well i am just wasting a day here i should have gone out for my meds today but will have to go now on wednesday or after work tomorrow

Maz, I have vacuumed through and washed the halls and bathroom floors, so it looks a lot better tonight. My kitchen carpet tiles looked as though the builders had been in! The carpets were part covered, well still are, ready for the plasterer on Wednesday.

I have just sat down and am waiting for tea to cook, so will be relaxing for the remainder of the evening.

I'm engrossed in the Royal Variety Performance. It's the best one there has been for a long time. Really enjoying it. :-) :-)

Glad you enjoying it. OH is watching something so I am sitting working on a bit of tree. I am shattered as I had to go and get the Mini Gooners from school and Nursery,give them tea and put them to bed. H was called into do a late shift. While I was over there I put her new bed frame together for her so I am now flavour of the day. :-D :-D :-D

It must have been horrible for YG having to stay in a cold house, even with an oil/paraffin heater. You can toast your toes, or toast your back., but never the two at the same time ;-)

Last thing you need Maz is a leaking boiler and associated damage - at least it might have pointed them in the direction of the problem.

Quite a good day yesterday with another portrait photo for M-i-Laws gallery. She's having to find another multi-person frame for all of the grandchildren's graduation photos. 5 grandchildren, but 8 gowned photos - its our lot who are greedy!

Keep putting off my wrapping and writing. Must do it soon as there are some to go in the post. We've already received 2 cards, One from a person we haven't seen for 30 odd years, and another hand delivered from next door.

I have not done any of my own yet except 2 cards for Canada which I had to get posted. Hopefully I will start with my own stuff after the party is out of the way.

It is a beautiful sunny day here today, lovely in the sunshine, but nippy out of the sun. Why couldn't it have been like this yesterday!!

The joiner has been and put the glass in and disappeared for a couple of hours, but will be back later to start sanding. The electricians have just arrived!! Am off out this afternoon to choose carpet for halls, so a bit of respite. :-D :-D

The power is going off, so will be back later! :-D :-D

Good luck with the carpet - hopefully you'll be more decisive than us! At least you 'ought' to be coming back to a warm home....unless the fliping workmen keep leaving the door open :-|

Where has the day disappeared to?? It has gone so fast I must have blinked!!

Electrics all done, but what a mess they made. They didn't cover the carpets where they were working and the plumbers apparently drained the radiators on the front path which has left a black sooty residue that has now trodden in on the uncovered part of the lounge carpet. I have been at screaming pitch today, but calmed down somewhat now!! Maybe because I'm too tired!!

I have put a chicken casserole and rice pudding in the oven to cook, so I am now going to relax. The joiner is still working on the doors, but I have got all the mess cleaned up for today. We will start again tomorrow with the plasterer :-( :-(

Yes, DET, I am going to the hospital tomorrow afternoon at 4pm. Hopefully there will be enough chicken casserole left to pop in the microwave in the evening so I don't have to cook anything. Thank you for your good wishes. :-) :-)

h poor you YG. Still think How nice it will be when it is all done and dusted. Is it your last visit to the hospital tomorrow ? We both wish you well. OH has got to go again next Wednesday early morning. Oh Joy. :-P

i have a few pinholes in my ceiling and my heating is working i have had no contact with builder however they have had the floor boards up in the back room and all the furniture is about the other rooms ,I have also let a 3rd cat out lol I told the builder yesterday to not let our two out so I wonder if they thought he was ours and let him in lol
so the water must have come from pipe work up stairs somewhere and will need to dry out before the repairs can be done lol
