ZZzzz Report 27 Apr 2021 15:36

I did my longer than usual walk and not to long ago it would have taken me about 20 minutes but today it took 55 minutes, I don't know if I will ever get quicker but at least I can still do it. :-)

ZZzzz Report 27 Apr 2021 10:17

These laws make me smile, if it is polluted soil where will it be put?

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 27 Apr 2021 09:06

Morning ZZzzz.Because of the law that polluted soil must be removed before re developement of land.

ZZzzz

ZZzzz Report 27 Apr 2021 08:55

Morning all, LG I have obviously missed something, why do you have to have top soil removed.
We have a gardener coming in today to re landscape the back and front gardens and i'm going to venture out for a longer walk than usual, looking forward to that. :-D

Yes it is really getting on our nerves now after being let down in the past,we now have a decent land agent sorting it for us but it is slow progress. Sleep well and I will see you tomorrow. :-D <3

YG Report 26 Apr 2021 22:18

What a bummer :-( I hope you get it resolved soon.

I am off to bed now, LG. I'll be around when I get back from R's tomorrow.

Sleep well :-) <3

We will probably contribute towards having the top soil removed but we don't know the cost as we are waiting for estimates from the contractors.

YG

YG Report 26 Apr 2021 22:10

Do you have to get anything done yourselves about it, LG?

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 26 Apr 2021 22:01

We have a buyer but it is all the red tape over soil contamination reports etc that is slowing it down now. :-|

YG

YG Report 26 Apr 2021 21:53

It was May day weekend last year when I went to the pond and saw them. I was going to go after work, but had some jobs to do, so didn't make it :-(

Have you got a buyer now for the garage? I thought it was all going through slowly but surely a while ago?

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 26 Apr 2021 21:49

I have a hose like that but it won't fit on any of the taps now we have had them changed so it is back to the watering can. It is supposed to be showery here on Wednesday but we shall see.
OH is still busy emptying the workshop out and selling stuff off so that is keeping him out of mischief :-D :-D.
I wonder if we have baby ducks on the village pond yet,I have not been past it to look.

YG Report 26 Apr 2021 21:38

R is hoping that things will settle down once A has moved. He says the place could do with decorating but doesn't think it will bother him, so keeping quiet in the hope that m doesn't ask him to do it!!

I got a damned good hosepipe free and I was going to buy one this weekend after pay day. It winds onto a reel and is longer than my old one so will reach the car if I want to give it a wash in between valets. I gave it a good clean and it looks like new now :-) :-)

The rain is coming tomorrow and I hope there is a fair bit as the soil is bone dry and damaging the shrubs. The lawn has suddenly started to deteriorate as well, so hopefully the garden will perk up over the next few days as it is unsettled for the rest of the week.

I want to go the garden centre at the weekend and get plants and compost for the hanging baskets. If it is dry enough, I will have a walk to the park to see if the baby ducks have arrived! R said there is a swan's nest at Lakeside, but it will be too busy there at the weekend. Too many people and nowhere to park!
