Frank, I can't imagine going shopping so often, you must get a bit fed up with being home alone so much? I know I'd be very unpopular!! Once a week is more than enough, and then half the time it's only as far as the village shop!! Had a busy family weekend which helped to cope with the awful weather. Today it's sunny and fairly warm, so Cas and I are outside pottering about while OH doing some weedkilling and cleaning the floor in Merlin's stable ready for the winter. Tomorrow we're off out for the day to visit a archaeological site near Old Sarum, just hope it's a fine day!

Fancy the doctors not ringing you Fiona, there's a bit of difference between 6 weeks and 6 months so they must of noticed long before you got there. Good job Frank took you in the car, it sounds a bit of a walk and uphill too.
So you're off to an archaeological site tomorrow Liz. Hope the weather is nice for you. It sounds like you had a good time with your family over the bank holiday weekend. Pity about the weather you had though.
The sun has come out here again so it made it easier for me to finish the filling, when I could see what I was doing. I'm just going to grab something to eat and have a cuppa then the filler should be dry enough for me to emulsion over it a couple of times before OH gets in from work later.
I think the whole ceiling will need a proper coat of paint anyway as it was a bit patchy this morning when I checked. The nights are drawing in now so OH was painting by artificial light and had missed a few bits here and there. At least it will be finished tonight so I can move the furniture from the living room into there tomorrow while OH is at work.
OH can help me with the welsh dresser and electric fire as they are far to heavy for Sandra and I to move on our own, but that won't take to long for OH and I to do tomorrow evening when he gets in from work. My neck is a bit sore now and my back is playing up again, I think I've pulled a muscle moving all the furniture the other day. I'll be glad when the ceiling is finished

Hav'nt read all the post yet but Frank said not trouble like last time. Wellllllllllll I have to have 7 teeth out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! all at once :-( :-| :-( :-| :-( :-|
The good news is the washing machine turned up 5 minuets after I had gone to the dentist. When I parked the car and bought my ticket I forgot to lock the car up!! Only realized on the way back to the car. I had put parking in for two hours to e on the safe side as it is only £1.20 so I went down the raod a bit and had a little look in some shops. I got a nice tea towel three lovely cards and an owl nail file for Di for a little stocking filler all for £12. The teatowel is great, it has ducks, owls, foxes, badgers and hares on it O and conkers, leaves, acorns, berries and feathers and has a border in pale green with white leaves of different kinds, acorns, and sycamore keys. Nice to put over our salads on the table at lunchtime. They had bags with three scruffy owlets on and the hare really comicle pics and I love it.
this is the website.

Its the Portmeirion Group and the Wrendale pattern.
Suns shining a treat here.
We keep getting a regular suply of wasps in the kitchen. I swot about 4 a day and oh said he has had five in this morning whilst I was out.

Nearly there then Gill and you can get another room straight again, clean and tidy and freshened up.
Forgot to say oh also painted the back wall where the machine went in and we put string through the hole where the outflow pipe and water pipe goes. The boys were pleased with that as they said sometimes they have to go through four cupbards to put the pipes on and the people have taken out the old washers and just pulled everything through and they have had a real long job to get the machines installed.
I have just put a load of washing in for the first time and it has just about finished. It has a 20 min wash on it so I thought it has time on the line to dry in the sunshine.

