Morning LG - You must look a sight if H thinks you need sorting out! Since you need a new photo for your blue badge card, you could get one done after your hairdo! :-D

Enjoy your day - BM+1 is coming for lunch, but didn't have time to sort out his London Parking permit. Oh well, at least it means he'll have to visit his aging parents again at some point to collect his motorised shopping trolley ;-)

Suemaid, an May Mother's Day will be something to look forward to during the winter

Happy Mothers Day to all Uk'ers. Hello to UK Gents and our overseas friends. We are off down the churchyard soon then dropping in pressie from the littlies to their Mummy as I have had to keep it hidden here until it dried :-D :-D :-D. Then possibly out to lunch with OH. My youngest offspring are trewating me to a Hairdo tomorrow, shan't recognise myself as H has already decided what style I should have :-S :-S :-D :-D :-D

Oh dear Sylvia, you really must bite your tongue very hard. Into the padded cell with you for a spell of thoughtful contemplation!! Melbourne (and all things Victorian) is our arch enemy. We get our mouth washed out with soap and water if we say, Carlton, Collingwood, St Kilda, Essendon, gag, gag, cough, choke, foam, spit.

And yes I barrack for Adelaide (and not that other pretend South Aussie team Port). We played the team from Western Australia in the pre-season final so it was a non-Victorian final.

My team first played in the AFL National competition in 1991. The Australian Football League (AFL) is the highest-level professional competition in the sport of Australian rules football. Originally comprising only teams based in the Australian state of Victoria, the competition's name was changed to the Australian Football League for the 1990 season, after the relocation of the South Melbourne Football Club to New South Wales and the admission of teams from Western Australia (the West Coast Eagles) and Queensland (the Brisbane Bears).
Prior to 1990 non Victorian team had their own leagues so your cousin's son would have played in the SANFL (South Australian National Football League). That league still operates today in South Australian and is often a feeder league for the AFL "local" teams, Adelaide and Port.

The padded cell will be mightily crowded by the time I stuff Puss in there as well. Christmas poems in March!!! Aunty thumbs quickly through Nut Lodge t's and c's. Hmmmm, if "that" season is nigh, it means we have skipped winter in Oz. What an absolutely wonderful idea. I won't even need to put away my summer clothes. Nope can't have that we will need the rain or it will be tie a knot in the garden hose come spring.

Very sad to see the collapse of one of your soccer players during a game. It has been reported here on our news. What a difficult time for his family, friends, and his team mates.

Happy Mothering Sunday to all of you. Enjoy your pampering and privileges.

Happy Mother's Day to everyone. I hope you all have a lovely day.

DET, enjoy your day of pampering whenever you decide to go. I'm sure it will be thoroughly enjoyable.

I'm only a grouch about the unmentionable word:-D :-D

A visit to my mum's grave with some flowers and then h****work and cooking dinner for me. It's been raining overnight, so it looks as though gardening is out the question today!

Chill time tonight with my favourite tv programmes! :-D :-D

Puss, ignore YG - she can be a real grouch. ;-) If you'd been able to include fireman in the poem, it might have been different, but on the other hand, any thing in uniform will do! :-D

Sylvia's weather is all topsy-turvey. I bet your wishing it would settle down properly to 'spring'.

Well done AS's team. Here's hoping it is good news for the coming season. Even if they don't win every match, at least it sounds as if they will give a creditable account of themselves.

Happy Mothering Sunday to UK based contributors! The offspring have clubbed together and purchased a 'pampering day' for me + 1. A lovely thought, although a bunch of flowers would have been fine. :-)

Hi all
xxx

sunny day again today. Had the patio door open most of the afternoon, but had to close it about 4 pm 'cos it started to get a bit nippy round the ankles.

Aunty .... which team is that? One of my cousin's sons played for Adelaide in the late 70s. We, of course, were supporting Melbourne teams :-D

Hello, goodbye DET!!!

