Morning Everyone, Evening Kim
I have been Feeling much better recently, I don't get tired through the day, but still have to take little turns on the computer as my head stills tightens up at the base of the skull . Hope everyone is ok

Much better day here but windy!! Washing on the line blowing away, so should dry pretty well! I've hoovered the bungalow from end to end! and cleaned our bedroom windows! OH has walked Cassie, been to the shop for some milk, bacon and cherries! and is now making a cuppa coffee which we shall take outside to drink. Later on today we're taking Cas for a walk in some woods near us; it's where she will be picking up when she's old enough, so OH wants to familiarise her with the area before November!

Morning Fiona and all, Evening Kim.

Much better morning here, blue sky and sunshine. slight breeze but I don't think it's cold. I thought it turned cooler last night.

Was in bed by 10.00 last night, not that it did me any good. The old brain box started to whirl and so many things from the passed kept me awake. I got up again at 12.45 am and sat and read till after three. and I was awake again before 7.00 am.

Glad you are feeling a little better Fiona. One step at a time as they say !!!
Ros is off out shopping with Martine. I don't need any Vegetables for the weekend. I will get a joint out of the freezer this morning.

I see that Lewis is fastest at the moment. Lets hope he stays there.

Mel is it unusual for the hogs to feed together ?? I thought they were quite sociable animals !! But I could be wrong.

No set plans for the weekend. Just the two of us and the book or T.V. No wonder I get bored :-D :-D :-D What exciting things are you all up to this weekend.

I know gill has a viewing, what time is that Gill ??

Mandy would you consider the coast today, tomorrow is suppose to be wet again.

All showere3d and shaved, now considering whether to put shorts on and sit around, OR put shirt and trousers on and go to the pub later.. DECISSIONS DECISSIONS

See you later.

Frank Report 25 Jul 2015 10:39

Didn't see you hiding there LIZ, lol

Hope you enjoy your walk with Cassie. It will give her a chance to get used to the smells of the forest. How's she coming along ?? I bet Iain is very proud or her, and likes to show her off <3 <3 <3 <3

Enjoy your coffee outside.

Morning/Evening All

I bet Cassie will love the woods Liz :-D..So many good smells .My dear Chester was in heaven running around and snuffling about in the woods :-D

Fiona ,I'm glad you are feeling much better now .Little spells on the computer is a good idea :-D

Frank, our lovely sunshine is being swallowed up by big clouds at the moment.Hopefully they will blow over and not drop anymore rain.I think we had enough of that yesterday.
Chris has just picked 3 little Cauliflowers and the last of the big peas.James is out for the day and evening so we won't see him until tomorrow.
I'm just off to order this Fridgefreezer now.
I don't know what time Gill's viewing is,but I hope it is all positive and not any time wasters.
Go to the pub and enjoy a pint and some company Frank :-D

Morning all and evening Kim,

Hi to Fiona and glad your feeling better.

I have had terrible trouble getting on the web today and this is the first time I have got here.

Oh has been to the garden center again about the new filter and he has just pulled up outside so I have been home alone up till now.

Must make him a coffee so BB in a min.

Liz Won't you be pleased with Cassie when she picks her first one up?

magpie

magpie Report 25 Jul 2015 12:43

We certainly will Mel! though I think this season she will be kept on a long lead as she will be a complete novice and not old enough to be let loose! It all depends on her progress. At the moment she is 'killing' an old cap, not quite sure that shaking and chewing would go down to well on a shoot!!!
You'll be pleased with your new fridge freezer Jane. We've got a new microwave, it's just a bog standard 800 watt for heating milk, peas etc, nothing fancy this time! Most veg I steam, and quite honestly my last microwave was so complicated (and expensive!) I sometimes couldn't be bothered with all the weighing and timing and goodness knows what!!
I've cleaned a few more windows!! I felt like it!! so that's a good job done!
I hope your viewing goes well Gill, this could well be the one, fingers crossed!!

Jane

Jane Report 25 Jul 2015 14:11

LOL Liz ,she will soon get the hang of it :-D :-D and she will be top dog :-D
Fridgefreezer will be here on Wednesday. Now I have to think what I can do with what frozen food I have in this one as there is no room in the upright.I might ask my Neighbour if she has a bit of space in her chest freezer .She normally does.
My last microwave was one of these more fancy ones and I never did use it properly so the one we have now is a bog standard like yours as I only ever heat things up in it.
I defrost in my oven which I find much better than defrosting in the microwave.
You are putting me to shame now with all this window cleaning :-S

Mel did OH get sorted at the Garden Centre?

