At least you've been productive, which can't be said about us.

OH is feeling better, but won't phone the dentist, and I didn't want to push him in to going out if he was just being 'brave'. Men!

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 26 Nov 2012 17:33

Hmmm brave or not it is not wise to ignore it, silly boy.

Try telling him, he might take more noitce of you. :-0

Don't mind me - just feeling a bit down in the dumps. Its probably the early nights at this time of year.

LaGooner Report 26 Nov 2012 17:44

This weather is enough to make anyone fed up, let alone the time of year.

Too right! At least it's supposed to be dry in our neck of the woods in a day or so.

Since the sun (ha!) has been over the yard arm for over an hour, off to find a G&T. Well, put the kettle on for a cup of coffee :-D

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 26 Nov 2012 17:58

That sounds a good idea but mine will have to wait a while while I check the accounts for Brownies. Want to see how much we can spend out for Xmas party next week :-D

YG Report 26 Nov 2012 18:37

Cor, you lot have been busy knocking up the thread count!! :-D :-D

Naughty boy, DET!! He needs to get that swelling sorted :-( :-(

Sorry to hear you are feeling down. I hate the weather and the dark mornings and nights too. Perhaps we are all sufferers of SADS.

I am totally relaxing tonight, apart from doing a bit of online ordering. Feet up and chill to get over the weekend. I have been a real grump at work, but am ok now :-D :-D

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 26 Nov 2012 18:38

I have been ok today not a grump for a change. ;-). That will all end tomorrow when I go to Rainbows,I just have this feeling :-(

YG

YG Report 26 Nov 2012 19:03

Oh dear, LG, expecting problems at Rainbows! :-( :-(

It is wet, wet, wet up here and my border flooded yesterday. I can't see it in the dark tonight, so don't know what state it's in!!

I have posted the magazines to you today, so you should receive them tomorrow hopefully. I haven't found the cds yet, but they will turn up when I unpack everything :-D :-D

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 26 Nov 2012 19:07

Yes I am they are all hyped up about Christmas as this is our last proper meeting before the end of term party. Little darlinks :-|.

We have not had much flooding here thank goodness but my poor friend in Devon is a bit awash.

I'll look forward to the mags that should keep me out of mischief for a while NOT!!! :-D :-D :-D

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 26 Nov 2012 20:25

Mine was too :-D

YG

YG Report 26 Nov 2012 20:57

I have been browsing wallpaper and am absolutely no nearer knowing what I want :-D :-D

I'm afraid of making a huge mistake :-( :-(

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 26 Nov 2012 21:08

It is a problem isn't it. I liked my lounge one until I had it on the wall for a few weeks then decided it was Yuk. It was quite expensive so I have had to put up with it.

YG

YG Report 26 Nov 2012 21:18

I'm not very good at interior design! I'm not bad with colours but I never what sort of pattern to use with wallpaper. I guess that if it's a small room you avoid large, bold patterns. Then I have read that you shouldn't use stripes if the walls are not good as it can throw the stripe out :-D :-D

I shall still be sitting here next year trying to decide at this rate :-D :-D

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 26 Nov 2012 21:23

:-D :-D.Just paint the walls ;-)

YG

YG Report 26 Nov 2012 21:32

I can't LG. The bungalow is over 50 years old and the walls are not smooth. To paint them I would have to have them all skimmed with plaster. :-(

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 26 Nov 2012 21:44

Hmmm . ours are rough too but I have used Anaglypta paper on the really rough ones and then painted it.

YG

YG Report 26 Nov 2012 21:49

That's what's in the lounge at the moment, although one wall will have to be stripped when they have pulled out the fireplace. I am going to use a heavy grade lining paper and emulsion over it for the time being, as the walls will be chiselled out for the wiring in 2014.

I think I have just found a paper that I like for the small front hall. It is expensive but thought I might only need one roll, but I think it will run to two, in which case I need something a bit cheaper :-D :-D
