Very sunny here too and warm in the sun, but cool in the shade. The forecast is for heavy rain on Tuesday, which will be very welcome, although I prefer warm rain, not 7degs!!

The patio slabs sound nice DET. I would have liked something similar but have to consider a very inappropriately placed manhole cover!!! So it will be square or rectangular shaped ones for me!!

I have been to the garden centre today to buy a pot and compost for an azalea, so I now have it potted up. The garden centre was really busy.

Got a chicken roasting in the oven if anyone wants to pop over for dinner!!

our fred id be a lot happier eating your sunday dinner, but its nice for me today as daughter coming so we are having her and her boyfriend, i know she is only coming to take our new rescue dog in, they named him jerry which we are keeping, because i bet thats the only good memory he has, he is three and is a blenihem king charles spangle aka spaniel lol.

Yes D E T ,the grandsopn is R A F ,A S W.him ,and his mates were sick to death of Chicken ,the only meat on the menu ,and he like me loves his fish,,the daft skite has already said he is going back before Christmas for another three months ,lol,but ,nco,s in A S W are few and far between at the moment.
I think you will find your decorative garden slabs will be a darned sight more pricey than the pavement slabs i brought ,so i hope you are buying a lot fewer than i had to get.
The worst of it was ,we had a purchase order put on my house two months after i got the work finished ,so it was a waste of time ,lol,i should have waited until i found my new place and saved a load of money.
Just been out back and done a little more work ,and finished off the front patio flower pots with shale to keep the weed seeds from getting down into the compost.Hope everyone is enjoying their Sunday ,Fred

As we looked at them last year, I can't remember the price. The central slab was circular, and the surrounding ones circular with an elipse cut out so they fitted against the central one. The finished effect was similar to a childs drawing of a flower head. OH will probably be dragged out during the week to purchase them. sometimes he needs a push in the right direction.

I hope you can get those paving slabs cheap enough D E T ,i brought my last lot ten years ago ,and they were £1-50 each ,second hand from a builders yard [ouch ] needing 50 it took the wallet a while to recover .
This is the last full day for the grandsons visit and he has asked for fish for dinner ,some of those birds eye fillets with sauce on ,very nice too ,i will enjoy one of those with some new tatties.

Ah, but we have had snow in April! Eldest & co left for their new life in SFO at the beginning of April a few years ago...........the very next day it snowed and we had to go to their empty house to turn the CH on again.

Much cooler today, although there have been patches of blue sky appearing amongst the clouds. Three spots of rain then nothing!! They are saving it for Monday, apparently, when there is also a possibility of snow!!! Who said it was Easter!!

Going to do the grandson a lamb leg roast for dinner ,he is sick of the sight of Chicken,it seems it's the only meat they ever got over there he says most of the lads start spitting feathers after two months ,lol.