I tried to ignore the Miaows outside our bedroom door in the night.James said just shut the door Mum and he will get fed up and go back to sleep somewhere.
HUH! how wrong was he.Thomas only pulled the carpet up from under the runner :-S :-S :-S.

Hannah got us to buy one of these Spiral Veg Cutter things.WELL what a performance. Both Chris and I have had a go and its a disaster.I wonder if there is a knack.Carrots and Courgettes are supposed to come out in ribbons like Spaghetti.
We haven't quite managed that lol. What we have done looks like mush and is going on the compost
:-)

The sun didn't come out again and it is just cloudy now.But hopefully I can get a big wash load dry.It is still in the machine (I forgot it was there
:-S)
Chris is just going to renew all the clips in the frames in the Greenhouse now.I hope no more panes drop out while he is doing it.
Bet Frank is up the Pub :-D

Afternoon all,

What a day yesterday turned out to be , rain started here about mid morning , it was still raining when we went to bed and when i woke about eight this morning it was still coming down , it has stopped now and the suns out so i have hung my washing out , i don't think it will take long to dry as the wind is quite strong here today.

No i don't think it will be a day for the coast tomorrow Frank, i think we should have more rain !!
Go and have a nice drink Frank, will do you good to get out of the bungalow for a while .

Hope Gill's viewing goes well today ,wouldn't it be good if she came on here and said the bungalow was sold ,i bet there's not a speck of dust with all the cleaning and sorting that she has been doing lately, fingers crossed for you Gill :-)

Not to long to wait then Jane for the new fridge freezer ,i like the look of those big fridges with the freezer drawers at the bottom ,i'd love one of those but we don't have room for one of them in the kitchen, we just have a normal fridge in the kitchen and the chest freezer in the shed ,i also have another fridge in the shed as a spare which we mostly us at christmas and for cold drinks this time of year .
As for microwaves i have had mine for years ,i'd like a smaller one really but while this one keeps going it seems silly wasting money on another one , i only use it to heat things ,i never really cook any thing in it , with this one you just put in the weight of the food and it works out how long to cook it for .

I think we are off to the tip soon ,hubby had a good sort out yesterday in the shed and we have garden rubbish to take too .
Hubby has his eyes tested this morning so more expense as he has ordered two pairs of glasses !!
He has Cataracts in both eyes ,but they are nothing to worry about yet .

Jane

Jane Report 25 Jul 2015 15:24

Yes I think rain is due again tomorrow Mandy.Mustn't complain though as we desperatly need it .I'm sure after yesterday though it must have done some good for the gardens.Especially the Veg.
Well I have only just got the washinh out as my brain went elsewhere and i cleaned the shower.Luckily Chris just said "I can't see any washing" !!!!!!.So Shirts and trousers are out and the socks ,pants etc are in the drier.
The only electrical applience we have in the kitchen is the Dishwasher.I would have to lose a cupboard to put fridge in.But luckily we have a room I call the utility (it isn't really)and there I have one fridge, a long dresser with sliding out shelves and drawers and also the Fridgefreezer. Then the upright in the garage. The 3 freezer drawers are handy for just that bit more and like you have your one for Xmas things Mandy it is handy.Trouble is I find I stuff things in and then 12 months later end up throwing unused things like Party Food away.I have a feeling I will have a big bin bag of things I will have to get rid of.It makes me feel guilty as it is a waste.
I've just taken a big Beef Joint out for tomorrow :-D

Afternoon all

All the rain yesterday wasn't it depressing. Today was woken up by the sun but was chilly first thing. Mocha and Millie had a walk this morning then I watched some programmes I had recorded.
Have been sitting in the garden with a cup of tea wine still in fridge after doing more cleaning jobs. Decided to wash the bath mats etc they are on the line but it is clouding over. Now

The house is a bit behind at the moment at my daughters because of all the rain down there and more is expected

Patricia

Patricia Report 25 Jul 2015 15:59

Hope your veiwing goes well Gill. Hubby has been shredding a lot of paperwork today too
On Thursday I'm at my daughters for 5 days dog sitting. I hope some more of the build has been done by then. I'm in limbo can't relax and there is only so much cleaning you can do
Haven't heard anything negative on hours after their morgage surveyor came round.
The sun has popped out may get that glass of wine. Having to swap my dinners round so am having a spicy chicken roast today

Oh is fitting up the new filter. We are having to have it on the decking by the big pond as he wants to run it through the other filter too. He has had the end of the decking off to the rail and put it all back again so he can put the thing that has the special light in it on the other side of the side of the decking. I shall miss that at night as you got two blue shinings from each end of it and it reminded me of a horses face across its eyes looking from the front. I could never get a picture of it because you can only see it at night and then the flash comes on so you don't get the effect but there used to be light going down from where the eys were so it was like the top nose bone and as it falls away was just like a horses face. Hard to explain but Ann will know what I am trying to get at.

