YG, do you really believe that 'fire' was accidental?

They're bound to click on soon and start blacklisting Maz. :-) :-)

LOL at Persie's 'gas leak'.

And DET's dad's 'gas leak'.

A few years ago my mother-in-law was very embarrassed because the young woman next door called the gas board and said she could smell gas coming from my mother-in-law's home. It was the garlic she was cooking!! :-S :-S

When you get the error message again Aunty, just click on the 'refresh' button, instead of going on the back arrow. You should hopefully only get one post appear!! It works for me anyway!! :-D :-D :-D

Maz, you are really not being very fair at all!! Not only do you call them out under false pretences, they live just down the road from where you work!!! Seeing as they sent the big one with the ladders, would they not have reached down here to rescue a lonely lady in distress!! :-D :-D :-D

Hope you managed to get back to sleep Aunty; surely the temperatures have fallen to a more comfortable overnight level? We all try and go out of our way to satisfy YG and Maz' fascination with the male firefighters. My Son in law is convinced we're nuts ever since I chased down the road after 2 jogging fireman when they lived in CA! Fingers crossed you can shake of the 'bug' in time for the next stroll.
Was today/yesterday - well Mon 13th - Commonwealth Day as per my calendar? We don't 'celebrate' that at all, let alone have a Public Holiday!

Tut, Maz - a bad work(wo)man blames their tools - and we thought you were the professional caterer :-P

Next foray into fast walking is not until 31st March. This is good because this virus appears to be a recurring variant. Not feeling too bad but am glad I have a couple of weeks to recover properly.

Had a giggle the other day. I was on my way somewhere with a friend and a fire engine drove past. I commented on the fact there was a fire engine, hey look, a fire engine type announcement. Felt like such a dill. However I could not exactly add, I am a Nutter from Nut Lodge and such an event is noteworthy and worth a comment. I wonder if it has been to Maz or YGs place. Now, I really couldn't could I. But I did think it!!!!
I noticed the 1000 viewer has come up on the thread. That means 1000 have taken a look but we have posted 16459 times. I am up very late. Couldn't sleep but am now yawning again. Will be doing my zombie imitations in the morning.

Whoops error message. This means you will have me in duplicate. What a lovely idea, two of me. Will stand by and delete one.

We may still have a Sooty puppet tucked away somewhere, circa 1950's! Sue was after our time; they only had Sweep and Matthew Corbett - who always got soaked with water at the end of the show :-D

I have viewed and viewed and viewed without posting and the number is stuck on 999... either that or it thinks I am a revolving door or on a piece of elastic.

Det, we called our daughters slippers (which had little dogs like Sweep on them) Ping and Pong.

We both used to watch Sooty and Sweep with the children when they were small. I used to look forward to it... was probably the best thing on the TV. Sue was so good at housework, I did envy her.

What's that? Maz was so desparate for for company she decided to have an indoor barbique???? :-D

YG, with two of us nagging Aunty about working on days off, she may finally take notice; but it's unlikley. Glad to hear you are feeling better Aunty, nevertheless. Can we guess were you are off to next weekend??

Persie's onion tale is on par with mine. My father's visiting carers called out the gas board; It turned out the pong was his stinky shoes - lol.

Didn't do much yesterday, apart from keeping OH company watching the RU on TV, but today, I was off out and back before 0930, with a few more GBP in the piggy bank! Needless to say, OH hadn't arisen at that point.

I think the number of 'views' only changes when a new person has a look at a thread, not when a returnee posts or peeks.

Forsythia in the kitchen.. I won't tell Dea... better not get in the way of making breakfast.

Wet here this morning (bin day) but himself managed to get outside later in the day to work on his garage and I have been clearing rubbish and the area in front of the garage... one day we will put the vehicles in there again :-0

Deer fence completed: check
Deck finished: check
Camp kitchen and cabins still under construction. Communal showers installed along with several other facilities.
Have to go to DIY place to get solid hobs for cooking on or shall we cook with gas..
I saw a pipeline going through the dungeon.

When we moved to where we are now, there was this smell in kitchen and I tracked it down to the onion bag in the pantry.. and thought will go through that and get rid of offending item when I get home from work. Unbeknown to me OH rang the gas board and had them checking under the house for a pipe leakage (we had electric). Apparently there was gas in this area at one time. ho hum.. ;-)

oh what fun ........... guess Maz was just bored!

nothing much happening here ......... Oh was out in the garden earlier, and has brought several large branches of forsythia in for me to force inside. The flowers on one of the branches are all almost fully out. He put that one on one of the kitchen counters. The other, really long and wide branches ....... he dropped on the floor, in the narrowest part of the kitchen

I'd better go and sort them out, so we can get to the front of the house :-D
