Aunty, like the addition of the wings. Not quite sure yet whether you are planning to use them to visit us over here, or you are trying to tell us how angelic you are!! :-D

DET, you were up and about early this morning!!

And very smart wings they are too! How about asking the IT Guru if he can assist in adding the errant wand?

Ooo yes, those workhouse records. I've spent hours trawling through the Minster Admittance/Discharge books for my grt grt grandfather - he used it as an old people's home from sometime between 1901 and 1911, dying there age c92 in 1922. The covers were red, and stained the hands something awful. Never did find the admittance entry, although he went on 'leave' several times.

Another tack may be to phone the birth Registering Office. If they are willing to look up the original entry, they may have other handwritten entries to compare it to.

Aunty now has wings, handy, but has lost wand, traumatic. Trying to see if I can have both. Hope they don't believe I'm a raving lunatic.

Well I am but I like to keep that info to myself.

A brief visit......

Glad to hear that's another bit of paper under your belt Maz. But with your background, it should have been a walk over.
See if you can track down the Admission Books for the workhouse - they may have a clearer entry about your Ms Flack/Jack etc. If you can scan the BC, bung it this way and we may be able to decypher it for you.

All clear at the Dentist, thank you YG :-D <<<<< polished teeth!
