Morning all and evening Kim,
A nice sunny morning here too but it was quite cold last night and we still have that chilly breeze.
I don't know where this week has gone as its Thursday already!! I wish the wind would drp a bit and I can then clean out the chickens as when I do their nest boxes it blows in my face getting the shavings out and in!!
Liz that is the trouble with raspberry canes they creep like mad if you kon't keep them under conrol. Do you have any of the autunm fruiting ones that you cut down to the ground each year?

Morning All
Hope you're feeling a bit better today Frank <3
Lovely sunny day today, lets hope it stays that way as I've decided to change the bedding.
Glad to hear the builders have started the roof now Pat, hopefully it won't be long before it's water tight then things should move on a lot smoother no matter what the weather does. Hope your brother's op goes well <3
Sorry to hear about your FIL Ann, he does sound the complete opposite to MIL, thanking everyone for looking after him and making sure your OH is ok too. How is OH's sciatica today.......better I hope? How is your side today with the pulled muscle?
How's the new Fridge Freezer Jane? Hope everything is up and running ok for you. Did James explain the new TV to you, can you work it ok now?
Nice to see you popping in Fiona, hope you are feeling a bit better now.
Hope you can get online ok today Mel, it's not much fun when it goes off is it? How's your mouth today, hope it's feeling a bit better for you, have you tried gargling in salt water that might help? Have you seen the young Fox again today?
It sounds like Toby like the rain yesterday Mandy, he didn't seemed bothered by it with staying outside and not joining you in the shed. We had one of those big downpours the other week, luckily we were indoors I wouldn't of wanted to be out in it....It was like a cloud burst it was that heavy. It's been quite cold here and I even had to put the heating on the other day :-( Who'd of thought it in July?
OH and I have decided to take our bungalow off the market for a while, it's been on the market for over 5 years and we are fed up of it all now and need a break. We will put it back on the market later in the year and have chosen an agent to go with.
The new agent was very good about us having a break and fully understood. I was expecting the hard sell so was pleasantly surprised when they agreed with us. They have done us a good deal on the selling fees too and have agreed to hold that price for us for when we are ready to go back on the market, which was nice of them. I just have to give 14 days notice to our present agents now which we will do on Monday when OH is off work.
I think my washing machine has just finished so I'll get the bedding on the line now BBL

Morning Mel
Glad to hear your mouth is a little better today, maybe you could eat soft things today so it doesn't irritate it
We got a new mower and OH cut the grass yesterday, it's looking much better now. It's started to cloud over a bit here, hope it doesn't rain now I've changed all the bedding.
I've decided to wrap all Michelle's birthday and Christmas presents up today ready for her visit in September. I've bought that much stuff for her so hope she can manage to take it all back LOL. I have tried to keep the presents small and light apart from two which are slightly larger but should be ok as they're not to heavy.
Sandra's still asleep so I will have to wake her up soon so I can wash her bedding and I'm sure she'll want to help wrap up her sister's presents too.
No Rosie, so far today. Oh the sun has come out again, that's good as I have the first load of washing on the line :-D.
Well, I'd better go and route out all the presents and wake Sandra up BBL

Fridgefreezer is working fine :-D.It is much bigger than the old one so I can space things out a bit better now and will be able to see what exactly is in there :-D I'm getting the hang of the TV Gill, but still things to worl out lol
I think taking the house off the market and having a month or two is a good idea Gill. You can do with a bit of a breather now.Enjoy the rest of the summer with no more stress :-D
Mandy Chester quite like the rain too.Just like Toby he would be happy to stand out in it.At least like Toby having a short coat is a lot easier to dry off. Thomas ate nothing yesterday. He was out all night and didn't touch any of the dried food in the Summerhouse. When he eventually turned up this morning he looked very clean and tidy.I wonder if he had found another bed for the night somewhere .
Mel how is the mouth today?Did you find out what caused it to be sore?
We have 2 Buzzards flying over head this morning.I can hear their calls from in here.
Ann I hope FIL had an uneventful night and that his stroke hasn't progressed any further. I wonder how MIL is too today. No doubt she will be wanting to hear from your OH as to what furniture has gone and what he has been doing to her house :-D. I'm convinced that going home is not going to be straightforward Ann.I think there might just be too many challenges for her and also as she is so determined not to change her ways that may be a big stumbling block(not literally I hope).
It has come over all cloudy now and my washing is still in the machine.I forgot to turn it on :-S :-S.I think i will nip out for some Milk and a couple of bits and then by the time I get home it will be finished and ready to hang out (if the rain hasn't appeared)

Morning All,
Sun's shining here and I'm catching up with some washing too. I should have been meeting my sister today but she had to cancel as she has problems with her mobility scooter. I was quite glad as my side/back pain is worse today and I don't think I could pull my handbrake on! I slapped a heat patch on after my shower so will see how that goes. OH rang me from his mum's to say the charity refused to take any of his mum's furniture as it wasn't in good enough condition! Luckily with me being home I was able to look up and find a house clearance company that are going to collect the furniture in the next hour. His mum has no internet and he couldn't see any phone books anywhere at her house. :-S
I walked up the garden to open the greenhouse this morning and nearly trod in a swarm of flying ants! They were everywhere so hopefully will be gone soon now the door is open.
I hope your mouth is better soon Mel. How are your new teeth now? I'm afraid I don't know when a cub becomes a young fox.
Gill I bet your lawn looks really good after using a sharp new mower. I expect you will be glad of a break from house selling as it is quite nerve wracking and the new agent sounds good holding the fees cost for you.
Well I'd better get back to some 'waist height jobs 'so I needn't bend my back! I've done the kitchen worktops so maybe I will clean the kitchen, uti and bathroom sinks carefully next!

