The other place I'd asked was the Carpet shop in the village. They said they would call me when they'd spoken to their fitter - not :-|

If people can't fit a job in or aren't interested, then at least they could phone and let you know. It really annoys me.

Well done the E Europeans finding a niche in the market. Most of the car wash people in the Supermarket carparks aren't British born, and they do work hard. Wonder what would happen if Immigration paid an unannounced visit - lol

YG Report 16 Apr 2012 20:04

That's a long wait, DET. But you are right, people don't seem to want the work nowadays.

Round here there are loads of eastern europeans that have set up car wash operations and they seem to earning a good amount. They are always busy and they work hard, which is something a lot of the UK folk seem to be afraid of nowadays. They want money for nothing.

(waiting for rude reply from LG)

The carpet was lifted and the Sky cable tucked underneath this afternoon - it only took 2 months to arrange someone to actually appear to do it. Don't trades men want the work???

Evening everyone.

Good luck with your search, Maz. I hope you find something suitable. My next venture is to buy a new garden shed. Really interesting, NOT :-But it will be a good excuse to have a clear out when the old one goes as I am hoping to down size a little.

I've had a lazy day today, just venturing out to the garden centre to look for a shrub for my neighbour's birthday.

Off to start dinner. Bye for now!! :-) :-)
