I just wanted to say that hopefully MIL might get into a hospice as early as tomorrow. She really can't be left much longer now on her own .It seems like she has been let down so badly Ann in several ways.Even though it was her choice t ogo home I feel dreadfully sorry for her now.If it is just a matter of days or weeks she needs that very special care now. (I can see i have made mistakes typing this ) but can't go back and put right at the moment .I need to go and wash my eye again.

Well, we were just having a quick bite at our Sain*burys when OH got a call from MIL's docs. They hadn't got her into a hospice but an ambulance was coming in the next 2 hours to take her to a palliative ward at the hospital she was discharged from. That was quick!! OH went back to tell her and pack her things and they've collected her now. She said she wouldn't go back there when she came out, but didn't make a fuss. Then he had to cancel the carers, cleaner etc and is on his way back here again. It is a GOD SEND as you say Frank and you can't help but feel sorry for what she is going through as you say Jane. She'll have help from people who have everything at their disposal to do that now thank goodness.
Liz, FIL's POA registration has arrived today so we'll have the authority to deal with things for him now. I think I ask too many awkward questions for people to fob me off!! lol We kept up a pretence with my first MIL who had cancer. She never asked what was wrong so we never told her. Is it a grass field they are ploughing up Liz? I bet the dogs will miss having the space like that to run and run.
Jane, your poor eye, I hope it has calmed down now. What perfume was it?
You're not short of underwear then Frank!! lol. I have plenty of pants after my clearout and must remember not to buy any for ages.

I too feel very sorry for, and about your MIL Ann, but thank goodness she is going into a place that will give her proper care and who will make her final days comfortable and peaceful. Ann I am so sorry for you all, and will be thinking of you. No,it's a stubble field Ann! They combined it, and now they're ploughing it in!

Back again with still the one eye LOL... I think it is wonderful that you Liz and Frank cared so well for your family when it was so needed. The trouble today is that families are mostly not living 'close ' to home and therefore it is just not possible for many people who I'm sure would be happy to help 'nurse' and care for parents in their last days.
Love the socks Frank :-D...I just had this dreadful vision of you in ankle socks ,shorts and shoes.I saw someone just like that today and he looked ridiculous.Probably he thought he looked 'cool'(I don't think so :-S )
If I shut my good eye I can't see the screen with 'perfume' eye. :-S.I'm sure it will clear eventually. It's blooming annoying at the moment.

Just seen your last post Ann I am so glad that now MIL will be getting the right care she needs.Yes that was swift work. The Dr obviously realised the urgency .OH will be able to relax a bit tonight knowing he won't have to go back home in the morning not knowing what he would be faced with.It doesn't sound as though she has too long now.
The perfume was Gucci Gucci !!!!! What a waste :-S
I found a little bird in the lounge this afternoon !!.At first I thought it was a Wren ,but is was a bit bigger with a short tail...It has POOPED down my wall and I can't get it clean. So we need to find the right paint pot and give it a bit of a brush.I managed eventually to cover it with a tea towel after mising it a couple of times and took it outside.I let it go onto one of the branches of the pine and it seemed fine :-D Best get on with sorting dinner now.It has been on hold for now until I can see LOL I thought Chris might have offered to cook :-S :-S....He just keeps asking me if I can see !!!! I smell wonderful .but think the scent is coming off my specs and hair .

What are you like Jane. Can't you manage to spray yourself without getting it in your eye ??? If you start to cry, your tear drops will smell nice :-D :-D
That was very quick Ann, the Doctor must have told them it was URGENT and that's why it was done so soon. I hope you both have a peaceful evening. Try to relax and have a little drinkie poos. ;-) ;-) ;-)
Liz I bet the dogs will miss the field. Will they be able to go on it. when they finish ploughing ???
How did the shopping go Mel, Hope you didn't forget anything today. !!
Where is Gill today. I am sure she hasn't been on, or Mandy. (She's not at the coast again) lol
I put the kettle on to make Ros a COT I put the tea bag and sweetener's in the cup and went in the lounge. When I went back she had put the water in the cup. I got the milk out and put it in the cup. At that moment an old saying came into my head "Two pourers in one cup means GINGER TWINS" Who remembers that saying.
Only an hour of soaps tonight Emmerdale and East Enders. I will then watch Alan Titchmarsh with his Garden Programme. Not much after that so it will be BED AND BOOK then RADIO.
Ros didn't eat all her chicken breast so guess who had that. It was gone in seconds. little piggy !!!
There is suppose to be a Meteor storm tonight. But with all this cloud I think it will be difficult to see. Some of you might be lucky.
If I am late coming on tomorrow. Have a good time you two GIRLS with your lunch appointment. Relax ANN. <3 <3 <3 <3