OH poor you Mel, SEVEN OUT in one go !!!! O I would be doing a bit if it was me. I have only ever had one out at a time. Will they put you under ?? I nearly said DOWN :-( :-( :-( :-( :-D :-D :-D
Had some good little bargains there, I thought you were going to say that when you got back to the car, you had a parking ticket. Have you tried your new W/M yet ??
Touch wood we haven't seen any wasps to speak of, just the odd one, which is quickly disposed of !!! I think it must be a bad year for them round here. I hope I haven't spoke to soon. lol
Earlier I had the door open in the conservatory, which we haven't been able to do with the cat here, and blow me we had such a heavy shower on the back of the bungalow, that the rain soaked the mat before I could get the door closed. Now we have sunshine again.
Fiona, that was not good having to go back to the nurse for a further blood test, when you didn't need it, and they got the timing wrong. Did you have words ??
I have to go the the nurse Thursday for my injection and MOT then onto see the nice new doctor for a further chat !!!
Liz, It's not so much shopping they go out fore, but Carolyn goes to all her different banks most weeks and moves money around. I do that. I take the coins in my pocket and transfer them to the other pocket :-D :-D :-D :-D T hen they go round Debenha#s that's where Carolyn buys all her cloths, then to the Garden Center to pick up any bargains, and have lunch. They finish up at Tesc# to pick up the odds and ends. I quite like the ME TIME. I got my lunch of seafood cocktail in a sandwich with shell on prawns on the side, with a nice cup of coffee. So I was happy as Larry.
Lasagne and salad for tea/dinner tonight. So not a lot of cleaning up. After that sandwich I am not hungry. Will eat about 7.00 pm.
All the paining is coming along then Gill. Do you use a roller or a brush ?? For the ceiling I always used a brush, but now a roller. It's much quicker provided you cover everything up to catch the splashes !!!!
Where's our Mandy and Jane then ??

Gosh Mel, you've got your OH trained well, what's your secret? LOL. Sorry to hear you have to have 7 teeth out, can't they do them a few at a time? How are you going to eat otherwise? I wish I had a 20 minute cycle on my washing machine, the quickest one is just over an hour and with all the washing I have it takes me all day to get through it all :-(
So you're busy sorting out and packing now Pat? Not long to go before your move then? Pity your place won't be finished by the 19th, at least you can stay at your daughters until it is finished. Have the builders give you a completion date yet? Hope it's not going to be to long for you.
Thanks Fiona for the pics of your decking, it's very nice, especially with all the trellis around the sides. I love your table and chairs.
I use a brush for the painting Frank. I've just finished the second coat over all the filler I put on this morning, so hopefully it'll all be dry and ready for OH to do the final coat on the whole ceiling when he gets in later, then it'll be dry for tomorrow so Sandra and I can clean the room and put the living room furniture in there while OH is in work then the living room will be ready for OH to start on Thursday when he has a day off work.
Hopefully the living room will only take one day to do, then Sandra and I will empty her room ready to take the wallpaper off the ceiling in there. That'll be the last room with wallpapered ceilings. The bathroom and kitchen OH can do next week as they are only small rooms and should both be done in a day. Michelle arrives a week on Wednesday so all being well the decorating should all be done and everywhere straight by the time she gets here.
I've made a beef casserole so I'm just going to dish up now. I didn't get anything to eat in the end and I'm really hungry now.

I'm here Frank :-D.haven't felt like much today,I just feel a bit off.I had a bad night with getting up for the loo a couple of times.I think it was the sauce I made last night. It had so much onion in and onions can play havoc with my tum :-S The Chicken I did was so good I will be sure to do that again, but not the sauce .
Crumbs Mel 7 teeth !!!.They may come out easily if they are becoming loose.I don't thin kthey put you out today at the Dentist.I'm not sure they are allowed to .I have a feeling they can give you something to help you relax though. You will be finding all sorts to go in your new machine now :-D.
Oh Pat not long to go now then.It is a shame you can't move straight in though.Hopefully it won't take too much longer once you are with your Daughter.
Thomas brought a mouse in the kitchen earlier.Poor thing was almost dead and was twitching :-(.So I just picked it up by the tail and put it outside for Thomas to eat.He then had the bl**** cheek to come in loooking for food !!!!
We have Lasagne tonight too Frank..I made a right mess of it as I started the layers and then realised I hadn't put the white creamy sauce in between :-S.So I dismantled it and redid it.What a mess I got myself in lol.I have Garlic Bread if anyone wants and then lots of green beans :-D..I think we might be coming to the end of them now. They have been brilliant this year.
Chris had done the Checking in thing for our flight today. He has never done that before and it took him ages. But all done now(hopefully right :-D) I know you do that Frank.Do you find it easy?
Tomorrow we are going to Fitz for lunch :-D.I think he thought it was time we went down there as he is often here to eat.Not sure it will be warm enough to sit out.It would be great if we can.
Fiona ,how daft they didn't ring you from the surgery.Unless of course the Nurse hadn't spotted the mistake before you got there. That is good though that are good to go for another 6months :-D
James is a bit late tonight.I think he has popped in to see Johnny's Mum.So I haven't put the Lasagne in just yet.It just 30 mins so won't take long.

