Evening All
Just a quick one from me this evening.I feel a bit out of sorts today.Just not quite right.Wed did go to the Auction House this morning but the thing Chris was wanting looked tatty and also he thought it wasn't going to be big enough for his paper .We then went and had F&C lunch up at the end of the canal.It was nice to see all the Narrowboats.Lots had dogs on.I would be worried sick they would fall over the side .But I guess some of them are very used to travelling that way and know not to go near the edge.Then after that Chris dropped me off at the nice Butchers in Market Harborough where I got a few things.

This afternoon I did a bit of ironing but thought the shirts didn't smell as fresh as they should after washing...............I was only ironing the ones that hadn't been washed yet !!!! :-S :-S :-S.

I take a 6 shoe .It used to be a 5 but like the rest of me my feet seemed to get bigger too :-| :-|

Hopefully I will be feeling a bit more chatty tomorrow :-D :-D

I never went to the shops in the end. OH decided to have a bath when he got in and by the time he'd finished it was to late, so I will try again on Thursday afternoon when OH gets in from work as he takes me in the car. I haven't driven for over 7 years, after a car accident put me off.

I take size 4 shoes Frank, sometimes 5, depending on the brand of shoe, but mostly 4's.

I think I still have some jazz dance shoes in the loft that are a size 3 but I used to be mostly a size 4 when I was young. Now my feet have got bigger and wider, so it's usually a size 6 now! Size 2s are very dainty Fiona.

Yes I bet your OH was well impressed with you scaring the fox off Mel. I bet he won't let you forget that in a hurry! lol.

MIL much the same today, keeps thinking she can see people that aren't there, then thinks she is at home or has seen things on tv, yet there are no tvs. OH got to speak to someone today and they plan to move her to a nursing home in about a fortnight. There's to be a meeting about it that we can attend.

OH has visited MIL in hospital every day except one day Mel. That is a round trip of 28 miles on busy roads every day, so the afternoon is gone by the time he's done that. It would be too much to do the 18 mile trip to see his dad every day as well as we are still having errands to do for them both and keep an eye on the house and collect their post. (another 28 miles there and back) All in different directions. I think it's helping FIL to settle better without us there all the time too. We are popping to see him this week.

Hope you soon feel better Jane. I feel a bit off tonight too and keep yawning so an early night is on the cards.

Yesterday we cleared some more cupboards out. I did witlle them down some time ago a lot of stuff em to the tip and doe to the charity shop I have books. For the hospice Book stall in sainsbur..

So you're in your OH's bad books then Mel? After trying to get a good shot at the Fox for so long, you go and frighten him off. Let's hope he gets a chance another day. How is your OH getting on with your pond? Your fish sound really big, I assume it's a big pond and it's not going to be a small job to do?

I didn't know other people, besides Ann, liked Beading, otherwise I would of put the link on here earlier. Hope everyone likes it and finds lots of interesting and useful things on there :-D

It sounds like your MIL is getting worse now Ann. At least she'll be settled soon in the nursing home, where she can be looked after day and night. That's an awful lot of travelling for your OH. Do you know which nursing home MIL will be going to, is it closer to your place? That would make life a bit easier and free up some time for you both to spend together <3 Hope you get a good nights sleep and feel a bit better tomorrow :-)

Sorry Pat didn't see your post there, I'm pleased the roof has been started. I bet that's a relief? Let's hope the weather is kind to you all and the roof can be completed and water tight quickly, then everything else can move along smoothly :-)

How are you getting on with the fence situation at your place? Hope everything has been sorted now. Did you have a word with your neighbours to see if they could shed any light on the situation?

Gill we haven't heard anymore from the solicotors but the neighbours haven't any thing in writing on the fences either

Maybe you could let your solicitor know it's never been an issue with you or your neighbours. I'm sure the buyers won't pull out, especially if they really want it. Hopefully if your solicitor lets their solicitor know that no one knows who responsible for what because it's never been a problem, it might put their minds at rest and stop any delays on your sale. Hope all goes well for you. At least the roof has started on your new place, so that's a positive to draw on <3

Went out with Tony tonight to our other pub. Beer there is only £2.04 a pint on Mondays with our "GREEN CARD" a sort of membership. The local had an open "MIKE" evening. Where anyone can come and sing or play a musical instrument. Not my THING, plus they don't have the football on. !!! Tony tells me these people aren't even locals !!!

