With the rain forcast, they will probably be very wet but clean. Mind you, if its too wet, there may be even more opportunities for..........ahem....quick, change the subject! ;-)

LG is probably too tired after cleaning up after the littlies cooking session.

For Pauline, when she is allowed a bit of peace and quiet on the computer..... I gave OH a pamphlet about U3A and suggested he looks them up on line. Has he? Has he h*ll! :-|

Evening DET.

Yes, from what I have read it seems that the woman was under the influence of drugs.

It is a very tragic case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. People in the town have really pulled together and they have raised in excess of £2K for the family.

I don't know where all the Nut Castle residents are hiding, other than Maz, of course, who is away on her 'less than clean' weekend :-D :-D ;-)

I can imagine how tired you feel tonight. There is nothing worse than standing around. It must be the worst part of the job.

That's so sad YG - not many news items stick in my memory, but that one does. Have they said it the woman was on something, or off her meds?? If the later, then another example where 'care in the community' and Patient's rights to refuse medication have contributed to a tragedy. People with mental illnesses can refuse medication, unless they have been 'Sectioned'. :-0

Really shattered today - a couple of hours of standing, not talking, reading or moving about much, can be really, really tiring.

If Aunty looks in before her weekend away - drive safely and good luck with the walk/run :-D

I'm here now!! Weekend again!!

I have just been watching the funeral service on the BBC news for the young teenager who was stabbed to death in our local park on 14th February. The service was just up the road from me, where I got married and my mother's ashes are buried. It looked to be a lovely service, but oh so sad. Her attacker didn't even know her. It was a 26 year old woman who stabbed her and she was able to call the police for help on her mobile, but died later in hospitall.

Where-is-every-body???? :-0 :-0

Surely not gathering supplies in case they are snowed in??? Even Sylvia's turned to rain.

A brief break between work work sessions. Back later, perhaps?

Hi all

and hello Dorothy Theresa

We woke up to snow yesterday morning ................... but it had almost all gone by late morning.

Woke up this morning to freezing temperatures, but sun.

are there any horses????

we were camping in Newfoundland many years ago, stopped for lunch at a picnic site on a grassy field where there had once been farms etc, but area now included in a National Park. So people had been moved out.

Had lunch, casually watched some horses in the distance. Then consulted the map before leaving ...........

...... immediately a horse was behind me EATING the map over my shoulder!!!!!!!!!!

I never heard it creep up to us!

but we had to use this map the rest of the time ...... with its greenish chewed corner

see ya's

YG Report 1 Mar 2012 19:31

We could try it with a chicken and a spider as well and finish up with an eight legged chicken with furry legs!! :-D :-D :-D

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 1 Mar 2012 19:03

Cross breeding now there's a thought if we cross a chicken with an octopus 1. we would all have a leg each and 2 they would not slip off the plates :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

I'm up for a meet as well. I just need to plan well in advance if possible, as I will have to make sure noone else is off at the same time. New restriction brought in due to lack of staff!! One at a time, except when it suits the boss to allow otherwise :-S :-S

What's all this talk of creepy crawly beasties!!! Can't be doing with money spiders, let alone ones the size of your hand :-0 :-0

Aunty, I fully understand your predicament with the fire engine. I can't hear the bloomin' things coming up behind me either, mostly because the radio is drowning out the sound!! :-D :-D

We need two huge paddocks, one for the self sufficiency and one for all the ones that I'm going to look after that will not finish up in Persie's butcher's shop!! :-D

Cow bacon had me well confused too DET!!! I thought I was losing the plot again!! I thought we were into cross breeding for a moment!! :-D

I'm up for a meet. I can juggle around my commitments as we now have plenty of Guiders to cover me. I don't have nursery runs anymore either and only have the little ladies on Friday mornings for our Nanna time

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 1 Mar 2012 16:34

Afternoon all, and hello Dorothy Theresa :-D

What's with the menagerie? Aren't the C(yber) P(ets) enough trouble as it is?? :-D :-D How about Ducks along side the chickens? Their eggs are naughty but nice
Um - bacon off our cows? (confused dot com)

Have a good time in Wet Wales Maz, as it sounds as if you are off at silly o'clock tomorrow. You'll have to try Hill Running, then you can compare aches and pains with Aunty.

A week day meet is fine, if YG can get time off. We'd only have to fit it around Exams and Brownies etc. Now that Pauline has an extra pair of hands at home, she has no excuse not to make the effort to go further afield either!!!
