Morning all and evening Kim,

Nice morning here today and I hav'nt put any washing in yet and forgot last night too.

My old hands still ache today and I am wondering if it is the cream I am putting on them.

Your build is coming along nicely then Pat and you'll soon be in.

Frank

Frank Report 18 Jul 2015 11:31

Morning All my FRIENDS evening Kim,
Nice morning here also, the breeze seems to be getting up a bit. sand a few clouds are trying to build up, so I might have spoken to soon.

I did go out last night for THREE pints of "ADNAMS SPITFIRE" 4.7 % so quite a strong beer. But boy did I enjoy it, and slept through till 5.30. then till 8.30 when Ros bought the tea in. I laid till 9. 15 listening to local radio. A nice change for me.

Ros has gone shopping with Martine, after she left I had a Telephone call from Carolyn asking if we would like to go to dinner tomorrow. What do you think I said.!!!! :-D :-D :-D I phoned Madam and told her not to get a joint (not that we haven't got enough in the freezer) and we have plenty of veg, which will be used next week. NO COOKING FOR ME HOO RAY ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)

I hope all goes well with your buyers visit Pat. I am sure they are happy with the price they are paying or they wouldn't have offered it !!!

Mel. It will do you good to have a bit of time off from kneeling and bending, can't you find something to do STANDING UP ????

Ann has MIL gone into hospital for the weekend ?? It will give you both a change to catch up with SOME OF YOUR TIME <3 <3

I have put up the NEW LINE, without any accidents ;-) ;-) I was going to mow the back lawn, but decided to leave it as it's not too long. And there's always another day tomorrow.

Jane It sounds like you got into a right old mess with that butter. Tell Chris not to bring home these menus then you won't have to try them. !!!

I am considering what to do now until Madam gets home. She will be late as she is at the hospital for her eyes to be tested about her diabetes, Martine is taking her, then shopping and they are both going to have their nails done so it could be 3.00 pm

Enjoy your afternoon all.

Morning/Evening All

Pat I saw the pics on FB. It is looking great :-D :-D..Is it today you are going to Hunstanton? I think the weather should be ok.

Mel I can't imagine that the cream would make your hands ache.Maybe it was just all that scrabbling in that cupboard.

Well the dreaded' L' word has reared it's head again here....The downstairs toilet has a LEAK :-S :-S..When it is flushed water comes out from the bottom of the cistern :-| :-|
Must be a seal gone.Home Serve will be here between 12 and 6 today.

Lovely morning here but really breezy. It is sneezy weather :-S

Jane

Jane Report 18 Jul 2015 13:25

Frank ,I can't begin to tell the mess I got in with that butter yesterday. It was ridiculous.Good job I am not on Master Chef :-D
Im not making the Hot Cakes today now.I'm not it in the mood for baking.Jess is going to be doing some kind of weird cup cakes :-S.I will be staying out of the kitchen :-D

A load more peas picked this morning and the last of the Broad Beans :-D.
Maybe you should have 3 pints of that Adnams every night Frank if it helps you sleep LOL.

The man has been and fixed the toilet.he arrived at 12 and was gone by 20 past. One very floppy looking seal was the problem. We have only had that toilet for just over a year.I would have thought the seal should have lasted a lot longer than that.(is that the right way to spell seal??)It looks strange.

I hope William has found the package you sent Mel.Hopefully it was with his neighbour.

It has gone all cloudy now :-S

Afternoon all,

I should think it will be ok in Hunstanton if your coming today Pat, it's a bit breezy here but we have seen the sun ,it's always a bit cooler near the coast but at least it's dry .

It sounds as if the pub just might be the answer to your sleepless nights then Frank, take three pints of strong beer just before bedtime :-D :-D don't think you'll get it on prescription though :-D
It will be nice for you to go out for dinner tomorrow ,saves you having to cook .

I should think it's all the lifting stuff out of the cupboard that has made your hands ache Mel, i don't think cream would do that would it ?
I wonder if William has received your parcel yet .

