Gwen, that's lovely, evocative of our childhood days eh?
Sometimes I wonder where the last 60 years went, so many memories and things happening, yet in some ways it all seems like yesterday. Another time it will feel like more than a lifetime away.

I do hate getting old!

....mind you, I was just thinking that yester-year seemed as if it was only yesterday....I can relate to the little girl sitting on the doorstep, without a care in the world and then as quick as a flash....here we are....Sigh!

Hi Susan,

I had to get some photos of me when young scanned to forward to somebody, and sorting through that box of photos brought back some memories and a half! Me with my two younger brothers, holding my walkie talkie doll, and another with a baby doll I had one Christmas, in our huge garden, a happy looking little girl with my brothers, one sulking, and other pics of me with a donkey at Hemsby, in Norfolk. We took most of our summer holidays there if Mum and Dad could afford the rent on a chalet owned by a work colleague of Dad's. It was only 20 odd miles from our home but as we didn't have a car, it wasn't as if we went to the coast a lot so the week's holiday was special. There are still some of the wooden bungalows left in the dunes at Hemsby but lots have been burned down by yobs, I can never work out which one we stayed in, there were two or three different ones, but the memories come back if I go to Hemsby and walk along the dunes.

Happy days.
