YG Report 30 Nov 2012 08:32

Don't think you are claiming the title again, LG!! Cos you're not!!!! :-D :-D :-D :-D

I can lurk in corners all week now and catch you at the most unexpected moments. I'm keeping my beady eye on you all ;-) ;-) ;-)

Enjoy your day YG - it may be cold, but at least the sky is blue, and the sun shining (pity it shows up the dust layer LOL)

YG

YG Report 30 Nov 2012 15:08

There is plenty of dust here, DET and more to come!!

I have done the ironing, swept up and vacuumed after the joiner left, been busy keeping the plasterer fed and watered and now just having five minutes whilst I wait for the engineer to come and fix the heater on the washer/dryer.

I now have a well aired kitchen and hall as the glass has been removed from the internal kitchen door and side panel!! The joiner was going to glaze today, but as I need to sand the door frames down this weekend, he is now going to do it on Tuesday to make it easier for me. :-D :-D

My goodness! It's not surprising you needed a break. I've

Emptied the dish washer before it even got to noon
Striped the bed and washed the linen
Done a pile of ironing - his 'business' shirts
Checked receipts off the credit card bill
Moved the step ladder to somewhere other than the stairs
Been up in the loft to put away 2 plastic storage boxes & found the wrapping paper.
Moaned at OH until he came to help me clear the back garden leaves
Scrapped the remains of the roast lamb off the joint bones
Boiled up said bones to see it they will produce a stock (experiment)

Still need to remake the bed.

That for me is a very busy day :-D

Everyone had a lazy day then ;-) ;-) :-D. I have had smallest Gooner for most of the day today as Mummy took on a couple of extra hours work. Still trying to get glitter out of the edges of the Laminate flooring, stickers off the table and glue and paint everywhere else :-D :-D :-D :-D.

YG Report 30 Nov 2012 18:33

Well you have been busy, DET!! I'm am gobsmacked!! :-D :-D :-D

And I know it will have been hard work for you too, LG!! Littlies are a pleasure, but cause lots of mess :-D :-D

Well the dryer was going to cost £150 to repair, so I am not having it done :-( :-( The washer still works well, so I either manage without the drying bit or I buy a separate condenser dryer. So I think until they refurb the kitchen in 2014 I will manage with the radiators and a clothes airer as I don't know how much space I will have spare. I am already one item over because of the dishwasher and they normally only allow for a fridge/freezer and washer. :-( :-(

My door handles were delivered to work, instead of my home address so I had to go down and collect them, but timed it so that I could meet a colleague outside. Sensible or what!! :-D :-D

I'm living like a hobo with boxes all round me but am totally relaxed tonight :-D :-D

It's been great YG. I was covered in it too. She is very good at helping clear up as she has to do it for Mummy and also has to do it at Nursery. Actually I probably made more mess than her :-D :-D.

I have a condenser drier that lives in the shed as there is no space in the kitchen

+++DetEcTive+++

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 30 Nov 2012 19:16

So who enjoyed themselves most LG? :-D

YG - Bad luck about the drier element of your machine. Although ours has one, it is rarely used. Luckily we have space to put up an airer. Mother-in-law puts her airer in the bath, which isn't much help if you have a shower!

YG

YG Report 30 Nov 2012 19:18

I can't put a dryer in the shed as there isn't any power in there. I'm still tempted to have this one repaired, but it is a lot of money on top of what I am already spending in the house. The microwave packed in a couple of weeks ago, so that was another expense. What is the third thing going to be :-D :-D

+++DetEcTive+++

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 30 Nov 2012 19:19

Don't tempt fate!!!!!

You can always get it repaired later if you change your mind and have a bit more in the kitty ;-)

LaGooner Report 30 Nov 2012 19:28

I had more fun I think DET :-D :-D.

I am lucky in that my shed is attached to the house so OH laid electric on easily

YG

YG Report 30 Nov 2012 19:55

I think you are right, DET. I will wait until the New Year and see how I go with the laundry without it. The engineer doesn't like washer/dryers as he says they have a small vent which causes problems when towel fluff builds up.

My only problem here is a shortage of cupboards to store things like clothes airers in, but I may have room in the bathroom when they have taken out the water tank.
