He really is a brave man to allow all that to be done to him. Chemo 27yrs ago, I went in for the weekend and was back at work on the Monday. Wasnt eligible for sick pay, so had to do it in my time off.

I used to take my sil to her chemo sessions. It can be quite a long, drawn out day and the hospital she went to was a very busy one anyway. Good luck to your step-dad, sending positive thoughts for him. x

some chemo sessions are done in a clinic on a day basis. When our daughter had Hodgkins 4 years ago she went every 2nd Friday to the Clinic In the Hospital that did all the chemo sessions and I sat with her as she was given the drugs, She had a cocktail of 4 so it took about 2 hours for her to have them given one after the other with the last one being drip fed in as this was the radioactive one.
Sometimes we were at the hospital for going on 6 hours plus as they were very busy in the clinic with chemos being given to around 15 people at a time. The atmosphere though was always very upbeat and lots of laughs used to be heard wasnt a doom & gloom time ever. The staff were absolutley lovely.
Wishing your dad well
