I think we need to farm something for the meat. I am not too keen on venison and the only good use I have found for mole stew is as an explosive.

Before i forget if we are having a meet this year we need to plan so I can request a day off and its easier to get week days rather than weekends .

Aunty you are a rescue spider person not a WW2 bomber pilot... you would be in the medical core or maybe one of "Natures Reserves" I am like you I would have to rescue it; but you do have some big ones over in your neck of the woods.. and some of them are not that polite.

Welcome Dorothy Teresa. Heavens I had better not do the done Aussie thing and shorten your name to DT. Sounds downright impolite. I see you have been a member since 2009 but have only posted 150 times. Interesting statistics. It means you are either a busy person of few words, or have been building a mighty tree and have little time for chit chat. Doesn't matter which it is we will soon learn you to do the opposite.

YG. I resisted the temptation to follow the fire truck. I had a feeling they might like to have words with me. I really should have stopped before I was into the roundabout but I did not see or hear them. Has me perplexed as to how I could have missed a very large red fire engine with flashing red and blue lights with yummy firemen inside it. I don't think they had the siren going. Can't remember hearing anything, hmm deaf as well as blind!!

I had to do my spider catching trick again at work work today. Had a staff member who removed herself from her room and refused to return until the offending critter was deaded. It was a beautiful tree spider almost as large as the palm of my hand. I caught and released it in the garden. I'm thinking of painting a spider on my door everytime I get to set one free. Sort of like the bomber pilots in WW2 used to do.

I am off over the weekend doing a race walk about 90 km south of here. And before you start with the smart remarks, no I am not walking to the venue. My fitness friend and I are driving there, staying overnight Saturday, torturing our poor bodies on Sunday and then driving back again.

Well seeing the red and white throne looks so lonely and red and white I think I might practice my graffiti for a few minutes. Swish, splotch, spatter, paint, paint. There we go. A giant black Crow on a background of red, yellow and dark blue. That should give them food for thought!!

I said I'd milk the cows but now it looks like I've got to clean the cow dung up as well................. how did that job get added on to my list? :-) :-)

Hello Dorothy Theresa.... Pull up a pew and be seated.

There is stew in the vat (hope you like mole)... I will be BBqing lamb chops later with garlic and rosemary. There is mint sauce and I have grilled tomatoes and mushrooms and some lovely runner beans which have been growing on some extra deer fence palings that I have put up in the back garden.

YG... there will be free range eggs in the morning... if you would care to venture in to the chicken coop... you can go in quite early (in the dark) I have put up fairy lights in there. That should distract her from my butchery...