Hope MIL got settled in the hospital ok yesterday Ann, it will do you both good to have a couple of days of free time knowing that they are both being looked after so you don't have to worry so much .

Not more leaks Jane :-0 that seal didn't last long , at last you got it sorted quickly
That butter stuff you made sounded nice , perhaps it would have handled better if you had chilled it a bit first before trying to roll it .
What are the cup cakes Jess trying out ?

Not a lot happening here , we nipped to Te*co's this morning ,bought some bits and pieces and got some clothes for the little ones in the sale ,T Shirts for the boys and tops with the shorts attached for the girls, they did look nice in them, the girls love new clothes .
Hubby is cleaning the pool ,the heavy rain we had the other night has added at least an inch and a half to the pool :-0 with so much rain i was wondering if it would pour over the top !!
I see on the news that two horses in a field were struck by the lightning ,one died and the other one is really poorly they are not sure if it will make it poor thing .

Jane

Jane Report 18 Jul 2015 14:39

OMG Mandy those poor horses :-( :-(.You really did have it bad there.

I didn't really know how to roll that butter.Basically I cocked up :-S.Not sure what Cup Cakes Jess is making.I know there are Bananas and Rum involved !!!!.Can't wait :-S

I have just spoken to my old school friend Sue.She has been so ill in hospital with a burst appendix and Peritonitis. She retired on the Thursday and was in hospital on the Saturday. She is home now after 10 days in hospital .A worry is that they have found a lump in some breast tissue and fluid on her lungs. She had Breast Cancer a few years ago.I just hope and pray that nothing nasty is happening again. She is all ready to put her house on the market and move back to Plymouth .That will be on hold now until she finds out what is going on.

Perhaps I should have put the small parcel in one of those envelopes. I hope he does get it as I could'nt replace it.

William Report 18 Jul 2015 16:33

Whoopie! Got my good old PC back again, thank goodness.

However, not so good news is that I've asked my neighbours and no one has taken a parcel in for us. I'm sorry Mel, but it seems to have gone astray somewhere as we didn't get a card from Royal Mail saying that it was back at the local depot. Your birthday card got here safely so I don't see why your parcel shouldn't have? The only small hope is that the chap next doors wife took it when he wasn't around but she was at work when I called in - but I think it's very unlikely. I don't know if the Post Office will be able to track it from your end. I feel awful breaking this news because it was so good and thoughtful of you to go to the trouble.

It was lovely to sleep in our own beds last night and we were both so shattered that we were in bed just after 10pm - and that's early for us. Today we have caught up with the washing and ironing and got our groceries in.

Now I'll press on with 'jobs to do' now that I'm back on my regular PC.

Afternoon all

Sorry to hear you didn't receive your birthday present off Mel, William. I hope it turns up for you. That's the problem when you've been away all the washing and ironing when you get back :-( :-(.

Those poor horses Mandy, that must of been some storm, you'd have thought the owners would of put the horses in their stable. You must of got some rain if your pool depth has risen that much, you're lucky it didn't come over the top.

Sorry to hear about your hands Mel, hope they get better soon <3.

So you've got the new washing line up now Frank? It's sounds like you've got a solution for sleep 3 PINTS a night LOL

Glad to hear your new house is coming along nicely Pat, it won't be long before you'll be moving it by the sounds of it. Hope all goes well with the buyers.

Hope is all going ok with your MIL and FIL today Ann and that you and your OH have had some quality time together to relax without worry for a short while.

I've been really busy today........Nothing new there LOL I got up at 8.30 this morning which is late for me then nipped out to buy a lawn mower and food shopping, then did a bit of gardening and loads and loads of washing......On the last load now and I've put all the furniture in the two rooms we were swapping around and put in some pictures and ornaments so the rooms are looking a lot better.