Hi there, I thought I would pop in and say THANKS for all your kind words.
I had the best nights sleep last night for ages. I slept from 11.00 pm till 8.00 this morning.
I have been quite industrious. The front lawn hasn't needed cutting . I cut it before I went to Spain 15th June. So this morning I cut it. The back lawn was also needing a trip so I have done that also.
I think I have got my head around what I thought was a problem with my DRINKING I now realize that there is no problem. My drinking is for enjoyment and relaxation. I do not at anytime want or need a drink before 7.00/8.00 pm at night, and three or four cans is not going to do me any harm. I never go to bed DRUNK. My social time spent at the pub, is purely for company, and it is very rare that I have more than THREE PINTS. I do not drink spirits, and only have the odd bottle of RED when Ros treats me.
The reason I have come to this conclusion is that MANY men down the pub, don't think anything of drinking 6/7 even 8 pints in an evening. If I got to that stage, then I think I should be worried.
THAT NOW IS ALL BEHIND ME. It was just something I had to get my head around. ;-) ;-) ;-)
I see things aren't improving on the In-Law front Ann. It must be telling on Gordon and yourself.. I think about you often.
What have you been up to MEL, trying to crack nut with your teggies ??? Have you been back to the dentist to see if there is something stuck in your gum ???
New Television and Fridge Freezer then Young lady. What else is going to go wrong ?? It always happens in threes. :-D :-D :-D I hope it's not new2s of a GRANDCHILD on the way ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)
FIVE YEARS in a very long time for a property to be on the market Gill. Why and how hasn't it sold in that time ???
My old LAB. would stand at the door when it rained so he could go into the garden. Also when I took him across the fields behind Wickstead' s Park (Jane knows where) he would always make a "B" line for the LAKE or the River Ise. When he went in the lake he always came out covered in DIESEL OIL from the boat. I then had to wash him of in FAIREY LIQUID in the back garden. Being a golden lab. his coat would shine after his bath.
Madam is having bher eyes tested this morning "MORE EXPENSE" no doubt. Mine will be next. I am finding that when I reach for something i.e. the spoon in the cup of tea. I miss judge it and knock the cup, before I reach the spoon. Fortunately I haven't knocked over the WHOLE CUP of tea YET !!!
Pat it looks like you are getting the "GREEN LIGHT" with the building. When would you think you will be moving in ??? I hope everything goes to plan.
Mandy it looks like this weekend could be the time to pop to the coast. The forecast looks a lot better for Saturday/Sunday. So you had better make the most of it.
Lovely photo of the OLD 'UN in Canada. How can she lay down like that to have her photo taken ??? and not have her hair fall all over her face :-D :-D :-D :-D <3 <3
Liz, I almost forgot you (not that I would) Thanks for your support, and what a lovely photo of Cassie.
Well I had better get myself Showered and shaved, as I am sure I am beginning to SMELL :-0 :-0 :-0 I CAN'T HAVE THAT.
As I have been a bit of a Bas###d to Ros this last few days, I have ordered her a bouquet which will arrive tomorrow morning. saying "SORRY"

Glad to hear you are feeling more like yourself now Frank, it's nice to see you back on the thread. I'm sure Ros understood but will love the flowers anyway. I'm going to send you a PM
Sorry to hear your mouth is still sore Mel, maybe you could call in at the dentist and get it checked out.
I never got round to wrapping up Michelle's presents, I've bought her so many it's took me this long to go through them all and OH is due in from work soon so having them all over the sofa wouldn't of been a good idea if he wanted to sit down. So I'm going to do them tomorrow as OH is working a 12 hour shift so I'll have all day.
Off to sort out yet more washing now BBL

Well what a mad 15 minutes I've just had OH came in from work saying that it's a member of staffs 70th birthday and they are having a surprise birthday party for her at 3pm, we were suppose to go shopping this afternoon so he said he was busy....Well, I wasn't having any of that and luckily I'd run him a bath so that was ready, so he had a bath while I run around trying to find a suitable present, luckily I have lots of nice pot plants so I got one of those and tidied it up a bit and I always have birthday cards in so found a nice one, then I had to run to the bathroom to ask what the woman's name was and just as I'd finished writing the card out he was out of the bath with 10 minutes to spare to get there. Luckily it only takes him 5 minutes so he should make it on time........Poor Sandra said she never got to see him, but he'll be back in a few hours so I'm sure she'll cope.