OOOOoooo I am so pleased for you both that MIL is now back where she will be safe and sound with all the help around she can possibly have. What a lovely relief for Gordon. I bet he will sleep well tonight knowing he has'nt got to go back to MIL's home in the morning. FIL's POA has come through too on the same day so thats something else you don't have to worry about.
You will have a lovely day tomorrow now for sure and can relax a bit and enjoy it. Hope the weather is nice for you all and you have a lovely lunch.
Bopught myself some more of those boxes that fit in the kitchen cupboards today so now I can do the tin cupboard. I wonder how many tins I am going to find that are out of date?? Anyone want to have a guess?????????
Jane make sure you clean as much of the bird poo off as you can as it can come through fresh paint too!! I know because I have done that.

Frank it is looking good here right now for the Meteor Shower,The sky is clearing nicely :-D.I think it supposed to between 1 and 4 am...Knowing you and me with our nights sleep we could well be awake to see something happen :-D :-D I do remember maybe 17 odd years ago I lay out on the lawn in a sun lounger from midnight in my nightie waiting to see the shooting stars. My poor old dog Dodger was very confused !! He sat beside me the whole time. Then I think in the end I just saw a couple of shooting stars. But it was worth it :-D

I often get sprays near my eyes Jane, you just can't be sure where the hole is pointing can you. I'm sure you will be able to read the menu by tomorrow! :-) It's a good job Thomas didn't see the little bird before you did or it might not have had a happy ending.
I need to get a new car tyre pump in the morning. I was done in blowing them up this morning, so got OH to try and finish doing the last one. He was shattered too and decided it was my pump! When he got his own out to use it only took a couple of minutes. I know I can do them at the garage, but I like to have a pump with me anyway as you can sometimes limp to a tyre place with a puncture if you can blow a tyre up a bit..
Not sure I really enjoyed the Partners in Crime with Tommy and Tuppence in the end. It was a bit too far fetched for me. Maybe the next story will be better.
Yes, it's only now we realise what a relief it is Mel. I bet you are looking forward to filling your new boxes so that more things will be easy to get to. Well, let me see......I found 5 things well out of date in just the one cupboard so I'll say 5 things! :-) I didn't finish off that cupboard today as my back's been twanging a bit. I bet it was from using that foot pump this morning. I hope it's better tomorrow or Jane and Fitz will think it's Quasimodo coming to lunch. lol. :-S
I bet she enjoyed her chicken supper Frank. I have never heard that saying before, it's a new one on me.
Ooh I bet I will be awake then too so will have a look outside.

Hope you both enjoy your lunch out tomorrow and that your eye feels better Jane, i haven't had perfume in my eye but i have had hair spray that stings !!
Yes Frank we have been to the coast today :-D been down on the beach with the little ones making sand castles and searching for shells ,they've had pony rides and rides on the fair oh and we went in and had a nice F&C lunch :-D Yesterday we went to Pensthorpe and had a lovely day we fed the ducks they come right round your feet and feed from your hand ,there were lots of other birds and nice gardens to walk round ,a play area for the children with a stream where they could paddle ,this week was Hedge Hog week and the chap had a hog that the children could touch ,so they had a whale of a time . And i forgot my camera !! Tomorrow is a day of rest and Thursday we should be going to High Lodge in Thetford Forest but i see just to park the car costs £11 pound odd !! then you have to pay for each activity !!