I put the quilt and bedding in plastic bags when I emptied the rooms........don't ask me why, silly thing to do, so all that has had to be washed including the quilts as they smelt musty. Luckily the weather has been great, sun and lots of breeze so most of it is dry and there are a few things on the line still drying so it won't be long before I can make the bed up in the new bedroom then both rooms will be finished.... at last :-D :-D.

Off to start dinner now I've been so busy today I haven't eaten yet.

I am so cross you did'nt get it William. I posted it with the card in our local village poat van and I did get a receipt and it care of Woolsery post office. I also put my name and address on the back of it as they say you should.

Jane

Jane Report 18 Jul 2015 17:16

Mel there must be a number you can contact for non delivery of your package. If it is not on the receipt you have ,then go to the Post Office and they will tell what to do.
I think it should have been delivered by 1pm the following day.So something has gone amiss.
Not sure what the Cup Cakes are like yet Mel.My Kitchen is like a war zone at the moment :-S :-S.There is no way I can get in there yet to even begin dinner.
James made a lovely cocktail drink.it was made with Quantro ,fizzy water, fresh mint and Orange slice. It was so refreshing but I now realise how strong it was .Had 3 glasses ;-) ;-).Hic Hic :-D
Gill ,your washing machine must be doing overtime !!!!!!!.Mine has had a rest today :-D
I wil go and see what Jess is up to now !!!!.Gawd knows when I can start dinner !!!!

F1 driver Jules Bianchi has died. He was in an accident during a race 9 months ago and lost his battle to live last night.... RIP <3 Did you see the race last year Mel?

You mentioning raspberries Mel, I've just remembered we have some blackberries in amongst our hedge in the front. OH cut the hedge this morning.....Hope he didn't cut away the blackberries. I will ask him later when he gets in from work.
It's my own fault, we don't normally pick them and I forgot to tell him I wanted to pick them this year.

Jane

Jane Report 18 Jul 2015 18:55

Gill ,I saw that on the news this morning .How sad :-(So young. To be honest I had forgotten about that crash. He was a lovely looking young man.
Hope your Blackberries are safe :-D.OH might not know if he has cut them down in amongst the hedge cuttings.
I must try and get Chris to grow some soft friuts. We have never done that.

Well all is cleared in the kitchen now.I have got Chris's and my dinner in.James and Jess can do their own.I did take a pic of one part of the kitchen. The Kettle is covered in icing sugar.I won't tell you how much was on the floor :-S..Thank heavens for floor wipes :-D

I have some hungry looking birds sitting on the window feeder.Better go and fill it up.

Mel you should be able to track your parcel ,on your receipt there is a ref number ,just go to the Royal M*il track and trace page ,put in your ref and you should be able to see if it's been delivered .

Jane icing sugar does fly every where, did the cup cakes turn out ok ?

It's so sad about the F1 driver dying 9 months after the crash ,i had for gotten about it too and he was such a nice looking young man .

Just watched the programme on channel 4 Homes By The Sea , it was in Norfolk this week , one home was the old block of toilets in Sheringham that a chap bought his wife for their anniversary ,it has a lovely view of the sea and has been done up a treat .

Gillx

Gillx Report 18 Jul 2015 21:28

Blackberries are safe and sound OH didn't cut them, so I'll be picking them soon to add to my apples as I'd like to make some apple and blackberry pies. Might freeze a few of them as I have so much fruit in the garden we'll never be able to eat it all before it goes off.

I grow strawberries in pots in the greenhouse Jane, they are very easy to grow and the birds can't get to them in there. Maybe you could try growing those next year. Sandra has had loads (she's the only one who likes them) and the three plants only cost me £1.99. They grow suckers, I think that's what they're called, and if you keep them attached to the parent plant but plant them in their own pot until they get established, you can then cut them away from the parent plant and have a new FREE plant with more strawberries. I did this with the three plants I bought and ended up with twenty three plants all down one side of our greenhouse that provides strawberries for Sandra all through the summer.

Yes Mel, you could track the missing parcel to find out what happened to it, then William will know where to look to receive it.

Signing out now, it's been a long day. See you all tomorrow <3
