I know, LG. I'm getting a bit paranoid again about going far. C bought R, M and me tickets for Strictly at the end of this month. It is at Manchester Arena and the city has the highest number of infections in the north. In a way I was hoping the government would bring in restrictions for live events, but nothing yet and I am worried as we are also going for a meal first.

Best to be very cautious as some folk get it worse than others. This new variant is spreading like wildfire but does not seem to be so vicious as the first one.

Yes, we did!! I told R that we are the A team :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

He was out with his half brother on Thursday on a memory trip of the places where they grew up and he now has Covid as well!! R has spent 3 days in bed, but is feeling a little bit better tonight. He says the thumping headache has gone but he is feeling totally wiped out. He's very relived that M, C or me haven't got it. C has been staying out all day every day with her new boyfriend to keep out of the way. She won't even let Poppy into her bedroom as she has been keeping R company on the bed!! C's terrified of getting it as she starts work officially on Tuesday :-) :-)

;m surprised they were open, LG. The charity shops near you will be full by the time you've finished :-D :-D :-D :-D

That's two of us done good jobs today!! Well three, actually, as M has taken down all their outside lights, much to my surprise!! I don't think they had them on the roof guttering, as I can't imagine her doing that, but they had loads on the bushes and across the front of the garage that would be easy to reach.

Evening YG, good job done there :-D :-D. We took loads of bags to the charity shop today but still have more to go.

YG Report 2 Jan 2022 19:36

Where are you all hiding??

I am very proud of myself today as I managed to take down the outside lights from the guttering that went right round the bungalow! R put them up for me but can't take them down until next week, so i thought if I could manage it using the small steps then I would have a go!!!

The two sets are down and all packed away in their boxes, but I've told him that he has to put them up again when needed!!

I have plenty of me time as there is nobody else to bother me, but I just don't learn when to rest!!

I've just cleared up the carnage in the kitchen, so sitting with a well deserved cuppa and a piece of cake instead of a pudding :-D :-D

YG Report 1 Jan 2022 20:40

Evening LG :-)

I have spent a lot of my time off sleeping and it took me until Wednesday afternoon to start feeling a bit of benefit. Yesterday and today have been the best days of my leave
and the first ones where I haven't fallen asleep in the afternoon or early evening!! I am feeling more like normal now and have a bit of energy.

We sometimes push ourselves way beyond the limits, LG, and it has to take its toll at some point!!

Evening YG, mine have been put away for 11 months too. I had a really good clean through upstairs today and I am cream crackered now. :-D :-D. I have been sitting doing a bit of family tree this afternoon and I was nearly nodding off at times :-0.

YG

YG Report 1 Jan 2022 19:37

Evening everyone :-)

All my decorations are down and packed away for another 11 months :-D :-D :-D :-D The C word is now forbidden until 1st Dec 2022. I'm off to buy some Creme Eggs and Hot Cross buns tomorrow :-D :-D :-D :-D

It was a busy morning, but it always seems to go away a lot quicker and it goes up!! All vacuumed, clean and tidy and I have also cooked myself a roast dinner that you usually have on the 25th :-D :-D :-D :-D It was far better than the restaurant dinner and I have cleared my plate. Wondering whether to have the seasonal pud or a piece of cheesecake with Lotus biscuit crumb topping or stick toffee pudding :-D :-D
