Evening everyone :-)

By 'eck, it's cold and blustery out there, rain too on and off!! I braved going out into the garden during a drier spell and raked up a load of leaves from next door's beech hedge that always blow across to my garden :-|

No lazy Sunday, as i have done the bathroom as well :-) :-) Just sitting down now to wait for the roast chicken to finish cooking and watch DOI :-)

LG, I have a duel fuel cooker, with a gas hob and electric oven. I bought it so that I wouldn't be stuck if there was a power cut as I could boil water on the hob for a drink and cook some basic meals I prefer full gas, but the council are trying their best to get rid of it apart from central heating.

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 5 Feb 2022 23:31

ZZzzz

ZZzzz Report 5 Feb 2022 23:22

Oh no, not very comfortable either. When I video chat with my friend in America I'm upstairs on the main computer, not the best seat in the house either.

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 5 Feb 2022 22:51

So am I as I wouldn't be sitting here talking to you. I would have had to sit upstairs among all the boxes on the other computer :-D

ZZzzz

ZZzzz Report 5 Feb 2022 22:49

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 5 Feb 2022 22:46

ZZzzz Report 5 Feb 2022 22:43

Yeah techno stuff, things change or update then you can't find anything so have to get help or throw it up the chimney. :-|

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 5 Feb 2022 22:38

Can't beat jacket potatoes cooked in a bonfire :-D :-D :-D. Dad and I used to do that when we burnt all his wood offcuts . I could sling a pan of baked beans onto and we would be sorted.
We will probably have gas again but we shall see what I fancy tomorrow :-D

Evening LG :-)

Bloomin' technology. it drives you mad sometimes!!

Have you decided whether you are having a duel cooker, gas or electiric? It will probably be a lot cheaper to dig a charcoal pit in the garden and cook on that :-D :-D :-D

Evening all . blimey YG I am tired just reading what you have been up to. :-0 :-D :-D. We have more packing done and then I spent almost an hour swearing at the laptop as it decided to have a hissy fit and play me about :-| :-| :-|. I eventually tricked it into doing what I wanted it to and then got a load of letters and forms printed off :-D. We are off out tomorrow to look for a new cooker so that this one can go to the tip

It's good that you have help from your son when you need it :-)

YG

YG Report 5 Feb 2022 20:10

Ha-ha!! That's why I'm commotose on the sofa tonight :-D :-D :-D :-D The worst for me is my back and neck as it gets to me quite quickly, so have to take frequent breaks.

If I didn't work, I would take it much easier and do a bit each day, but everything has to be fitted into a weekend, so I try to give one room per week a really good clean and just vacuum and dust the other rooms. I know then that each one has a good clean every month.

I have definitely slowed down a lot, as I used to do all the gardening as well, apart from the hedge cutting. It is a large corner plot with a massive area of grass to cut, so I have someone to do it now once a month and my son comes mid month in the height of summer when it is growing fast.

Blimey far to much for us to do in a day, I wish I had your ability and energy to do it.
