I see you are making up for lost time Frank!! <3 I hope that graze isn't too sore! Last night I decided I fancied a pizza as a treat and which I don't often have. For once it was nicely browned to perfection and, as I walked out of the kitchen with it, my arm caught the door frame, the plate shot out of my hand smashing to smithereens on the floor whilst the pizza shot forward off the plate landing upside down on the rug under the dining table!! :-S Cheese and tomatoes on toast after was a bit of a let down. :-S

O dear what a mess and a let down with the cheese on toast. I do pizza toast soemtimes for lunch. I toast some bread one side and dry out the other side a bit then put tom puree on in a good thick layer some nice grated chedder on top of that and sprinkle on some dried basil. You should try it its lovely. You can also add meats of different kinds or sliced olives and all a lot cheaper than a bought pizza.

Good idea to post lots of little posts Frank. Keep it up. Hope the graze is'nt too sore today.

I have cut all the leaves off my tom plants this morning hoping a few more may rippen. The cue, or one of them has given up the ghost so thats been cut right back. they did'nt like the cold wind and lashing rain we had a week or two back. My beans are still producing just about. I have a load in the fridge and another lot ready to pick today or tomorrow.

Back lawn all done and edges of both trimmed. To say I am Knackered is an under statement. Just stripped off to u/pants ready to go in the shower and get shaves and dressed.

Cold pork chips and corn on the cob tonight.( not from the garden Liz) I have never tried to grow it. !!

Next door has their Window Cleaner there, I have know him all his life, and as he got older the more he talked. He collard me as I went to empty the mower box. I tried to get away, then I heard a voice I looked round and he was up the ladder at ther back of the house and started chatting again. Finally I just plugged the mower in and carried on. Had I not I would still be out there. Lovely bloke in SMALL DOSES :-D :-D :-D

Ann, I don't think it's the case of Copy and Paste. IT just disappears off the screen. It's gone in a flash !!! It must have been nice to see all the old wartime planes going over. It certainly would have bought back memories to a lot of people.

ut all the leaves back on the toms a few weeks ago. The toms have rippened so quickly, we have supplied about 6 neighbours so far, with still more to come. No luck at all with the Cues this year, I am also still picking Runners. Not for long now me thinks :-D :-D :-D

Ros came in the bedroom this morning with her Phone and took a photo of Lewis and I laying in bed together. He will try to load it on the laptop later. If it's O K I will send it on.

Goodness I didn't realise the time, I had better get my skates on and get showered. !!!

No, there aren't any roses round the door Frank, but it is very pretty. Son has commandeered a very kind lady and her husband in the village to clean his cottage once a week and do the garden! Now he's going to be there more it will undoubtedly need it, housework not being his strong point!! His washing he will take down to partner for her to do at the weekends!!! Well, so long as it doesn't come here!!! I think he knows that would fall on very deaf ears!!
Beautiful day here, all the weedkilling has been completed, so I'm heading for the garden and some sun!!!

I did'nt know Lewis was staying with you Frank!! Get him to show you how to cpy and paste again and make sure you can do it this time. If you type a few lines and copy it then afew more and copy it again, if you lose it you can just put the curser on the reply box right click the mouse and choose paste and it will put all the post you have written and copied before you lost it back in the add post box.

So now I can put that post I just made in the box again and again.

Might just head for the garden myself, up the border. Keep myself busy as I am still being good. Must wash up first though from lunch as I don't want to come back in to that staring me in the face.

I can hear oh washing blocks with the pressure washer.............

Lewis has shown me so many things this afternoon, I will never remember them all. When I opened this screen, the cursor was right at the bottom of the box.

He found the photo's and showed me how to send them, I hope they came through O.K.

Mel, He has shown me a few times today, so I hope I can do it now. Just tried it and can't get the copy bit up. I will get him toshow me again.

Liz, Your son is lucky to have someone to look after his garden and cottage. I bet his girlfriend loves to do his washing NOT. Ros use to go over to Conrad when he lived alone and do his housework and washing and ironing. I must admit he paid her a few quid towards her costs and he would bring her lunch in when he came home when she was there.

We won't be going to the local tonight as they have an "OPEN MIKE" tonight, so we will go to the other pub where the beer is £2.04 a pint. So win win all round.

Afternoon All
I have had a bit of a cleaning day today and then went and bought a pair of shoes that I hope will not let the water in as it looks like we might be having a fair bit of rian on holiday :-( :-( :-(..Im hoping the forecast will change .It surely can't be wet for the full 10 /11 days :-S Yes Ann we fly on Monday.

Oh what a shame about the Pizza AND YOUR RUG !!!.I hope it hasn't left any stains.
You had a smashing day for visiting those gardens yesterday.

