morning all well i have to keep up lol with the christmas theme now lol
Hi RMS hope you are ok its white and cold here ,Froggy is going home today at lunch time ,I then will have the chores to do as i am off tomorrow as i did not start my leave until monday morning last week ,I have got quite a lot of clearing to do here
Found all my christmas lists and texting my daughter who moved house yeaterday it seems its a fixer upper and they will be virtually camping but they live in chaos normally so i expect it will be quite homely lol

Morning Maz, don't all the youngsters of today live in chaos ???. :-D. I am just about to finish wrapping gifts for the Brownie party on Wednesday .If I don't do them today I don't see them getting done at all :-|. Off out with OH for a few more bits after that so busy busy busy :-D

Good to see that York is still getting on with life, despite the need for webbed feet! We took the family there many moons ago. Ever since, we say 'we ate an icecream sitting on those submerged seats' :-D

No heating tomorrow, and snow/sleet is forecast. Today the sun is shining and the sky is blue. Typical!! So I might just be off out tomorrow while they do what they have to do. I need to go to the tip, so that is one job that will keep me out for a while. :-P :-P

Off to put some things in the shed out of the way and start sanding. Lovely :-D :-D

Morning all, they are opera singers DET :-D. Not my sort of thing

They are not heavy opera, LG or I wouldn't like them!! A sort of classical pop really and I like them when I am relaxing :-D :-D :-D

I am freezing cold, sat in the corner of the kitchen with fur and a little oil heater trying to keep him warm. He is not a happy cat :-( :-( At least the sun is coming out and I keep nipping to the neighbours to use the loo :-D :-D I have no water all day, so it is good fun.

It looks as though the bathroom is going to have to be decorated as well, but it isn't going to get done now until after Christmas, unless the decorator can fit it in.

Oh joy, what a mess, but it will be worth it in the end, I guess :-D :-D

i am doing odd jobs again ready for work think we have found the boiler leak maybe as there is a large wet stain in the kitchen ceiling that has grown since last night .so just waiting for someone to get back to me as to who or when anyone may do anything hopefully today .

I am in a real mess here, so you can join my club :-D :-D

I can't sit anywhere as the suite and bed are covered with plastic sheeting and stacked with boxes. I have no water, toilet or heating. I am sitting huddled in the corner of the kitchen with fur, sharing a little oil filled radiator and we are playing games on the laptop to keep ourself amused. Every room is a total shambles! The fireplace has ripped out, the hole filled in and the floor cemented. All the carpets are pulled back and I have a bare plaster wall in the bathroom because the new radiator is going in a different place, so that room is going to have to be decorated now as well.

They are coming in to have a look tomorrow the foreman is going to pick my key up later ,I am really hoping that this is the answer to the boiler playing around now so in a way its good news .We have quite a covering of snow here will you have water later on today and heating tonight ?

Yes, the heating will be on tonight, just on a 'on' or 'off'' basis. The electrician is coming tomorrow to finish off the wiring, then the plasterer on Wednesday to plaster where the fireplace was.

I wasn't expecting to have to the bathroom and something is going to have to be done with the wallpaper in the bedroom where the new radiator is, as it is smaller than the old one. It can wait until after Christmas now.

there is always somthing to do ,I take one step forward and three back but if this problem sorts the boiler out it will be a blessing ,
We did quite a lot last week but there is loads to do mainly decorating so will get someone in after christmas ,
so you will warm tonight as its cold here it would be awful with out heating for tonight here

It's cold here too, Maz, although no snow. We have had a couple of sleet showers.

They are just trying to get the boiler in the bathroom cupboard and it's too big, so they are knocking hell out of the door jamb!! I think I will just emigrate and have done with it!! :-D :-D
