Decisions,decisions :-S. I need to re do some of my rooms but not got the inclination at the moment with everything that is going on

I began to feel last night that I regretted having started. I was so tired this morning! :-D :-D The problem is that the mind is very willing, but the body can't keep up :-D :-D

At least now I only have some sanding left to do and the decorator will do the lounge and hall. I am hoping to get some rest in next week when I am off work, as well as clearing up after the workmen :-D :-D

I wouldn't have started it all now if they hadn't been coming in to do this work.

Leave it until things have settled down and you have got through Christmas. The start of spring might inspire you :-) :-)

I think I will do just that. I will probably plan out what colours etc then set about it in the New Year.

Good morning from a still soggy SE.

Hope your border plants recover from their drenching YG. As long as it's not next to a house wall, you'll be alright. Decorating always seems to take longer than you tink, doesn't it?
None of our walls have patterned paper, although some have lining paper to cover the hairline cracks. How ever much we fill them, they still open up again. Once we get going, its quicker to paint over the existing colour, or even wash/refreshen it.

OH has suggested that we go to the cinema today, possibly to see the James Bond film. If we go in the afternoon, it won't be so crowded. He'll also get marched into the shop to order the carpet, to be delivered in January. With a deadline, there is more a chance that the painting will get done!

One problem when OH works, is that he wears a good shirt everyday...which needs to i'd properly. Knocking-around-in shirts get shown the iron from a distance :-(

Most of these are work shirts so I just show them the iron quick :-D

Evening all

The weather has been somewhat better today, although it was raining again when driving home from work.

The flooded border doesn't have any plants in as the privet hedge runs the full length, so it will at least have washed the roots of that plenty!! :-D :-D I think it has all drained away now, next door hopefully :-D :-D :-D

That really wasn't kind of me, but they drive me nuts with their cars. It has been better for a long time, but there is one at the moment that they keep parking on the grass verge and driving it right along to the corner of the road to where the dropped kerb for invalids is situated. It is churning up all the grass and making a mud track and I have to walk through it over the paving slabs to get to the car. :-P :-P :-P