William .Thomas the cat is such a hunter.I don't know if you knew that he just arrived here out of the blue back at the end of May.We think he had been living rough for quite some time .WE have had some rather gruesome thingd brought in.But touch wood we haven't had anymore headless Rabbits for a long while now.Not even a whole one.But he does love to eat mice.I had had him Micro chipped and vaccinated now as I have found no owners for him.

LOL Gill Vodka and the ladder.I did have a chuckle.

Frank I hadn't realised Lewis was staying either. How long is he there for?
Hannah often climbs in bed with me and we just lie and have a bit of a natter.I'd love to see your pic of the both of you(as long as you are decent ;-) )

I am just roasting some Beetroot that Chris has pulled up.

Liz,good job your Son will be having his washing done elsewhere :-D..There will be a fair bit I would imagine.I know just how much I have with James.Chris isn't so bad now that he isn't working.James does put his washing in and gets it going before he goes to work .But then I do the rest.I do get annoyed though with socks that are bunched up and shirt sleeves not unrolled :-S :-S

Best go and check this Beetroot.

Son's partner doesn't mind doing his washing Frank. They've been together for years now, and she's more than happy to look after him. The just need to get these properties sorted then they'll settle down together under one roof. I haven't washed for either of them or anything else come to that since 1992! when they'd both left home. I had a long chat with son this morning and he did make me laugh about their move It sounded a bit chaotic, what with animals and heaven knows what else, but at least they've got there!
Fantastic evening here, so we're sitting out with a beer and it's grand!!
We grow corn on the cob every year Frank, it's really easy, and boy are they good, so much nicer than shop ones.

Annx Report 7 Sep 2015 20:27

I'll be able to tell better if there are any stains on the rug when I hoover under the table tomorrow Jane. It's tricky to see as my rugs are.........a sort of raspberry/tomato sauce colour!! lol. Mel I did sprinkle dried basil on the cheese and tomato as I was trying to fake the pizza!! I might try the tomato puree idea another time.

The thatched cottage does sound pretty Liz.. OH and I ran 2 houses that were 16 miles apart for 10 years before we moved in together. I never did his washing though as I didn't see any problem with him doing his own like I had to do mine and still find time to do everything else!! I worked with a single chap in his 50s once who's 90 year old mother used to walk to clean his house and cook his dinner every day!! Ye gods!!

Frank your garden looks a treat and the lawn looks fantastic. I like the Owl. :-)

We are going to watch Lady C we recorded now......I see some of the writeups aren't good.

Still hav'nt had a ciggy............................. and don't know what to do with myself while I watch the box as thats when I used to make them.

Keep at it Frank just do it on anything and you'll soon get the hang. You will wonder why you never used it before as it saves so much time.

Morning all and evening Kim,

Misty moisty morning here and I was up early and having my morning cuppa when the bantams made a hell of a row and I thought Mr Fox was about so I clapped my hands but they still carried on so I walked down to them only to find them all up the far end of the pen and when I walked past the pool with the koi in there on the tarmac was one of the big fish flapping about. I did nothing more than pick it up, all slimmy and gritty with some scales missing, and put it back in the pool. Went and told oh and he came out to have a look. I had to c ome in and wash my hands twice to get rid of the slime. I had had my cream on my hands too only just put it on when it happened so I hope that dos'nt hurt the fish. There was a bit of blood streaks on my hands too and oh told me to put some savlon on those but it was'nt my blood it was from the poor fish.

So thats my first adventure for the day.

Ann thanks for the pics and the plant you wished to know what it was is a Salvia but I don't know which one. Two of the pics came out sideways which is unusual for you. It was Gordon and his friend in the last pic. I like the topiery garden. Oh mows our lawn like that sometimes on the criss cross as it makes it look good from different angles and it cuts bit that get missed by the mower when mowing one way all the time.

Hav'nt caught up with the posts from last night yet so I better read those now.

Morning sll, Evening Kim,

Lewis camr up at 8.30 yesterday morning. He had to go to the Dentist. He went to the cinema with Ros in the afternoon. He came out with me last night and will go home sometime late afternoon today. He has grown so much snd stsrting to fill out, and getting very hairy legs. HE'S A YOUNG MAN NOW. ;-) ;-) ;-)

Jane if Lewis can download the photo from Ros's phone I will send it on.

Are you still being a good girl Mel ??? What as shame about the fish. They do have mad moments. Two of mine did it and I lost them. :-( :-(

Haven't opened my emails this morning so don't know what's there.

All fed and watered as they say. I think Ros want's to take Lewis SHOPPING today, to find him something for his birthday on the 25th. I haven't been able to find him a little car, so it will be a surprise when he gets it anyway.

