Oh I would find a way to carpet them, I'm not to keen on seeing through what I'm stood on.

Ours are open slatted stairs and would be difficult to carpet.

We used to have varnished stairs but decided to have them carpeted for safety reasons.

You are getting there then, the stairs are always the awkward bit. We have open wooden stairs so they only need a fresh coat of varnish when they get scruffy :-D

I have moments like that too Maz, senior moments are what we call them.

LG, the stairs are done, he will be back Thursday to do the hallway, landing and the front bedroom, then when the lounge/dinning room carpet we ordered is in he will do that too. A lot of upheaval for us because we have to shunt things around having no spare room or garage to put things in for the duration.

I have had a senior moment ,my tablet had not charged today so i have gone round got the spare leads no power ,message plug in charger showing .and guess what the plug was not switched on lol
I nearly got froggy to come back lol I would have been sworn at

It has brightened up now but he has been measuring and cutting at his Dads, two doors along from us, we've all known each other for many years so it is a comfortable feeling to have someone we know and trust in our house. We want him to do the rest of the house so it is all done and dusted and won't need to be done again in our life time. :-D

Fingers crossed it stays like it :-D. It has now clouded over again so I spoke too soon :-P

I won't be doing the vacuuming just yet, the carpet man is here and it isn't raining and the sun is out so it's looking good.......for now.

The heavy rain has just stopped and the sun is trying to break through. I wish our garden waste service was back properly as they are only doing one collection before the winter break :-|. Best shake a leg and show the floor the vacuum so I will see you later

Morning all, good that you had a reasonable night and that you feel better now, we had overnight rain and it kind of eased up a bit but it needs to stop now cos the carpet fitter needs the driveway to measure and cut etc.

Wet and windy here in the far south east too.....BUT things are looking up.

Our garden refuse service starts back today after many weeks absence and our bin has already been emptied.

I might just have to read a book on kindle, saying have nose in my kindle isn't the same as having my nose in a book does it?

One positive thing about rats, you will rarely bump into mice in their area. ;-)
