What are you up to? LG, are you still painting?

I was quite surprised about it too

In the general scheme of things it is quite a lot of money to us but to banks it is a drop in the ocean I can understand if they question what we pay in but not if we are taking from our own accounts. :-(

I was questioned when I wanted to draw a good bit of money from our account. :-|

I don't know about you but I don't see how we can be cashless, which I think the government is trying to do, it seems to crop up now and again.
When my Dad gave me £500 in cash a very long time ago and I wanted to pay it into my currant account I was asked all sorts of question until they were happy that I wasn't laundering it,

It is a worry with all this contactless, cards,phones and watches. All are likely to be stplen easily

My card was contactless but I had it removed because I couldn't see the point and apparently if someone steals your card they can have quite a spending spree before it is realised and by then the damage is done.

Too right it is easy to lose track of spending

Hubby pays for everything with his card, we can't remember the last time he used cash. I prefer cash because I know where I am with it and can't over spend.

We still use cash when we go out to lunch at our usual place and I also pay very small amounts with cash rather than use my card

Cash seems to be a dirty word now, not so long ago I would draw out enough cash for shopping and maybe lunch in a cafe and the like, not so easy now.

You could also get a discount for cash but that is now also unheard of

I remember when there was a saying that the price of something was an invitation into the shop, I was with my Dad in the 60s when he was buying paint etc and when told the price of it all said no thanks I'll go somewhere else, they brought the price down he bought it, everyone was happy. Can't do that these days. :-(

We are fit for nothing now and aching. But hey ho tomorrow is another day.

It sure will, a neighbour said we must have lots of money, I said not any more we don't lol.

Evening, I have been painting nearly all day. Just over half done now thank goodness ,

Well what busy bees we have been today, almost stripped the front bedroom ready for new carpet to put down, then putting it all back, does look good though.

Next week it will be the lounge / dinner, that will be a nightmare but the carpet fitter will help moving the heavy stuff out and back in, if it's dry enough to take outside that is :-D

I wouldn't want to buy this one even if I could afford it :-D