Sorry to hear you're not very well Jane. Maybe you're right you should leave the sauce next time and just stick to the chicken. Hope you feel better soon.
Fancy forgetting the creamy sauce in the lasagne. Mind you it's easily done :-S So Thomas is still hunting then, bringing the mouse into the kitchen. He'll never change will he? :-D

Well I am staggered to see that stupid Emmerdale with Eric driving away in the hearse with his wife in it. (WHO WRITES THIS RUBBISH) I just can't sit through it. Then there's E. Enders. No hope for me. The programme's I decided to record last night, to watch when Ros is out CLASH with what she is watching tonight, So I will watch them on CATCH UP instead.
Jane you could have minced the mouse to go in the mince for the Lasagne tonight !! would have made it go further. and Thomas might have liked a bit :-D :-D
Pat you are surely having a sort out. Gawd knows what we would have to get rid of if we moved. It frightens me just to think about it.
I am getting use to the keyboard a bit better now. But still have to go from page one to get on the thread. I can't find a way to print from it either.
Once you have the tickets Jane, it's easy to book in for your flight. But I didn't know you could do it as early as two weeks before your flight. I told you that sauce sounded a bit too much. But you didn't listen DID YOU ????
There's no reason you cant sit out at Fitz's, if you don't mind the wind and rain :-D :-D :-D
I am buying a painting from Tony for Ros's Birthday. He showed her two he was doing and she liked one, so I said to Tony, get it finished and framed for the 18th. So that's the present sorted, I must go to Tesc# with her soon to get a card.
Going to read a bit more of "ROOTS" and have a beer.
See you in the morning

Oh found the leak in the pond this afternoon just after I posted about my teeth. There are 5 tiny holes all in a line down one of the seems in the liner. Oh rang for a new liner in Firestone which is a rubber one and it came to £700 but when he told them about the holes the girl looked up our order and the holed liner he had taken out a 30 year warrenty on so they took the price of the old liner off the new one so now it is £465 or something like that.
Be carefull with that living room furniture tomorrow Gill and Sandra.
Oh changed my pc to windows 10 this afternoon so I am getting used to it slowly.
Night night.

Morning all
Oh my goodness you should see my back garden, it's flooded right up to the kitchen door, it's absolutely pouring with rain and it doesn't look like it's going to stop :-( :-( :-( :-( :-(. I just hope the drains can cope with it all. Good job we had them done isn't it? It's so dark in here I've had to put some lights on. It's a good job there isn't any painting to do today I wouldn't of been able to see properly to do it. The dining room is now finished, so Sandra and I are moving the living room furniture into the dining room today ready for OH to paint the living room tomorrow. We'll be careful Mel.
That was good that you had some money taken off the new pond liner Mel. When is it arriving? Hope you don't end up with weather like we're got right now so your OH can get it up and running and the fish back in.
What do you think of windows 10? I've been thinking of going over to it myself, but heard that it's going to be on a subscription basis. I think it's free at the moment though. I'll need to look into it further to find out more about the costs involved if it's going to be on subscription as apparently you can't go back to windows 7 (that's the one I've got) after you've moved to windows 10.
Going to get a cuppa now, then make a start on cleaning the dining room and removing all the dust sheets ready to put the furniture in there.

