Apparently ours is not too expensive, which price wise is true but you can't do anything with it, as the saying goes It is what it is.

The prices around here are horrific and I could no way afford one

Just looked at house prices in this area £292,000 for a two bedroom one, no garage and can't extend it in any way.

Ours is ok these days either for retired couples which is what we are or for couples to get on the property ladders, but having said that I wouldn't want to pay the price for it.

We would like a 2 bedroom now that there is just the 2 of us

We bought ours 1988 ish but what we weren't told then is that we could have bought a bigger one and still have the council discount, had known that we would have bought a 3 bedroom one.

Ours is HA and 2 double bedrooms and a small 3rd and I mean small

When we moved in it was a council house and the permitted number to live here was 6 two bedrooms it would be cramped what with all the clothes and footwear then there is the matter of cupboard space for crockery etc.

The rooms are not big but the hallway is :-S :-S. Lord knows who designed it but I could have done a much better job :-D :-D

We don't have a big house so it doesn't take long to paint any room, the problem we have is where to put things like furniture, no garage or spare room. :-( we have often said if the council only built 4 houses instead of 6 it would have been better.

That's me done for the day,I am cream crackered. More to do tomorrow as my hallway and landing are quite big :-| :-D :-D.

I am just about to start the paint so that is my day sorted ;-)

Ours is an upright one and is easy ish to do if I don't leave it to long to do if I don't leave it to long doing it too. I hate doing it too.

I need to do my freezer and hate having to do it :-| :-| I might wait until the year end when I am on leave :-D :-D

Hubbies idea of getting rid of the pine needles and oak leafs is to get the blower out and blow them onto the grass, that's it, no picking them up and putting them in a bin.
I have been busy defrosting the freezer, made two loaves of bread, or rather the machine did and the usual H word stuff.

I have been busy with unmentionables today and also went outside this morning to sweep up all the hawthorn leaves from the pavement. I can't believe how quickly they have gone from green to yellow to dropping off!! The make a real mess. I have swept a lot back under the hedge in the hope that they will make a good mulch for the soil, but it sounds as though we are going to get some strong winds, so I could have wasted my time!! Maybe it will blow them right up the road away from here!! :-D :-D

Evening all, what have you all been up to today. I have been preping the hallway walls for a fresh coat of emulsion which is tomorrows task.
