Happy 25th wedding anniversary Janice and Larry. <3 <3 <3
Done the bl**dy shopping and forgot to get lettuce!!!!!!!!!!! Thats cos I went round a different way today and somehow missed that isle.
Not unpacked yet but thanks for the pics Frank if you look in. Sorry to hear your having problems at the moment. I hope you can soon sort it out and get back with us. We do miss you very much when you are away. <3 <3 <3 <3 <3
I had just gone up the road today setting out when a lorry came the other way and I was right in the side of the road and as he went past at quite a rate he hit my wing mirror. Nothing broken thank goodness. Then a way up the road and nearly in Bideford a tractor came rushing past me in a narrow bit with a great big topper on the bak which I thought was definately going to hit me but once again it did'nt and I breathed a sigh of relief.

Evening all,
We had a nice dry morning here to start off with then the showery rain started about mid afternoon ,at the moment we have sun shine , it's a lot cooler though .
All go then Ann in your close , any news on the builders plans ? Sounds as if OH has a busy time moving furniture and getting the room ready for the bed for MIL. I didn't realise the lady visiting MIL in hospital was the lady who does her shopping you probably did say but i must have missed it .
Oh Frank <3 i hope you can sort out your problems and get back with us soon <3
I see Jane might have a hedge hog ,well i think we have one here too, i keep seeing calling cards from one on the slabs in the morning but we haven't seen it yet !! We had one in the garden a couple of years ago and the droppings left then are exactly the same as now so it's definitely a hog ,it probably scuttles away when we let Toby out and the light comes on .
It must be a bit of a fright to suddenly see Rosie on the window sill Gill , she knows where to come for a meal when she's hungry :-D
Oh dear Mel two near misses :-( that's not good , glad there was no damage done to the car and you !! ,we have a narrow road to drive down when we go for eggs ,some times i almost close my eyes and wait for the bang !! i get as close as i can to the hedge but some drivers just hog all the road .
We had a nice meat pie ( Te*co's )for tea tonight with lots of veg and i'am full to the gills !! :-D

Sorry to hear you are so troubled Frank and I hope you soon feel better. If you don't soon don't hesitate to see the doctor. Lots of <3 <3 <3 and Mel is right, we will miss you. :-)
That sounds great Jane and thanks for offering to book. I've noted my diary and feel quite ready for an 'escape'. Will it be 12.30pm?
Poor OH set his sciatica off this morning with moving stuff about at his mum's house and then when he went to see her she was wittering on again about his dad's hair!!!! She wants OH to get her hairdresser to go to the home as he has it cut every fortnight!! Oh and she reeled off the names of those that he must apologise to for her missing her appointment!! He just made no comment. She's still keen to get home, but it may be because she is getting less happy with the staff. OH said a nurse walked by while he was there today and said why hadn't she got her feet up on a footrest they'd got for her. She'd replied she couldn't lift her legs up so the nurse said 'what's your buzzer for'. She won't have liked that!! It seems crazy to think of discharging her, as today she was worse and couldn't even get in and out of bed on her own. They are seeing if she can wash herself tomorrow so we'll wait and see what happens then. We are getting the bedding for her bed tomorrow, but will leave it all packed up in case she doesn't go home so we could take it back to the shop if needs be. FIL on the other hand is much better today and was having breakfast with his new pal this morning.
It's good you can get on line for a while Fiona, hopefully you will keep improving now. I have looked and found some of the newspaper articles that mention the man who may be your ancestor, even a photo in one of the Arthur White you mention, but there's no detail about him or his background or origins. I think you may need someone like a music hall archivist to find the detail.
No more news on the builder yet Mandy. Still waiting for the independant surveyer to come and measure up to compare with the land registry boundaries. We don't seem to get hogs here any more.....maybe you and Jane have more than one!
Good that you are getting new agents Gill. Hopefully they will get things moving. What a cheeky little squirrel Rosie is!
Oh, I spoke too soon, FIL has had another fall and strangely they say he could not even move a finger for a little while just after it. They are getting the doctor to look at him tomorrow. They say he's been inconsolable during today again, lots more tears thinking about his wife.
Early night for us, we are both tired and who knows what tomorrow will bring!

O dear Ann not another fall. I wonder if he blacks out for a second or two and thats why he falls. The visit to MIL dos'nt seem to have done much good and has brought back memories to him. I hope he has'nt hurt himself.
Poor Gordon starting up his sciatica again. Hope it dos'nt last too long this time with all he has to do.
Signinh out now so night night and see you in the morning.

Morning all
Sorry to hear you are feeling down Frank. Take care
Everyone on here seems to have a lot of things going on around them especially Ann
The stress levels. I have relaxed slightly as they have started the roof We are down there tomorrow so will be able to see what is happening. We will come back Monday then Tuesday we have to take my brother to have another catterat done. He has to be put out. So will be spending Tuesday night here. He has Ms and one of his problems is his memory so we will have to write everything. Down for him regarding the 2 different drops he has to use. He coped with everything ok last time. We managed to get him in sheltered acomadation about 2 years ago After a lot of persuasion.
Our solicitor rang us yesterday. The buyers are waiting for the seaches to come back so everything is on track. If everything goes though. Ok we will then have to tie everything in place with our build.

