Morning all and evening everyone else,
SUNS OUT and its not raining.............................YET.
Washing out on the line and another load in.
I have one of those annoying buzzy flies in the kitchen and shall have to get it out as its driving me barmy.
Gill you hav'nt much to do now you have most things sosrted. Don't go moving anything too heavy while oh is at work or he will be cross with you when he gets home. You must feel very proud of yourself doing all that sosrting.
Ann thanks for the link. It is certainly a big place but not my style at all. So open and empty and I would'nt like to clean it would you?
Did we hear from Mandy yesterday I can't remember?
My few beans are flowering but the flowers are just falling off. I find this with the first ones. I shall have to find my lime and give them a dose of that. that usually works. My short beans in the pot are doing well and have tiny beans on those about half an inch long.
Thinking of our Fiona and hoping hse is feeling a bit better after the new meds for her headaches. <3

Morning All, Evening Kim,
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY" WILL. Trust you have a good one, I will raise a glass to you later tonight.
Jane, I do feel for all the adopted children whose Mothers couldn't give a cuss whether they survived or not. As you say just a breeding machine, with no thought for their actions. Very difficult for children also from VERY LARGE FAMILIES. I should know being the last of TEN.. One expression I remember so well from my MOTHERS MOUTH was " I DREAD THE DAY THAT GOD PUT BREATH INTO YOUR BODY" As I think I have mentioned before there was no love shown to us from my Mum. Provided we had cloths on our backs, food in our stomachs, and a clean bed. That's where her responsibility ended. So being bought up by your birth mother had it's disadvantages also.
On my first wedding day, my mother stood at her bedroom window shouting obscenities at me as I walked up my pathway to get into a relatives car to go to get married. When I met Ros in 1977. I lived with her mother and father. When we decided to move in together , my mother would ring Ros most Sundays asking "HAS HE ASK YOU TO MARRY HIM YET" When we decided to get married. We went to see her to tell her the news, and one again abuse came from her lips. I didn't see her again until the day before she died in 1980. Why she was so bitter in her life I really don't know, but my, how the memories linger !!!
Liz how did Cassie fair last night.?? I am sure she didn't show Iain up ;-) ;-) ;-)
Gill What are you going to do with your time now that you have all your jobs done ???
Better sort of morning here today, a touch fresher and a little brighter, but no sunshine yet.
Ann is one HAPPY BUNNIE then with her favourite Carvery open again. Is it going to be regular or was this a one off. ???
Late last night I watched "Return to River Cottage" Where they were out shooting Rabbits at night, and what they cooked up with them. As children we would have rabbit any way it could be cooked other than BURGERS, they weren't around then. I always found it to be very nice, the saddle being the nicest bit <3 <3 <3 It just shows how times have changed, I can't remember the last time I ate it !!
Ros is out with Carolyn today so I AM HOME ALONE. with my book and tele.
Gill my Son Simon will be 50 on Sunday the same day as your husband. I have tried to find where he is living for the passed week so I can send him a card. But without any luck. I have tried my Daughter, but had no reply, Facebook but he is not on there anymore. So I will just have to wish him "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" on Sunday with be able to make contact.
I'm not the happiest bunny in the warren this morning. SORRY.

I've given up trying to put the wardrobe door back on, it's to heavy and Sandra and I have been trying to put the door on for about an hour and half, so we've decided to just put the furniture in the front room and leave the doors for OH to do. I got so frustrated with the door I ended up in tears. I just wanted to surprise OH when he came home. Hopefully everything will be done apart from the doors and putting the dinning room table back up if that proves to be to heavy for Sandra and I to do. I took the door off the wardrobe because it's a mirror and I didn't want to break it, so I'll have to do the same with the next wardrobe too. Once the last wardrobe is in the rest will be lighter to do.
We cheated moving the wardrobe and lay it on it's side and pushed it into the other room then just lifted it up into place, that bit was easy LOL.
Sorry to hear about your life Frank, I've sent you a PM
My OH's birthday is on Friday he'll be 49 so a year younger than your son. OH was suppose to be in work all day but he swapped shifts with someone, so he doesn't have to go to work till 2pm, he didn't want Sandra to be upset if he wasn't here when she woke up.......She loves birthdays and gets more excited than the person the birthday is for and can't wait to see her dad's face when he opens his presents off her.
Well, I'd better get back to moving this furniture, it's quite hot and when it's all finished I've decided to have another soak in the bath and relax for a bit. I'm aching everywhere but can't leave the job half done as the place is a bit upside down at the moment, which I don't think OH wants to come home to tonight LOL.
I've got the rest of the cupboards to sort out in the living room and kitchen next then everything will be finished, so it'll be the garden again after that as the weeds are starting to take over.
Keep your chin up Frank, we all love you <3 <3. BBL

Frank, Cassie behaved really well yesterday evening. OH was given a lot of advice on the training front, so we both know exactly how to manage her. Today she seems a bit subdued!! Tired I should think!!! I think perhaps your mother just had too many children to cope with Frank. It must have taken a lot out of her, particularly in those days, what with the war, lack of household appliances, and just the plain unadulterated hard work that it took to keep a big family clean and fed. It probably wasn't you in particular, just too many of you, which perhaps led her to resent you later additions. I can see how upsetting its been for you and difficult to cope with. Better day here. O H is busy with the barn today, it's coming on a treat - slowly!!

