We could add some Mopane worms if you like! Lovely little crispy things when they are cooked!! I kid not >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
although I have never had the courage to sample any!! Will give the bugs a miss too! Sorry Persie!!

Definitely need a snow roof!!! It seems to be the 'in thing' at the moment as the rain is avoiding us!!

Venison patties are not dry, they are wood smoked first and they beat the ordinary hamburger pattie by a long chalk.

The deck looks pretty good, those multi-cutters are great. Not sure whether to do a wooden pergola on top or some of that plastic novaroof ... then we could sit out in the rain... or do you lot have snow roofs that cover your decks.

I eat yabbies when I am in Oz as well... I like most fish or crustaceans and besides anything would be better than what has been stewing in that vat.

Found this about the bugs - (they are) "like the taste of crabmeat, lobster or crayfish - MB's are similar in taste". Sounds OK to me! If you were to see the whole fish for some we in the UK eat, it would be a proper turn off - lol

Moreton bay bugs? Well, we’ll try anything once! Not too sure about the venison patties; although they are a health alternative to other red meats, venison does tend to be a bit dry. Lamb Cutletts? Bring ‘em on – lamb is so expensive in the UK.

I could get some sausages from the local farm butcher -they are really great. Virtually no fat comes out while they are cooking.

How about bananas wrapped in foil and cooked on the embers? Yum, yum!

I grabbed a patio table and deck chairs... Aunty will probably want a swinging lounger.... while I was at Bunnings.

I am off to the Mad Butchers later as I do not fancy barbecued mole, no amount of sauce will get rid of that earthy flavour.

How about venison patties and prawns, lamb cutlets and some moreton bay bugs.. a couple of salads... followed by barbecued pineapple with castor sugar on them slices as per Ainsley Harriott's idea.

What's this about whistling at the fellas next... I thought that was always... ????

Just been over to check my emails and now I have come back it has disappeared :-D.

+++DetEcTive+++

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 21 Feb 2012 09:13

I did get out of sequence, but none are showing as unread. We've sorted out train times, and which stalls we would like to see, so it probably wasn't anything of consequence.

Go to your email account, and follow any unopen links - that should clear it...or you could 'turn a few pages' and until it disappears.

You look very fetching in your builders outfit Persie; so practical and egalitarian! You’ll be whistling at the fellas next. ;-) Yes please to the Barbie, a sun umbrella and loungers while you’re at it.

Bang, bang, bang.. hammer, hammer, hammer...

hmm need some more planks... have seen plenty of them lying around on the boards.. better don't rip up the boards and use them......

Just whistle while you work (whistle)
Put on that grin and start right in
to whistle loud and long
Just hum a merry tune (hum)
Just do your best and take a rest
and sing yourself a song

Nope don't think much of those planks... will use some lovely rimu decking I have in the woodshed.... this is the carpentry woodshed, not wood for burning and using to heat vats of stew.

I just have to nick off to Bunnings to get some 75s decking nails...

Should I get a BBQ whilst I am there?

Persie

You all know what happened the last time we set out to buy a new throne. Don't think I have that story but I do have the one about when LG and Meriweather shot up the mole stew with the lazer and bazooka.
Might go look see what other rebuilding gems I have hidden away!!

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 20 Feb 2012 22:07

I have not nodded off I am drawing up thre plans for my new throne room. Evening YG I am also looking up some train times,

YG

YG Report 20 Feb 2012 22:00

If LG has nodded off I might just be able to sneak in the throne room!

Can't wait to see what the new one is like in the castle! I wonder if we are having a new throne as well. :-D