Edit:

Missed you there, Puss!! Has no-one told you that any mention of the season to which you refer is banned on here between 27th December and 30th November the following year!!!!! Non compliance results in severe botty smacking :-D :-D

Santa got stuck in our chimney.
I know it sounds weird, but it's true.
His feet made it down, but his belly
was one size too large for the flue.

His reindeer are up on our rooftop.
His sleigh is still loaded with toys.
And Santa, that kindly old fellow,
is making a whole lot of noise.

We called the police and the sheriff.
They showed up with ladders and cranes.
They brought all their winches and pulleys,
plus bungee cords, cables and chains.

is this one ok Det, xx

They're working right now to remove him
by hoisting him slowly back out.
It might take all morning, for Santa
is more than a little bit stout.

If you don't have presents this morning,
we're sorry you're having to wait.
But Santa's still stuck in our chimney.
He may be a day or two late.

Until then, please hide all your cookies.
Though Santa may find this severe,
at least then he'll fit down the chimney
when he comes on Christmas next year.

That's better ,just come back indoors after spending two hours sorting the front patio out ,smashing all the old urns that were cracked with the frost ,and using the shards after i took a mell to the pottery .lol.wow ,i do feel better taking my ire out on something ,lol :-).
The patio is now complete ,the new urns planted ,and i have cleaned up ,result .
Sounds like A Sherlocks team would be well worth a watch ,all our local teams being knocked out of everything that is of interest ,Apart from Darlo' they are all playing like girls blouses ,makes one want to watch Accrington Stanley for a bit of classy playing :-|.
,Time for dinner ,then a good snooze in my armchair ,over done it again and my back is killing me ,but well worth the effort .
Hope all are set to enjoy their weekend ,Take care everyone ,Fred. :-).

Good evening all. Aunty's team has just won the Grand Final of the Pre-Season competition. In the proper football game. Yaaaaaay!!

Now this is not to be construed as evidence that Aunty 's team is going to excel in the main competition which starts next Saturday. The pre-season is a warm up where teams try out new players, and new tactics. The home and away series, which is the real thing, will separate the men from the boys.

At least their new coach has them actually participating in the game instead of holding tea parties with cucumber sandwiches on the sidelines whilst the other team kicked goals!!!!

It's lovely here this morning, although it started to cloud over and rain was threatening but the sun is out again now!

I had a very pleasant evening last night and came home with 30 stunning photos of the girls to put on the computer and photo frame. They had a makeover and photo shoot done in Leeds at the end of last year. Very expensive and well out of my league, but they have a beautiful album and dvd. Pity they didn't buy the copyright for the dvd as I could watch it over and over.

Was up early to go for the nails done and then when I got there realised that my appointment was for Monday lol :-D :-D I am having a reasonably steady day today, a bit of shopping and cleaning and plenty of relaxation. I don't go back to work until 28th, so a nice break.

Enjoy your day everyone. :-) <3

That and the predictable punch ups! ;-) I mainly watch the international games to keep OH company; he watches them so he can chat to BM later! It used to be OK when Bm lived at home, but now OH could end up by himself in the other room.

:-D :-D DET I can bet that's the only reason you watch the rugby ;-). My hunks aren't playing until Weds.Well it is grey miserable and horrible here. Hmm that describes a couple of folk I could think of :-D :-D.

I have my thick jumper on this morning , want to borrow it Fred ?

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 17 Mar 2012 09:14

Morning all -

Fred? Go put on an extra jumper and you ought to be OK :-D

PC doesn't get paid breaks. If she hasn't been able to grab time off the ward, and there are enough staff around at the shift changeover time, she leaves 20 min early. Something you may wish to consider? It is a little concerning to hear you are doing a lot of walking, considering one of the reasons you gave up the other job. Do take care and don't let them abuse your good nature.

Hope you had a good time with your littlies YG, and things will settle down again soon. Enjoy your time off work. How long do you have?

Wall - to - wall rugby matches this afternoon. Yawn. Still, one can only hope that some hunk's clothing will get torn ;-)