See you later, I am wanted by"HER who shall be obeyed"

Annx Report 8 Sep 2015 10:43

Morning All,

Do you think something like the fox fetched the fish out of the pool Mel or did it just jump out? I hope it's ok now. Maybe your cream will help stop it getting an infection! Yes, Salvia had half crossed my mind as it looks a bit like the very bright blue one. I didn't realise the photos had come out sideways. It's since I loaded the software to copy the slides to my computer. Annoyingly it seems to default to that now to show all my photos and even though I have turned them around using the old method, it seems it is still defaulting to the other when I send them!! I'm glad you mentioned it and will have to see if I can work around it somehow. Keep up the good work with the ciggies.........you could start some beading to keep your hands busy........make some christmas gifts!! lol.

OH has gone up north to a clerks meeting at a golf club and I'm off to post a parcel and get some milk now. Then we hope to meet at the fav carvery......if it's on today!! BBL

Annx

Annx Report 8 Sep 2015 14:17

Well the carvery was on so that was good. Not many people there though so I suspect they've lost some regular trade through not having it on all the time.

OH has gone into the city to do more bank stuff to do with MIL and FIL's account. The number of people we have notified changes to that are sending post to OH but at MIL's address is ridiculous after telling them to post things here!! Why don't people do their jobs properly!! We are being inundated with catalogues that MIL used to get as well.

My first car tax renewal has come since I had no disc so it does work! No disc yet the price is £10 more. :-S

Sounds like young Lewis will be a heart throb soon Frank if he isn't already!! I expect his voice has changed as well by now.

More jobs to do now, new numbers to go on the wheelie bins, prune one of the shrubs then start the dreaded HW.:-P :-P

I wonder if Mandy is any better now?

Frank

Frank Report 8 Sep 2015 15:27

Afternoon all,

They have just got back.!!! They went to "Linus" the place she goes each month to make the children's blankets. She took five back that she had made and bought back a load more to do at home.

They went to try to find some trainers for Lewis's birthday present. He told one shop what he wanted and they said they don't stock them. He replied I didn't think you would with the RUBBISH you have on your shelves :-D :-D :-D Lewis said they were all cheap trash !!! He knows what he wants, and won't take less. They ended up at "Frankie and Jonnies" American dinner. for some lunch.

I have just ordered his trainers "NIKE". They will be here on Thursday. Ros will go down on his birthday to see him (I'm still not welcome) and delivery them then.

I noticed that one Photo was on the side, but being a gentleman I didn't mention it. ;-) ;-) ;-) Hope you sort out the reason it does it. Most of Jane's are like that :-D :-D :-D (Sorry sweetie) !!!

Ros has just left to take Lewis home. He has something he want's to do this afternoon with his mates. I hope it's not long before he comes up again, but most Sunday's he plays Football.

Sheep S### pie tonight, with Runners cabbage and carrots.

I have had a quiet day today, and will go back to my book before Ros gets home. Tonight England play so I will be in the conservatory with a few cold beers.

Jane

Jane Report 8 Sep 2015 17:23

Frank Lewis sounds like a chip of the old block LOL...Are you still picking your Runners??? We have just picked the last of ours today :-(

Ann that is not good having the mail being sent to MIL's house .Trouble is even when people are notified of change they don't seem to always update the info.
I am still getting bank statements delivered here for Rachel in S Africa.I was getting them when she was in Dubai !!!!!!.I know for definite that the bank had been told to no longer send them.I kept a file for years but now just shred them when they arrive.Rachel is hapy for me to do that. It's just so frustrating.I do need to tell her though that they are still coming here.

Mel have you seen the poor fish since you put it back in the pond? Could it have been a Heron that snatched it out?I don't like the sound of it having blood on it :-S

it is getting much darker now at this time of day.I will need a light on shortly.
Thomas must think it is still summer as he is stretched on on the lounger LOL

Cinema for us tomorrow. We haven't been since the end of June. The film is 45Years.(I must have a look and see what it is about !! ).I think we will go to Pizz* Expre** for lunch as Chris has a voucher for 30% off food :-D

Frank I think it was Frankie and Bennie* that Lewis and Ros went to ,not Frakie and Johnny's :-D :-D.We have one of those here up by the cinema but I haven't been there for a few years.

I have a Honey Gammon Joint for this evening .with a tray of roasted peppers, mushrooms, red onions and charlotte potatoes..Not forgetting Runners :-D

I had a long natter with Hannah yesterday. She was yawning her head off the whole time.Told me all about the wedding and celebrations. It seemed they danced and partied until nearly 5am and then everyone ended up jumping in the swimming pool :-D to cool off.....In their dresses !!!!.She is taking it into the cleaners today :-D
There was oly one disaster. The night before the wedding the whole party went t oa Beach Club for the evening. The Bride and a couple of the girls were just sitting somewhere and a Tanker that collects sewerage (where they stick a pipe down a drain) was doing its job and the pipe broke !!!!!!!!!!!!!! spraying them with 'you know what :-S :-S :-S.Not badly ,but splatters.Luckily Hannah and a couple of the girls were still wating for a Taxi to take them to the Beach Club and someone rang just in time to ask them to take some spare clothes ..Talk about being in the wrong place at the wrong time !!!!