Oh you've been out and about a lot Mandy. I bet the F&C were delicious......OH said he's getting some while I'm out tomorrow, but they won't be like seaside ones. I didn't know they still have pony rides, I bet the children loved that and all the other treats. I bet you will need your day of rest to recover before the next trip out. lol It does sound a bit expensive though.
Off to bed now, I feel worn out doing not much! Night night.

3 Quasimodo's tomorrow Ann :-D....I am so stiff with a dicky hip and Fitz is always complaining about his aches .We will make a good trio :-D Now Chris has lost the plot...............he has filled a flask of coffee ,got his camera and is dressed like someone going hunting with padded jacket ,hat and all ready to see any Shooting Stars.I did try and suggest he could actually get a few hours sleep in before anything happens. But No it has fallen on deaf ears and he is now settled in one of the Zero Gravity Sun loungers !!!!!!!!.What a plonk :-S :-S :-S..He just frightened Thomas half to death and cat disappeared .I have just found him shut in the garage. He is now so spooked he has gone behind one of the settees.
Ann I gave up on Partners in Crime.I just couldn't get into it .I just find it a bit too silly and 'weird' to be honest.
Chris is now doing my head in.You would think he was going on some expedition !!! I think I might just lock the back door and keep him out LOL.I can't be doing with it. I might just go to bed and set the alarm for between 1 and 2 and see if there is anything happening skywards.
Looking forward to tomorrow Ann :-D

Morning all and evening Kim,
What a lovely morning we have here today. Sunshine and blel skies with little wispy bits of clouds here and there.
You should have a nice day today Jane and Ann if the weather's the same where you are. Ann hope you had a good nights sleep or at least a better one. Gordon too.
I have the docs this afternoon about my hands. I am finding it a bit of a job to get the two creams on twice a day as I am always washing my hands. Feed the birds and chickens, wash your hands. Go to the loo wash your hands. Go in the garden and shed back in to get lunch , wash your hands and then whilst getting lunch I must wash them three times handling things. Can't put it on when I go to bed because it says not to get one on your face or in your eyes. I sleep with my head or face on my hand so thats out of the question and I can't wear those gloves I bought because they stick to the sheets.
Now my little finger has cracked open on the side in the first crease from the nail so it is now vaseline on that too.

Morning All, Evening Kim,
Beautiful morning here with wall to wall sunshine.
It's OAP day at B & # So I was told to go into the garage to see if we had some Masonry paint for the Garage wall. I had to move some things and a unit collapsed and everything it in a pile. I will have the job of sorting that this morning. YES I HAVE A NEW TIN, so that will be another job. She is buying some Hammeri#e paint for the garage door, so I am going to be busy.
I trust Ann and Gordon had a good night's rest last night. Any news this morning ??
I bet Chris looked like Grandpa from "CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG" going on an expedition It certainly made me smile. Poor old Thomas, I bet he didn't know where to go :-D :-D :-D :-D
I guessed that's where you were yesterday Mandy !!! Glad you had a good day. These park places have you "By the short and curly's" £11.00 just to park then all the other expenses. You won't see much change from £75.00 at least.
Mel you will have so many box's in your cupboards, I hope you will know what's in which one :-D :-D :-D
Still no Gill I see. I hope she hasn't done herself a mischief and can't get on here !!!
Have a lovely lunch today girls, and Ann, get everything off your chest that's bothering you. Jane's got a good ear. I DON'T KNOW ABOUT HER EYE :-D :-D :-D
I will try to get an updated photo of the cat if I can catch her sitting still.

Where mum's old shed was oh built an abour thing and put six slabs down so mums clematis cutting could grow over it. There were two cuttings and oh covered one up but it has shot out towards the back so we had the slabs up and oh made a grove for it to go in filled it with compost and layed the slabs back. It is now up a cane at the back and oh is talking about making a trellis for the back same as the sides so there will be clematis all over it.
I suppose it was £11 to park the car with all the people in it and not charged for by adults and children but I hope the rides ar'nt too expensive for the kids to go on.
It's going to be quiet on here for a whil,e today with Ann and Jane off on a jaunt.
I have the docs at 4pm about my hand so we will see what he has to say later.
Fiona how's your hand?