I have taken some painkillers and it seems to have eased off now so I am going to go and clean the chickens out.
Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo lvely to see our Frank back with us. Glad you are now sorted. <3 <3 <3

At last our wifi booster is working!! and it certainly makes a difference! I can use my Kindle outside without it dying on me all the time!! Talking of the dentist, OH has an appointment next week which is lucky as one of his crowns is loose and needs re setting! There always seems to be something!! Our dentist is about six miles away which isn't too bad and they're really brilliant and will always do their best to fit you in in an emergency. Mind you the school holidays can sometimes be a bit of a challenge if it becomes a necessity!! Time to get Merlin in and then take our little girl into the field for a run.

Oh Frankie is back!!! :-D :-D <3 <3 Glad you got your head around things Frank and nice move to get Ros a bouquet of flowers as it must be hard for her too. I bet your garden looks nice too now you have your lawns trimmed.
I've been up to my ears in fresh Pension Credit forms for FIL. Not easy to fill in when situations keep changing! Looks like we need more info that will be at their house so we can get that tomorrow while waiting for her bed to be delivered. They've said they can't get care in place for her till after Monday now so she can't be discharged till after then which is a relief. A doctor from the hospital where FIL is rang this afternoon to ask more about his falls. They can't really find what's wrong, but will keep him in for a couple of days and are going to treat him for anxiety with how upset he's been getting. OH is taking him a book of warplane photos when he sees him tonight. :-)
I've sat tidying my jewellery stuff this afternoon. My back feels a bit better and as long as I stand up as if I've got a broomstick down my back it doesn't hurt so much!! lol I've given up on the idea of doing the bedding today as that would finish me off.
Sister finds out on Friday whether her old dog will have to be put down as she keeps falling over and the medication the vet is trying doesn't seem to be working. She's 14 years old now, a sweet and gentle collie cross.
We have a fridge freezer inside and separate freezer in the garage. A spare fridge would be very handy at christmas as the turkey takes up half the space in ours.
Time for a cuppa and ham sandwich now. :-)

Glad to see you back Frank <3 <3 <3...I knew you would be fine .Plus you couldn't bare to away from all your friends for too long :-D :-D I think Ros will be very pleased with the lovely gesture of a bouquet of flowers :-D
Mel if your tooth is throbbing,I hope it isn't an abcess brewing.Don't leave it if it doesn't settle. Gill that was lucky that you had a card and plant for OH to take for the lady.I suppose he won't have to stay too long.Just show his face and wish her a happy birthday.Hopefully he will be back now so Sandra can have a bit of 'Dad Time' :-D
Ann at least you have a bit of breathing space now before MIL goes home.I think the book of War Plane photos is a great idea for OH to take in for FIL. He may be put on some anti depressants to help him .My Mum was on them for quite a while and they did seem to help her. I have booked lunch for you me and Fitz but it is at 1pm .I couldn't get a 12.30 sitting. They should be putting up August menu soon on line.
Oh dear your poor Sister. That is going to be so sad if she has to have her dear dog put to sleep :-( :-(.I bet he has been wonderful company for her all these years.it is what I hate having a pet.Just when that awful time comes. It's just too sad.
Frank there is no chance of Grandchildren for us yet.I would love it,but Hannah is too focused on her Phd and career at the moment .I don't even think there is a nice young man on the scene. As for James and Jess..I can't see Jess with a baby LOL...She would rather have a cat. Taliking of cats.Itook Fitz's Cool Box back to him earlier, and as I was standing in his kitchen who should come in but Podge with a young Moorhen in his chops :-( :-( Thomas has gone off somewhere .Chris said he had'that look' so doors are shut.
I think the pollen count must be high today as I have done nothing but sneeze and I can just feel it.

I've noted the new time and thanks for booking it Jane. ;-) I shall look out for the August menu offerings! So Podge has a taste for Moorhen too then. It sounds like Thomas had a banquet last night and is off on the prowl for another now. :-S Imagine if Podge and Thomas lived at the same house......it would be gruesome finds every day!!! :-0
Yes, my sister's dog went with her when she got divorced so has been a great comfort through difficult times. She will miss her so much I won't be surprised if she gets another after a while.
I bet the lady will appreciate her gift Gill.....that was quick thinking on your behalf!
I told our neighbour last week that the builder had submitted another drawing of turning space on his plans to the council (the building inspector had said he should do this after he came before) but that there were still no measurements shown! The neighbour sent a letter to the planning department about it and it looks like they may have contacted the builder for more detail as he was in the close with his tape measure this morning!!! Still no news about the independent surveyor coming to check measurements against the deeds.

Liz did my email of Shirl's pic get through? It said it was sent.It is a great pic of her :-D
Easy dinner tonight here.Chris has got his Lo Cal dinner fro mWaitro** with lots of veg. James has Pizza, and I will have either scrambled eggs and mushrooms or a one pan dish of eggs, courgette, cherry tomatoes and garlic.I'll decide later.
