Evening everyone.

I had heard that there were floods in Queensland, Aunty, but didn't know about northern NSW. My rellies live at Newcastle, so hope they are ok as that is east, I think!! Not being geographically knowledgeable about Oz, I could be totally wrong!!

I did warn you about DET, LG!! Never thought about the boot polish though!!!

T'was the Oirish in his heritage David!

Funny how we recall the sayings/songs our parents used to say; when my Dad was loosing his marbles, he used to leave verses of song around his house, which he said his mother used to sing to him :-)

Enjoy the peace and quiet Aunty. Pity Spot wasn't included in OH's hoilday, then your TV viewing would have been uninterrupted!

We did go out for lunch, and very good it was to. Except PC phoned with an advance request for a lift back from the railway station. Although coffee was forgone, the rest of the food was eaten leisurley, and she only had to wait 10 mins or so.

Today being the first time we've been out since it snowed, its a amazing how our road seems to still have a lot of snow on the gardens, where as it has melted more in other places. Odd.

David

David Report 7 Feb 2012 14:21

We had a few inches of snow sleet a couple of days ago hardly lasted but it froze over.Treacherous around these parts under foot.
Hope the rest of you are OK where ever you are.

When I was a boy my Father used to come out with some funny things.Thought he was speaking a foreign language at times.
He used to utter this strange long word that sounded like "Tallyamboo??????bijaga"

Hadn't a clue what he was saying, but it made us smile.

Hi all, been out carousing with the girls tonight. Our regular get together. Ate far too much and drank nothing but water. I am sooooooo boring can't even tell tales of drunken revellry.

Floods in Queensland and northern New South Wales. Feel sorry for the people whose livelihoods and house are being destroyed. It is a fairly common occurrence at this time of the year, flooding that is.

You brought back memories with your tuba playing Sylvia. My Mum used to sing ta ra ra boom de ay to us when we were children.

A smart and stylish girl you see,
Belle of good society;
Not too strict, but rather free,
Yet as right as right can be!
Never forward, never bold--
Not too hot and not too cold,
But the very thing, I'm told,
That in your arms you'd like to hold!

CHORUS
Ta-ra-ra Boom-de-ay!
Ta-ra-ra Boom-de-ay!
Ta-ra-ra Boom-de-ay!
Ta-ra-ra Boom-de-ay,
Ta-ra-ra Boom-de-ay,
Ta-ra-ra Boom-de-ay,
Ta-ra-ra Boom-de-ay,
Ta-ra-ra Boom-de-ay!

There are several more verses to the song, but I can only remember her singing the first verse.

Yes my monster counting has been completed and sent off to the hallowed halls of central office so them what hands out the donations can send us our pittance.

Well done on the house inspection LG. Must remember to tell you some of the more original quick fix house repairs we have perpetrated in our time. Chewing gum can be quite a versatile repair substance.

Whoo hoo from tomorrow until Friday I am OIC TV remote control!!! I've made Spot my 2IC providing he does not want to go for walks when I am practising my channel changing.

By the way LG have you heard the rumour, now reported to be untrue, that Adam Lambert was to be the new lead singer of Queen. Heavens he would have to be awfully good to be successful at doing that. I can't say I have heard of him but there was some mention of it on radio the other day.

Morning all, Just looked at my last posting last night. Good typos :-0. Shows just how tired I was :-D.

Enjoy lunch Maz and DET if you go.

Not even the tuba playing woke me last night :-P

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 7 Feb 2012 10:01

Sorry Sylvia, we were dead to the world and not even your delightful Tuba playing woke us - lol

Maz - Enjoy your day out. We have a 25% off voucher that is about to expire so may go out for lunch ourselves.

If the place became a mess while you were out, it couldn't have been you who caused it. Assuming it was a 2 legged person, or the 2 legged person was there when it happened, you'll have to have......WORDS :-|

Do you think that counting students has put Aunty in to a coma???

There are always chores LG, but at least you can pace them to suit yourself tomorrow!!

I wish I could stay at home and get on with something that I want to do, instead of having to face the stress of the job.