Lovely sunny morning here, so hopefully our day will be dry!! Frank, you now see why soaps are a complete No, No, in this house!! We'd both rather sit in silence that have to watch such complete drivel. Neither of us can stand anything like that, so luckily it's not an issue. Did you watch Wild India? It was fantastic, and the photography was wonderful. Like you, we watch a lot of Eden, Geographic and History channels, thank goodness for Sky!!! Must go and walk our baby, and prepare for the off!!

Glad to hear the weather is good for your trip out today Liz, have a great time, can't wait to hear all about it later.
Sandra and I watch the soaps but sometimes it can get a bit far fetched. Other times they have it just right and it's a good way of showing people different things that actually happen in real life. They put up helplines at the end of the soaps sometimes for people who have been in similar situations and I feel that it does help people in that respect.
Well, the dust sheets are up so I'm going to hoover in the dining room now and put the curtains back up, then start moving the living room furniture in there. I'm hoping if I can get the living room ready for decorating I can make a start on the gloss painting to help OH so he hasn't got so much to do tomorrow, but it depends on how much time I have once everything else is done.
Luckily there's no washing to do today and I've still got some beef casserole left over from yesterday so no cooking either, which has given me the whole day free to get on with sorting out the two rooms.
Well, I'd better get on with it BBL <3

Morning all and evening Kim,
We have sunshine here too Liz, sorry Gill to hear you hae wter up to the back door. If you can't get in the garden it will make you get on with the next rooms decorating.
I am one who can't stand the soaps, all that hollerin and shouting at each other, the arguements and stupid situations they get their selves into. They can keep it as far as I'm concerned.
Well shopping day today so no rest for the wicked...as they say. Don't know what time I will go yet as I got up at 10.25am and hav'nt woken up yet. :-S

Liz I have a feeling I might have been to that site .Is it the Villa with the mosaic floor ,the underfloor heating system etc? It was years ago I went.So interesting..I must look it up and see if it is the same place.
Mel hopefully the new rubber lining will be hole free and can be fitted easily.Good to get money knocked off,but still a lot of EXPENSE :-D
I better go and dig out my cardigan now..BBL

Morning my lovelies, evening Kim,
I was in bed by 10.00 pm had local radio on for a while and settled down. Slept till 6.00 then dropped of again till 9.30 am
Not a bad morning here, cloudy, but not a bit of movement on the trees. if the . lawn is dry enough I might get the back one done today.
Ros ISN'T GOING OUT TODAY She decided there is nothing we need . So is going to do some jewellery and patchwork.
She has prepared dinner for tonight. Leek pie, mash and runners. So I have another day off.
I am having a sneezing bout !! I have just sneezed 30 times and don't think I am finished yet :-( :-( It's horrible my head is swimming now, and my nose won't stop running.

You should run after your nose Frank you'll look funny without it LOL :-D :-D. Hope it stops running soon. At least you don't have to cook today, so that's a change for you.
Glad to hear the weather is dry for you Jane, I know you and Fitz wanted to sit outside. Hope it's not to cold and you both have a nice time.
It's still raining here but isn't as heavy as before so the water is slowly starting to drain away. I think I may have a leak in the roof. I could hear, what sounded like, a drip on the loft opening, shall have to get OH to check it tomorrow to see if it's wet in the loft, if it is then we'll have to get a roofer in.....MORE EXPENSE :-( I just hope it doesn't come through the ceiling as it's in the dining room we've just decorated.
I'm having a bit of a break from moving furniture, there is so much to do I doubt I'll have the time to start the gloss painting for OH today. I'll be lucky if everything is where it should be by the time he gets in from work. I'll keep plodding on and see how far I get.
Sandra is waiting patiently to help me, but it's just the small stuff at the moment so I can manage that on my own. I told her to keep her strength for the heavier stuff later when I've finished moving all the ornaments and small furniture out of the way.
I'm enjoying a nice sit down and a cuppa now, then I'll get back to it. It's taking longer than I thought it would and my neck is hurting from yesterday, but it has to be done ready for OH to paint tomorrow before he's back in work on Friday morning. Luckily he's off Friday afternoon so he can help me put the heavier furniture back then.
Going to drink my cuppa before it goes cold BBL
