The grind, it certainly was today!! And I don't see it getting any better for some time. Never mind, 8 days to work then I am off. Yippee!!!!!!

Been busy since getting home taking the slats of the vertical blinds to wash them (suggested by a colleague, whom I might line up against the wall and shoot tomorrow!!) :-D :-D :-D :-D Some of the clips on the chain snapped so I now have to order new chain. I will leave the slats soaking overnight and see what they are like in the morning. I may decide to order new slats as well.

Settling in for an easy evening. I think I overdid it again yesterday :-( :-(

Oh dear, just chill when you can then :-D. I am trying to chill a bit this week ready for the busy few weeks up to the dreded C word

I can't even think about it, LG!! Everything in the bungalow is packed away. I have just the suite, tv and coffee table left in the lounge :-D :-D

The work and decorating won't be completed until 10th December and then I have to straighten round and unpack :-D :-D I can't get out the week of my holiday as I am tied to the place with tradesmen :-D :-D :-D

I think everyone will be getting cash this year :-D :-D

I have bought small token gifts and vouchers to go with them. Much easier than trying to work out what the heck to buy and then it is wrong.

Good idea about the gift vouchers, LG. That's what I will be doing for son and dil. Eldest gd will probably want money, so it's only the youngest and I can't find out what she would like, I might even get my friend a gift voucher.

Babies and littlies I can cope with. Teenagers another story :-P.

Take the time to rest while you can YG. It sounds as if you'll need your energy for after the refit! ;-)

Once they've gained access you could if you wanted to, go out...just don't leave valuables where they can be easily lifted. With jobs so scarce, the workmen aren't going to risk losing their job for the sake of an extra few quid.

Slightly further on with Lists, thank goodness. OH went window shopping all by himself and has singled out a few items.

At my request, he also bought a pair of tights for me. The lady on the till asked him if they were the right size. He's still trying to decide if she had him in the 'dopey husband' catagory, or if she thought he was a secret cross-dresser :-D