Thanks for your kind words Gill/Liz, Things just get on top of me sometimes. Sorry I let off steam to you all.
The SUN has come out to play. I have just opened the lounge windows and Conservatory door, so there is a slight breeze blowing through.
Gill you remind me of the P.G. Tips advert. Where the monkey calls out to "MR LIFTER" do you want a cup of TEA. :-D :-D :-D You be careful lugging all the furniture around. You will do yourself no good !!!!
Liz, I am so pleased that Iain has picked up some tips to help with Cassie's training. You must keep us informed of her progress <3 <3
I was on the phone to an old friend this morning for best part of two hours. Good job I didn't have to pay for the call, as I have a anytime package. We have put the world to right, and promised we will meet up soon for a coffee or a pint. We have been saying that since I last saw him, at his brothers funeral.
Time to get back to my book and a cuppa.
See you later.

She's got a permanent smile on her face! I think she landed on her paws coming here!!! Happy Birthday to William, I hope it's a good one.

I wonder what William is doing today for his 80th? Hope his weather is as nice as ours is today.
Oh is out on the mower and I have been sorting some things out the corner cupboard in the kitchen. Its the one you tend to chuck things in and forget about so a few things have been thrown away.

The wanderer has just returned, loaded down with MORE PLANTS. When questioned where are you going to put all those, she replied, I will find somewhere for them. She said she still has a lot to go in the front garden. KEW GARDENS here we come in competition :-D :-D :-D :-D
I have been and watered all round. I see there will be more beans for tomorrow (SORRY JANE) <3 <3 <3 That's why I always start mine off in pots to get them going. I'll send a photo if that helps !!!!
It's turned out to be a nice afternoon with some late sun.
Ros is doing a Stir Fry tonight so I have a nice easy evening. I might even wander down for a pint later. ;-) ;-) ;-)
Liz give Cassie a cuddle from me, and tell what a good girl she was last night !!!!
If this weather continues the children will be in the pool over the weekend Mandy, hope you have plenty of dry swim suits, as I hated walking around in wet trunks.
How's our Fiona today ?? I trust the new meds are helping with the head.
I bet Will, has had a nice day for his B'day. Did you have a couple of little Jameson# to celebrate ???
Where's lady Jane today, or have I missed her ??? How's our lovely THOMAS, any more presents ???

Afternoon All Today has just flown by.I think it was because we both had a very slow start this morning.Chris slept till well gone 9 !!!!.I think it was about 11 by theme we were both showered and dressed. The sun has finally come out and it feels very warm. There is not a cloud in the sky now.
Frank you know you can let off steam at any time. What a pity you can't find where Simon is to send him a card.Families eh !!!!!!.That must have been very hurtful for you with your Mother saying such horrible things :-(
I have spent the afternoon trying to write a letter to Sasha.Lots of bits of paper later I have finally done it.Kept it short and sweet .She is already totally overwhelmed with the meeting with Peter and finding out about how many siblings she has/had.She just needs time to get her head around it all and then maybe when she is ready (if she is ready ) then we can all get together .
There have been a lot of planes and big Helicopters about this afternoon.I wonder what is going on?
Gill it sounds like you have over done it with all the moving furniture and sorting out.The Wardrobe door sounded like the last straw.Time to relax bit me thinks :-D
Tomorrow we are off to Water Perry (nr Oxford) to the Art in Action Fair.I must remember to take my fan this year.
Ruby what a lovely church and grounds. So nice that the children have such a great play area too :-D.I don't think any churches here have play areas.
I have finally cooked that Pork I forgot to defrost the other day.it is all sliced and sitting in loads of thick gravy now ready to be reheated.Potatoes ready to go in ,and Spring Greens,Carrots and Broccoli.I think I have Yorkshires in the fridge too.James WILL be pleased :-D :-D Lordy ,it's quarter to 6 !!!!!!!!

You don't need to apologise Frank, look at me the other day, none of us mind, that's what friends are for, it's nice to know we all have each other to talk to.
So Ros has got more plants I'm surprised you have any space left to plant them all. Your garden does look lovely though. Unlike mine at the moment, the weeds are taking over again and our lawn mower broke the other day.......So we're not going to win any prizes for our jungle LOL. I'm going to buy another lawn mower tomorrow so the lawn will look better by tomorrow night and the weeds will have to wait a bit longer until I've finished the new bedroom and dinning room.
I've stopped for the day now, all the furniture is in the right rooms I just need OH to put the doors on the wardrobes and the legs back on the dining table, then I'll make the bed in the new front bedroom and pop a few ornaments around the new dining room at the back.........TOMORROW
I'm aching in muscles I didn't know I owned, so I'm running a bath, the rest of the work can wait for now.
Sandra's just told me the bath is getting full, so I'll read all the posts later and go and check the bath before it overruns.

