Yes, you are responsible for the left hand side of the garden fence, looking from the front of the property. It was very difficult for us as we have four gardens backing on to our left hand side. We decided to put up a SIX FOOT fence down out left hand side to stop and confusion, as the property owners are responsible for the bottom fence of their property. By us doing the fence it cut out any confusion. Likewise we put a fence across the back of the garden. The people who live to our right have put up a new fence, so all is tickery Boo.
Trying to stay up late tonight so I can sleep. !!! I've had FOUR PINTS, so that should help. I just hope my brain box shuts down. :-D :-D :-D
Good night all, sleep tight :-| :-| :-| I hope I do !!!

Morning all. The sun is just coming out now. Alan has gone to get batteries for the smoke alarms. One has justt started beeping
You would think the solicitor could sort out which fence is ours Frank and Jill Both of you state left hand side from the front of property I live in A middle terrace and we all have the right hand side looking onto the front of the house. I have lived here 45 years. The house was built in 1937. Some of the others were added later. The house either side of me has different size bedroom windows. I think they used what materials they had att the time. We have a copy of the deeds the land was purchased in 1923 and all The previous owners we have paper work for. And they can't sort the boundary. Fences lol

Morning Pat, Mel and all, Evening Kim.
No Mel, I was in bed by 11.30 and had my radio on, no reading last night. I could not get off and got up as Ros came to bed. 1.00 am. Read till 3.00 and noticed I had nodded off in the chair ;-) ;-) ;-) Got back to bed and was awake by 6.30 am I just don't know why I can't sleep. I feel like a wet week this morning.
Pat I don't know what you can do. What does the land registry show ?? The solicitor should have all this information in the searches that have been done.
Home alone again this morning, SHOPPING with Martine..
Nice bright morning here with plenty of SUNSHINE.
What are you all up to today ?? I am considering whether to go to the pub to watch the match. Better than sitting here on my own I suppose. Then I can get some sleep this afternoon. I will have to get myself a "NIGHT SHIFT JOB" I might as be earning while I am awake :-D :-D :-D

Mmm fences!!.We ended up replacing some fence panels without even bothering to tell next door even though it was really their resposibility .Chris couldn't stand the thought of the hassle. But the fence in the front is a much bigger job and that is also next doors. It is in a bad state with all the weeds and ivy and the jungle that has been allowed to just grow.It makes our side look a right mess :-S
I am a very happy bunny :-D....finally I have just picked the first lot of RUNNERS :-D :-D
Bathmats from the 2 bathrooms out on the line and I'm just waiting for the bedding to finish in the machine so I get that hung out before I go to Dunel* for a few things.
Frank it sounds like your body has got into a habit of this bad sleeping.I thought you had sleepers? or did you stop them?...I find sometimes when I have had several nights of disturbed sleep I will have a couple of Nytol* and than can help me to get back into the right sleep pattern. I'd go and watch Footie and have a bit of company :-D.....Well I would if I liked footie :-D :-D

Morning all
Sunny here today but cloudy, so expect there's more rain on the way no doubt.
Sorry to hear you're not sleeping very well again Frank. I've just gone through all my clothes and most of them need taking in, especially the jeans so I'm going to take a look online to see if I can find a video on how to do that and make a start today.
I don't know what to say Pat about your boundaries. We have a drive on our left hand side so the fence the drive is on is our responsibility and at the back is a hedge, but the neighbour has someone to cut that, so it just needs tidying up a bit on our side which we do. I have a property built in the 1930's and didn't have any problems when we bought this place so I can't understand why you're having problems.
Have you tried talking with your neighbours, maybe they'll know and might be able to put something in writing for your solicitor as to which fences they are responsible for, that way the fence left over will be your responsibility. Just a thought but it might help and would put your buyer minds at rest, they could then keep the notes off your neighbours should there be any problems in the future as proof of who is responsible for each fence. Without knowing what your property looks like it's difficult to help....sorry :-( But like I said if your neighbours know which fences they are responsible for and put it in writing then all should be ok for the buyers. It's worth a try to ask them. Hope this helps?
Well, I poured myself a cuppa earlier and it's gone cold with me going through my clothes so I'm going to make another one as I haven't had a drink yet today. BBL

Frank, I take something called Quiet Life when I having problems with sleeping. You used to be able to buy them at the Chemist, but now they only seem available on line through Amazon. They're a herbal remedy but I find them very good. Could be psychological of course, but if it works, who cares?!!! Much better day here today, so we are sitting out on the veranda. Bit windy though!!!!!!

Perfect weather for a wedding Mandy :-D.I saw some poor Bride yesterday getting out of the big White Rolls and it was absolutely chucking it down :-(.I dread to think what state the bottom of her gown was like dragging in all the wet and dirt.
How is OH's back? You said the other day he was walking a bit stiff and you thought he might have pulled it.
Gill I wish my clothes needed taking in LOL. Sadly NOT :-S
Liz i haven't heard of Quiet Life.I do think some of these Herbal things are very good. Chris sprays his pillow every night with something and has done for years .He swears by it.I must find out what it is.
I have just spoken to my Sister. She is still very tearful about what happened to Bo yesterday. It sounded horrific.Poor dog had bones poking out through the skin and Will ran with him in his arms to the Vets with blood everywhere.Bo sadly died before the vet could even have a look .Fin and Amelia are doing snorkelling today in the pool at the hotel in Turkey so hopefully they will be able to enjoy the holiday.I think it is a different matter for Rachel and Will at the moment as they are pretty shell shocked and also exhausted from the trauma dealing with the children and the travelling.
Frank are you able to take 2 sleepers?.If you can it might be worth it for just one night ,just to get you off into a real good sleep.Wouldn't it be great to just have a switch to turn the mind off at night.
I wonder how things are with Ann and OH .Nothing from her yesterday.