I have picked another big bunch of sweet peas which are now on the windowsill and tied them all up before going to the shop before lunch.

Bet Frank has gone for a drink and a chat with a bit of male company. It will do him good to get out for a while.

Guess what I saw down towards Prickle Hollow this morning munching away at the grass? Yes your right a very tiny baby bunny. I had a shot st it later when oh got back but I missed it but it did'nt half jump.

Jane Report 25 Jul 2015 16:55

Pat ,I'm sure once the next few days of rain clear ,things will get moving again on your new place. It must be a bit frustrating though.Bet that wine is nicely chilled by now :-D :-D
Next door is cutting the bit of hedge outside the back of us :-D :-D :-D :-D(The one that always grows over our guttering.I bet he was thinking I would soon be asking him to do it lol.I hope he cuts his side down to match the height Chris cut ours down to.

Mel it sounds quite a palaver doing the new filter for the pond.Shame you won't be able to see the 'blue shinings'.
Our Sweet Peas are really nice right now but they aren't scented :-S.I should pick some .
Chris won't be impressed with dinner tonight. It's Burgers and Chips :-D :-D...I will do mushrooms ,peas, and asparagus aswell .I have Lamb and Beef Burgers. He will turn his nose up at the Lamb ones. :-|

Yes girls, I went to the pub for an hour. Everyone chatted away and it made a nice break. I was very good and stuck to JUST 3 PINTS. I walked home again as Tony wasn't there, and I hadn't taken my phone to ring home.

Have had a few zzzz. So now relaxed and watching NAT GEO. They have some wonderful nature programmes on there.

I see you need some practise Mel. You will have to have a bit of target practise lol

Funny sort of day here, I was quite cold this morning and had to close the pub door when I got down there, a gale seemed to be blowing through.

Oh dear I have forgotten to get a joint out of the freezer. Better go and do that now.

The walk went well.. Cassie absolutely loved the wood and all the smells etc! she behaved fairly (!!) well but we had to give her a bit of licence due to her age and the excitement of the occasion!!
We've been cutting the grass and planting a couple of Buddleias, and are now having a shandy in the garden!
We had one of those veg thingamys Jane with about the same success as you!!!! It's now in a drawer in our feed store!!
We watch the Nat Geo channel quite a lot Frank. As you say they have some lovely wild life progs.

Oh i bet Cassie was so excited to go to the woods , so many new smells for her , i had to smile at the thought of her 'killing' an old cap :-D :-D

My freezer needs a really good sort out ,i need to get things out so i can clean the bottom , i bet there's lots of loose peas, frozen chips and all sorts in the bottom that i drop when i open the bags :-0

Turned quite chilly now the sun has gone ,i had to go and put a cardi on as my arms were cold !!

Well its been a lovely day here today and the sun is still out.

Been in the garden pulling weeds out the tarmac!! and sorting some of my plants on the patio while oh did the filter. He has given up for today. He looks whacked out. It must have been all the upping and downing from the deck to the old filter and fitting the pipe to the new one under the decking, twice as he did it wrong the first time. I had to hold the pipe!!

O those new smells and new things to see in the wood for Cassie. Bet she sleeps well tonight.

Fillet steak for us tonight with the usual mushrooms peas and toms with chips.

Gosh its 5 to 8 I better turn the oven on!! :-0 :-0 :-0

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 25 Jul 2015 22:05

It must be Mandy's fault talking about things in the bottom of her freezer..........

I went to get the chips out and burst a bag of blackcurrants. They are now mostly spread over the whole of the bottom of the freezer. :-( Now I shall have to clear that out.

Morning my little fairies, and evening to my Ausi one,

What a morning. Ros decided to strop the bed and do a whites wash. I told her not to. By the time it was in the machine, it was raining, and continuing to do so. I think it's in for the day.

I have offered to put the washing in the tumble dryer, but she says it creases things to much and makes it difficult to iron. It's too warm to put the heating on, so it will sit on the airier in the conservatory.

Mel what a job that must have been with the filter. I only have a little one !!! and find that a job, emptying and cleaning. By the sound of yours you have a big one !!!

The heavens have just opened up and I mean OPENED !!! Good job you never went to the coast Mandy :-D :-D

Going to finish off reading the paper, then shower and shorts. That will be me for the day/

Have a good 'un