Morning/Evening All
Ann I think it is a very sensible idea not to open the bedding at the moment .It doesn't sound to me as though MIL should be going home ,especially if she is unable to just put her feet up on a foot rest.I am getting the feeling that if they do send her home it isn't going to work and she will either be back in Hospital or in a Nursing home.I bet the hosptial is wanting her bed!!! I hope that FIL is alright his morning.I remember Mum having lots of falls.I wonder if it is to do with the Vascular Dementia when there might be an interuption of blood supply for a second or 2. I hope 2 that OH has managed to sleep ok last night and that the Sciatica isn't going to be a big problem .He certainly can do without that right now.
Yes I will book lunch for 12.30 :-D
Must get up now and mop the floor by the old F F as it defrosted over night and has left a bit of a swimming pool :-S...I put down a load of newspaper and kitchen paper at 4 am when I let Thomas out.But couldn't be bothered then to clear it.
Morning dear Frank.I hope you had a restful night and are feeling as frsh as a daisy this morning <3 BBL

Afternoon all,
Sunny spells here this morning ,got the bedding all dry ,just the duvet cover to go out now, i must keep an eye out as the black clouds are looming .
Things sound as if they are coming along nicely with the build Pat, it must feel strange to see people buying bits and pieces of yours in the shop though.
Hope FIL is ok after his fall Ann and OH is feeling better today .
Another liquid lunch Jane :-D
Love to Frank <3

Afternoon All,
Yes, the clouds here are all shadess from black to white today. I hope you feel a bit better today Frank.
Good news things are on track Pat. I've never seen things I've handed in to a charity shop for sale......do they pass them to other branches? I hope your brother's cataract operation goes well for him.
I thought the hospital visit might not be a good idea, but that volunteer woman encouraged MIL to have him visit saying it was their right. MIL hates saying no to people and agreed, even though she hadn't made any request for FIL to visit her till then. That didn't leave OH much option really but it certainly hasn't helped things. This morning the home said the doctor was calling soon and that FIL seemed a bit drowsy. Then, while we were out buying the bedding for MIL they rang to say they'd got an ambulance and that the paramedics think he has had a stroke. He's been taken to a city hospital this time so OH has 2 hospital visits this afternoon. We also got a call while we were out to say the care package for MIL is in place for when she's discharged so it looks like she could be going home even though we don't think she'll cope. :-S More worry ahead!
Now my shoulders better I seem to have twisted a muscle in my left side reaching in the cupboards over the bed yesterday!! Poor old crock.......I'm not doing any more today. At least OH's computer is mended ok now, apparently the disc was corrupted.
I'm sorting OH some details now. He is changing his bank for the first time ever and has an appointment on Friday. He's convinced it will all go wrong!!

Afternoon all,
Had no internet all this morning. It came back on just a little while ago.
Frank I hope you are feeling a bit better this morning and had more sleep last night. Sending you all my love <3 <3 <3 <3 and get yourself back on track so we can have our lovely boy back on the thread please.
Jane thats what I was getting at when I said small blackouts for Ann's FIL. I do hope FIL is ok after this other episode and it was'nt a stroke. How is G today and did he sleep well last night. You must both be exhausted. Take care of yourselves please. <3
I saw a young fox in the orchard last night very near the house.
Pat good the roof is finerly going on. Once a place is watertight they can get on with the other things that need doing inside.
The weazther here today is sunshine and cloud with a coldish wind but it is dry at the moment.
I have a sore mouth up on the roof of it today. I had it yesterday too and think I may have had something stuck up the gum on my next tooth to my eye tooth at the top as thats sore too.

<3 <3 <3 <3 to Frank.
Does everyone near you lose their internet as well Mel? It doesn't seem to happen very often round here.......I'd better go and touch some wood!!
OH's sciatica was much better today but he's trying not to aggravate it. He didn't sleep too well last night, woke me when he got up for the toilet at 3.00pm and I didn't go back to sleep at all after that. I heard the birds start singing at 4.00am. We had to be up early as well to go shopping.
I hope your throat soon feels better and doesn't develop into a summer cold. That little fox cub is out quite early, but then maybe not as I think the cubbing season used to start in August. I hope he wasn't fed on your bantam and recognised the smell of them! :-S They are such a nuisance when you have poultry.

I've tried again with the photo Mandy! We had a bit of rain just now but it's stopped again. Sheds are handy for nipping in in the rain. You'd have thought Toby would have wanted to be in the shed as well.
I went up the garden earlier and we have a few tiny beans at last, just a couple of inches long! The tomatoes are doing well but the skins are quite tough.
OH said FIL was much better than he expected and was just a bit slurred talking but has been told he mustn't get out of bed. . He was really pleased to see OH and thought MIL had died so OH was able to reassure him she hadn't. He'd thought he was all alone in the world, poor man. He thinks OH is living at their house and told him to get people in if the cleaning was too much! He wanted to know what had happened with all his belongings so OH told him they were locked up safe in his room. His BP is very high and they had done a scan but OH will have to speak to the hospital tomorrow to find out more and what his treatment will be. He asked OH what had happened, so OH said he wasn't sure and asked him what he thought had happened and he seemed to know about his fall. He said it was quite touching to see his dad thanking everyone profusely for everything they were doing for him and telling him he wasn't to worry about him and to tell MIL the same and that OH must look after himself. He said OH needn't come every day and that he was fine. OH said his caring attitude to everyone else, despite his illness was such a contrast to his mum's.
We are off to bed to watch the doctor prog now. We need to catch up on sleep as OH has to be at his mum's house for 9.00am to wait for the furniture to be collected.

Lovely pic off our Shirl and dos'nt she look well.
I got the pic ok but it was on its side.
Ann I said young fox not a cub. The vixen will usually start preparing an earth in January in preparation for when she gives birth. The cubs are usually born in March and until they are ten - twelve days old the vixen will rarely leave their side and not feed as they can't generate their own heat or have their eyes open.
Signing out now so night night all.
Love to our Frank <3 <3 <3