Off to see if I can sleep tonight. I'm getting fed up to the teeth with this. :-( :-( :-(

Morning all

Another sunny day here so far today

I'm like you Frank I didn't sleep very well last night and have been awake since 5.30 this morning. OH got up for work not long after that, so I changed the bedding and I've done 2 loads of washing already, plus I've sorted out the greenhouse and cleaned the kitchen all before 7.30am :-D I did the hovering yesterday so there's no more housework to do today ;-)

I was busy on the internet last night so missed parts of my soaps, luckily I recorded them so I'm going to watch them now while Sandra's still asleep, then I'm going to get all my dresses out of my wardrobe and start making them a bit smaller. I didn't get a chance to go to the shop yesterday and while I was lying awake this morning I remembered some dresses I bought years ago that I've never worn, so I might as well alter them and then I can wear them now. It'll save me some money at the shops too ;-)

Sorry to hear the pub wasn't your thing Frank, the beer was a good price though. Do they have open Mike night every Monday? If they don't maybe you could go again another Monday, even if it's just for the cheap beer LOL. I hope you got a better nights sleep last night, there's nothing worse is there?

Hoover man is coming about 11am so I must get ready. He said the hoover worked perfectly well at his house so it must be us!!

Slept quite well last night, woke at 4.00 for the toilet. Went straight off again. Ros was up at 8.00 and I turned over until 9.30 Now feel a bit fussy headed. (TOO MUCH SLEEP) :-D :-D :-D

Home alone again today. Shopping with Caroline. Tomorrow her car is booked in for a service 10.30 in the next village next door to where I lived. Tony will collect Ros and take her back when it's ready.

Oh Mel, you will be in OH's bad books scaring off that fox !!! There will be another time I am sure. ;-) ;-) ;-)

I have made a note of that web page Gill. Ros can have a look at her leisure. Dress alterations are in full swing I see. Don't make them too small will you. ???

It will take a lot off Gordon's shoulders Ann, when MIL goes into a nursing home. He won't have to worry if she is being looked after properly. As for FIL if he is happy for Gordon not to go every day, that has got to be a bonus. What a lot of miles he's putting on the car. !!!

Cat's having a charge around, so better go and see if she has done any damage.

Just thought our kitchen windowsills have EVEVEN ORCHIDS on them. All different shapes and colours. She bought another back yesterday and said "Look at that lovely face" I thinks she's loosing the plot !!!!

Bit of a funny old day .Cloud and just cloud with what is now looking like light rain.So no washing going out today.I have just had to strip our bed a there is a big hole in the sheet where my feet go :-S :-S...Must be my rough skin lol.I haven't had the sheet long either and paid quite a bit for it.

Hannah is back on Friday so have stripped that bed too .(It was covered in black cat hair ) Don't think Madam would be to impressed with that .Thomas actually slept on our bed again last night.I thought Chris might have booted him off but he was asleep and didn't realise the cat was there :-D.

I am feeling a bit peckish now so think it is time for lunch.
We had a load of Starlings descend on the lawn this morning .They were feeding on something in a frenzy.Some ants or bugs I guess.Then also on the lawn was the Green Woodpecker.I though it would have been frightened off by all the birds ,but no it just stayed where it was and continued pecking in the lawn :-D

Dreary day here ,it's been raining all morning so send some of your sun here Gill and Mel .

Hubby's been rained off today ,he wanted an appointment to see the doctor as he's getting up so may times for the loo in the night , he got an appointment for the 30th September !! would you believe his doc has started his holiday today and Sept is the first appointment he has ,he could probably get one with another doc but he likes this one so decided to wait .
Then we went to get eggs from the farm and then onto Te*co's to shop ,called to see son as he's rained off too ,Chelsea has to have her tooth out this Friday so they were all teasing her ,telling her they tied string to her tooth and tied the string to the door handle to pull it out :-( :-D
She's not that bothered ,she's the tough one of the lot ,if she hurts her self she won't give in to it she brushes her self down and gets on with it .

You were an early bird this morning Gill ,i expect your busy sewing away now , good idea to try and alter the dresses you already have in the wardrobe ,it will save you a bit of money .

Glad you manged to get a good nights sleep at last Frank, you must feel all the better for it today .
I like Orchards i have three plants but they have finished flowering now and they look quite bare now with no flowers .

Well that's a devil about the Hoover Mel, what will you do now ? does that mean you won't be able to do any hoovering again :-D :-D :-D

Ann, hope the nursing home they move MIL to is nearer to you so it would mean less driving for OH ,that's a lot of miles he's been doing ,and in all directions too .

Fancy putting a hole in the sheet :-D now years ago our mothers would have patched the sheet or made pillow cases from it :-D

Still raining !! at least i won't have to water tonight and all this rain will bring the runners on .
