Obviously...lol

I have plenty of duplicate names if they have lost a child but both are living!

Back to trawling for two names depending on her mood that day :-((

Sue,

Won't two Sarah's cause some confusion? Granted you say that your first daughter has chosen to be known as her middle name, Amelia.

As you also mention, this is more common if an earlier sibling had passed away. I know this is what happened in the earlier 20th century. I know that my gt grandmother gave birth to two girls with the same christian name, after the first child had passed in infancy.

I am sure, though, that both your girls will be individuals, although sharing a name!

I don't think Sue meant that she had named two of her own daughters Sarah.

Or have I got it wrong?

Sorry Sue.

Just read Rose's post, and realise that it's a friend you are asking for? Doh!

Don't know how that I missed it, but readind it again, you would hardly have a wife( called Sarah), if you are Sue.

Wishing you well

Just in case you lose track of Amelia, this may help...?

I have spent a while looking for an Amelia this afternoon, ....she and hubby flipped in and out of Wales on almost alternate census....then I lost her.

I searched for her young son and found him with his parents, but she had been mis transcribed as Cunelia

.....Nice to have a bit of variety of names.......

Oh funny Gwyn...lol

I have spent ages correcting transcriptions! The best ones are my Welsh place names. If it starts with Ll then just pick a village the enumerator can spell and stick that in!!!

You'd be surprised how many times my gt,gt,gt,gt x grandpa moved around Lake Bala.