Evening All,
<3 :-D HAPPY BIRTHDAY WILL :-D <3. You've had a lovely day for it so I hope you have had a nice time.
Not sure if the carvery will be regular Frank, I think it depends on whether they have enough bookings. They try to get us to book, but we don't always know what time we will be there as OH sometimes has morning meetings that last till lunchtime. Also, what's the point of booking till we are sure there's a carvery, They do a huge menu that's superb, but it's no good to me if I'm going there for a bit of turkey and a plate of veggies. :-S I think we need to have a 'bean race' next year and take you on for the first 'picking' of runners!!! ;-) ;-) lol.
I've said before how my mum was uncaring like yours Frank, roof over your head, a full tummy, what more do you want kind of person. No hugs or kisses and if I asked questions I was told 'Y' is a crooked letter and so is 'Z'. I never did fathom that one but it did discourage me from asking her things which is what she wanted. Once I could dress myself she would stay in bed and I can remember worrying and panicking trying to wake her to plait my hair for school so I wouldn't be late. When I got married the first time, she made every excuse not to come and see my new home 5 miles away and told me I needed to pack everything I had and move it out before our wedding day as she needed my room. I had to take most of my things to my hubby to be's house as we didn't get the keys to ours till the day before our wedding. My 'bottom drawer' was there anyway as my mother said I couldn't save any items for that at home. A bit mean considering they had a detached house with several outbuildings on a third of an acre, but that's how she was. Then the most spiteful thing that was to deliberately upset me was saying they were going to get a dog after I had gone, which they knew I'd wanted and would have loved. On the other hand her own mother, my grandmother, was the opposite and would have a hug for me whenever I saw her and maybe a little painting book or cheap little gift. She was aged 70 when I was born, had raised 9 children and already had 32 grandchildren by the time I came along. She still always had more time for me than my mother though, helped me learn to knit, and was full of praise for anything I did to help her. I liked that she always told my mother I'd been as good as gold. :-)
We found another garden was open at a farm at nearby Bitteswell today so went along. There were lots of people there and a sweet little scruffy dog who was fascinated with their fishpond! Despite her having been bathed for the occasion and brushed, stroking her coat was like stroking brillo pads!!.
Yesterday OH discovered MIL again hadn't been taking the water tablets the doctor had given her. She'd stopped taking them before, ages ago as she said they didn't suit, but we suspect she didn't like having to nip to the toilet more often! It's probably why her legs got swollen so badly. So she took one yesterday and now feels a lot better today. Apparently one of the carers had been telling her she should stay at home and suggesting she move her bed downstairs. OH wasn't too impressed the carers were interfering and pointed out to her that the doctor himself only the other day had said she would get to the point of needing medical care that could best be given elsewhere. She remembered and agreed then and said herself that there wasn't room for the bed downstairs anyway and how you'd get it downstairs with the stairlift track in the way on the narrow stairway goodness knows. Not something I would want OH to try and do.
Off to watch the Dr Michael Mosely prog I recorded now.

I am off to bed now .Early start in the morning.I won't be on here again now until tomorrow night. So Night Night everyone x

Sorry to hear about the way your mum's have treated you Ann and Frank, it's so sad there are so many children out there who have had their childhoods ruined by uncaring parents and then have to live with the memories for the rest of their lives.
Glad to hear your MIL has taken her water tablet now, it will make her feel much better and she can always use the stair lift to get upstairs to the bathroom if she needs to go more often. So you've found another garden to visit. We have a place called Ness Gardens not far from here and it's a lovely place to visit.
Your Thomas is quite a character isn't he Jane........He's never going to change but he is very loveable. The way he looked at the camera when you were filming him as if to say, "This is great fun" he was having such a good time playing with his toys, you can't help but love him <3.
OH was made up that Sandra and I moved the furniture and said it won't take him long to put the doors on the wardrobes tomorrow, he was even made up that I remember to screw the two wardrobes together with the special screws, the way he did it in the other room. It now means he'll have some of his day off to relax instead of having to work all day.
Off to bed now. I'm so tired, see you all tomorrow NIght NIght

Another lovely sunny day today.
Have a great day Jane, hope the weather is as nice for you as it is here.
That was an early morning for you Frank. Isn't it annoying when you can't get back off to sleep? Maybe you could have another sleep later on. I hope you manage to find the address for your son, the electoral roll is the best place to start.........Good luck <3.
Going to get a cuppa now, then finish off the two rooms I started yesterday. OH is going to put the wardrobe doors on for me as they were to heavy for Sandra and I to do. BBL
