Hooray it's melting! Yesterday OH couldn't get to work in London. Eldest son couldn't drive to work in Tenterden. Youngest son couldn't drive to school in Ashford. Darn it, it was my day off! Six hours of ironing, yes, six.

Still coming down thick and fast here in the far south east.
Many local schools closed, which had kept going during the last snowfall a few weeks back.

This is probably the worst snow of the winter for us, ....just when I thought spring was on it's way!

Been snowy and very cold in Norwich and lots of accidents on the roads around the city and beyond. Several people waiting for a bus to go home to Lowestoft, about 30 miles from here, were left stranded after the bus was cancelled when the roads were closed due to accidents.

It's not too deep but the road outside will be icy again with the car tracks squashing down the snow to ice so I will be wary going out.

Hi Gwen, yes, I heard there's more to come and East Kent will get the worst. I'm near Tenterden but will keep my heating on tonight I think!

They did say it was our turn Helen......

Roads and motorways round here (not far from Channel Tunnel ) were blocked, but now traffic is flowing OK.
I think it was the volume of 'going-home' traffic crawling through grim conditions rather than the amount on the ground. Having said that, I think we're due more overnight and Boy does it come down fast !

It's stopped now but the garden is white over and I don't think the roads have been gritted yet........ OH and two sons drove home at about 20mph and are staying in tonight!

My goodness it is snowing hard! I've just been out to bring in more logs for the fire as the central heating isn't coping and my poor hands are frozen!
