG Report 10 Nov 2012 22:31

Evening LG.

Watching the Service of Remembrance.

You aright about the chores!! I hate doing them too!! Didn't get on as well as I expected today. I spent too long mooching around in the supermarket and actually did some of the unmentionable shopping

I still have to clean the oven tomorrow >>>>> yuk!!

Morning LG

It is a lovely bright sunny day here. Just off to hang some washing out.

My microwave seems to have given up the ghost this morning, along with the heater in the tumble dryer, so I wonder what the third thing will be!! Oh joy!!

Enjoy the parade and I hope you won't be too cold :-) :-)

LaGooner Report 11 Nov 2012 08:59

Morning YG. I am just sitting here having a bite of brekkie before jumping in the shower and getting dressed. I am just wondering which uniform top to wear to keep warm. I hope you don't have a third appliance break down :-(.

YG Report 11 Nov 2012 11:10

Morning Maz.

Pleased he eventually did it, even if he just 'dumped' it all!! That is the next lesson for him!! :-D :-D

I am having a break to watch the Remembrance Service bu am busy cleaning out the kitchen cupboards. It's the last job in the kitchen, then it is all sorted apart from the door frame and door being done. A joiner is coming at the end of the month to fit new glass in the door and panel. He will also sand the door down outside and paint it for me. One room will be done for the time being, at least!!) :-D

+++DetEcTive+++

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 11 Nov 2012 11:18

A late start today, tut tut for us :-0

After the excitement of the theatre last night, you probably deserve an afternoon snooze Maz!
We have started our unmentionable shopping. The in laws always want a diary each, so we used up my book vouchers before they expired, and club points at a hight street bookshop. 2 quality diaries for £1.89
Since the Costa coffee points covered the price of 2 drinks, it was a cheap trip out. :-D

No one has come up with suggestions for what they'd like. Unless they get a move on, they'll all end up with vouchers.

Hope you chose the warmest top LG, and have something ready to snack on.

YG - Although you don't need the expense, a microwave isn't too expensive to replace. Did it work after your power problems? Is the fuse OK?

YG

YG Report 11 Nov 2012 11:49

Morning DET.

I have the same problem with wish lists!! Always last minute, so I will be making up my own mind this year, as I am fed up of buying clothes for the little one.

Yes, the microwave was working last night, but I put some porridge in this morning and it was only just tepid. I don't have an all singing, dancing microwave. It is digital with some pre-set options, but I only use it really for baked potatoes, beans, veg and warming up drinks, so I don't need to spend a fortune. I have a feeling that it will be cheaper to replace than repair. I don't know much about what can go wrong with them, to be honest. :-( :-(

+++DetEcTive+++

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 11 Nov 2012 11:57

When we last had to replace one, I took the largest bowl I use to make sure it fitted :-D

The cheapest we've seen in Sainsbury's was about £32. Even though ours is an all dancing, all singing version bought when the oven grill didn't work, we now only tend to use the full power, and occassionally defrost if someone forgot to take the bread out of the freezer when they'd used the last bit. :-|

Try Comet - they were advertising an on-line fire sale the other day

YG

YG Report 11 Nov 2012 12:15

Thanks, I will. They are closing down, so may have some good bargains.

This one has served me for almost four years and I think most electrical items have death chips in them nowadays. They just don't choose an opportune moment to die! :-D :-D

Must away to finish cleaning the cupboard.

I'll be back later!! :-D :-D

YG

YG Report 11 Nov 2012 16:26

Well it's late afternoon, but it feels like the evening as it is already getting dark. I must hibernate for the next three months. I hate dark nights and mornings!! :-P :-P

I have done all the cupboards and cleaned the cooker. I am going to eat cold meals from now on so that I don't mess it up again!! :-D :-D

Me thinks I need a bath and get something ironed ready for work tomorrow. Then I might just consider eating!! :-D :-D

Evening one and all. Just got back from a shopping trip ,bloomin cold out there now but at least it is dry. Parade went really well I am so proud of the girls and we had a lot of good comments about them from some of the people in the village.