Well other half and I have been busy today. Sorted another unit out of stuff we don't need anymore. Some has gone to the charity shop where I work and some. To another one a few doors away. We walked the dogs there I will take another lot of books to sainsbu'ys as they have a bookstall there for where I work. We cleaned the unit up and left it at the end of our drive with a note saying free to collector. We saw someone stop and pick it up less than 30 mins later. I have been sorting through a lot of. Photos I hate to throw things away. But I had too . just trimmed some of my Buddlia down. We still have to live here at the moment must keep everything tidy.

Evening all, I went to the pub as planned and watched the match with a few of the locals, and THREE PINTS. Tony bought me home.
Ros had a prawn roll and salad ready for me. I had that and sat down in the chair (need I say more) had a good hour, and felt better for it.
No Jane I am only allowed a half to ONE tablet. I take one every night, but for what ever reason they don't send me off to sleep. In fact last night I was tottering when I got up to read. !!!
Pat you have the right Idea, having a glass of wine in the garden.( Is the wine repeating on you) LOL I think that breeze was a little on the chilly side earlier, haven't been out this evening yet. Might go for a TAKEAWAY later.
It's good that the children are keeping themselves busy Jane, it might help to take their minds off the accident.
Tony told me that other friends and Valerie (Sid's Wife) have gone to the RITZ for afternoon tea. He mentioned a figure of £40.00 a head. That sounds a lot of money for a cucumber sandwich and a cup of tea :-D :-D :-D Plus getting there. !!!. More money than sense. Not for me. !!! even if I could afford it.
Trust everyone is well and have a good weekend.

If your sleepers aren't working ,maybe you could ask the Doc for something different.Might just be worth trying.
Chris is complaining he is hungry :-S :-S...I better get on with dinner :-D

Evening All,
MIL was much the same but more drowsy when OH went yesterday. She seemed to like her nighties. She's been moved from her room into a ward. OH is there now, finding it harder as time goes on as he is running out of things to talk about and there's no sign of her wanting to get her affairs in order. He just rang me to say she is quite muddled (probably the morphine) and wanted to put her shoes on as she thought she was going home!
What a shame about the dog Jane and an awful and shocking start to their holiday for them.
Pat, what a shame your deeds aren't marked with your boundaries (usually a small 'T' facing inwards on the boundaries which you are responsible for). It is the right hand boundary that is ours in our case too, the same as at my previous 2 houses, but I notice it is the left hand boundary for the bungalows opposite us, so it obviously varies!! I know if you put a fence up where it isn't your boundary, you have to make sure it is all on your own land, including the posts. Maybe that's why they want to be sure if they plan to renew fencing. Like Gill says, it will be good when it's all done with.
That's a game cutting the dead stuff from a Honeysuckle Mandy. It's surprising how much dead wood they have, but it will look good again once you have it sorted on on the new trellis. I bet Mel's Clematis will look great on the arbour too now.
I popped to a little art and craft exhibition a few miles away at Lutterworth this afternoon. It was quite good with a real variety of painting styles and subjects and you had to vote for your favourite painting. A lot of ceramic exhibits too including woolly mammoths and wild boars! I overheard a chap saying the wild boars are quite popular now with the interest in Richard 111. lol. I gave those a miss. :-) There was a class of miniature things that was quite interesting too. Someone had modelled tiny hedges into a knot garden.
Gill, I taught myself to make some of my own clothes when I was first married and I got a cheap secondhand sewing machine at first. I used to make pencil skirts too! Also the layered ones that had lace peeping under the hem when they were in fashion and wrap over ones, which were very easy to do and easily adjusted. I made myself a nice denim shirt with top stitching too. This is a site that has free tutorials and free patters you can print and I bet Youtube has tutorials too.
http://www.allfreesewing.com/
I often had to adjust bought things as skirt waistbands used to be too big (not any more!!!) and long sleeves were always too long for me. It's a good idea to adjust some of the clothes you already have. You can also find things in some nice fabrics in charity shops that can be cut up to make smaller things eg curtain fabrics make nice cushion covers and are easy to do to start with. I always pop in to see what's going when I'm passing.

Ann, I think OH could just sit by his Mum now and not worry about having a conversation.Just him being there might just be enough especially if she is getting muddled with her thoughts. It may well be to do with the Morphine but also the fact she is getting weaker.
I am off to bed now .I was going to watch Casualty but I will now see that on Catchup in the morning.I have such a good book on my Kindle at the moment I am desperate to get to the end.It is called Throwaway Children .
See you all again in the morning x
