Ann I hav'nt watched the Amazing Spaces but will do so on catch up. I like those sort of programs. Gives you some ideas.

Oh has bitched the three roof panels but still needs a bit more. The three he has treated are up on the roof now.

I do like Amazing Spaces Ann, but I've been so busy lately and I didn't have much space on the planner, so I've had to miss it this time round.

I'm so tired today, I think everything has caught up with me. OH has nearly finished the room so I'll be busy again tomorrow helping to put all the furniture back.

I'm so glad I didn't have anything to do today and have been able to relax for a change.

The F1 has just started and I've managed to persuade OH to take a break and watch it with me, which he's agreed to. He said he had to wait for the paint to dry anyway, so we're eating early then he can finish the painting after the F1 has finished. I think it'll be an early night for the two of us tonight.

Off to dish up now

Oh that's fantastic Pat, you'll soon be settled now. It's gone pretty smoothly considering how tricky these things can sometimes be!!! When we built our Log Cabin it went really well with very few holdups. It's one of the best things we've ever done, as it's so economical to run and maintenance is kept to the minimum. I hope you'll be as happy in your new home as we are in ours.
We've had a fab day, as you say Ann the colours were fantastic, and although we've been before, there is always something new to see. We had lunch at a pub that has only recently been refurbished, It was very good and we were able to sit outside and enjoy the sun.
I've been exploring audio books on Kindle Mel. You can borrow them (as well as buying) like the library, I think it's for two weeks then they just take them back electronically. I'm going to give it a whirl and see how I get on.

Enjoy your F&C Pat, just what you need after a busy day moving! I bet it's a weight off your minds just to be there, to have found room to store everything and be ready for when your new place is done. I bet you will sleep well tonight.

The shed's coming along nicely then Mel! Are the fish back in the old pool yet or still in temporary lodgings?

Having a rest today was a good idea Gill.

Pleased to hear you have arrived now Pat. Isn't it funny when you move house it's always fish and chips for dinner LOL. Hope it didn't rain. How long are you staying at your daughter's? Do you have a date for you moving in properly yet? Hope it's not to long for you and that you are settled soon <3

Just finished watching the F1 Qualifying. Hamilton and Rosberg didn't do very well, hopefully they'll do better in the race tomorrow.

OH is now back doing the painting, just one more coat on the walls and a further coat of gloss paint to go, which shouldn't take to much longer. We'll both be glad when it's finished then the whole place will be done. Sandra's happy as she'll be back in her room tomorrow night with all the things around her again. At the moment her stuff is split between two different rooms, so they'll be a big smile on her face this time tomorrow :-) :-).

Going to watch another programme off my planner now before Sandra's X Factor starts at 8pm

Didn't see you there Liz. It sounds like you've had a great day and having the sun too, it's gone overcast here now and it's not been very warm all day. That's a good idea about the electronic books.

It would help you to Mel and would save you missing the library date again.
So your OH has managed to get some more of his shed done, that's good, lets hope the weather stays nice for him to be able to finish it off.

Off to watch another programme now before Sandra takes over the TV LOL

Well I've been working away on my FH today. I've been interested in confirming I really am descended from that 'Sir' in the 1300s. I was trying to double check things from what others have found and printed off a 6 page document someone had written about the family that includes the 'Sir' and my Quaker ancestor born in the 1600s. Apart from it matching everything else I've found, this document shows some descendants of other siblings and there I've found a surprise! This branch of my family goes back all through the direct male line from my grandmother on dad's side. If I go back to my 13th gt grandfather, who should I find descended from his brother but Richard Nixon, president of USA. The funny thing is that when I first found my Nixon Quaker ancestors had gone to Pennsylvania OH joked that I was probably related to him!!! lol

Glad you had a nice day out Liz and that you could sit out and enjoy the sun.

Oh Ann what an exciting find :-D you are good at finding these things .
Sounds like you will have lots to add to your tree now .

Well we both feel worn out sorting out all this clutter from behind the shed i think we will be having an early night .

It must feel good now Pat that you are now closer to getting in your new home , with no more trekking backwards and forwards ,hopefully you can soon move in and i hope you will both be happy there .

Where's Frank ? hope that if he had that curry it hasn't put him in touch with his white friend all day !!

How wonderful Ann, I bet you were getting more and more excited as the day went by. So not only are you related to a "Sir" you're related to President Nixon too. I bet you're on cloud 9 now......Well done, that must of been a lot of research over a long period of time to find all that out. I'm so pleased for you <3

Annx Report 19 Sep 2015 20:25

I bet you are pleased to get that job done...........hope your hubby managed to part with a lot of it.

Yes, where is Frank? :-)

Gillx Report 19 Sep 2015 20:25

Didn't see you there Mandy. It's a nice feeling when you've had a good clear out isn't it? Is it all finished now?

Yes I was wondering where Frank was today. Hope Ros had a nice birthday and they are both well. Did Ros like her gifts Frank? I'd love to see a photo of the pic you had done for her ;-)

OH has finished the small room now and has nipped out. Sandra is watching her X Factor.

Thanks for letting us know about FMP Mandy. I might take a look as I'm not that interested in the X Factor.

Ann you have spurred me on to look at my tree again :-D :-D Good luck with yours I'd love to hear more, it's really fascinating. Who is the Sir? You didn't say :-S

I was quite surprised when he chucked out so much as last time most of it went back ,there's so much he hasn't used so it has to go you carn't hang on to things for ever .
He has to fill a crack in the rendering on the back of the shed then it will be the job of sand texing it next so he might start on that tomorrow .

Perhaps Franks eyes are playing him up, it carn't be easy to read and post on here with out glasses .

And it is Ros's special birthday too.

Glad you had a good clear out Mandy. It will look nice when its had a fresh coat of sandtex.

Ann how exciting to go back that far. I wish you could find some of my ancester back that far for me. I am back to 1500 and something on the Hannabuss line but stuck there.

Glad Pat got there safely and has got everything stored away in the new place. It won't be long now and you can move in. Hope your happy there Pat. How are the dogs?

Gillx Report 20 Sep 2015 08:14

Morning all

The sun is out here today but at the moment it's quite chilly too.

It's furniture day today, we're moving all the furniture back into the correct rooms, starting with Sandra's room. We've just put the blinds and curtains back, then it'll be the wardrobe as that was put into the middle of the room so OH could work around it. After that will be her bed and the rest of the furniture. We're hoping to have it finished before Sandra wakes up as a surprise for her <3

I think OH and I drank to much tea yesterday as we're both been up and down all night, we gave up at 7am and got up. My washing machine is on already, so it looks like another busy day for both of us.

We're going sofa shopping on Wednesday when OH has his day off work and we might get a couple of new carpets for the living room and hall too. So we're almost there getting this place all finished in time for the winter. Then before we know it Christmas will be here again........Where has this year gone? It feels like it's passed by so quickly.

Just finishing my cuppa then we'll get back to all the work we have planned. I'm so happy all the decorating is finally finished and we can get back to normal.

Hope Frank can make it on here today.

See you all later <3

Morning all and evenign KIm,

Lovely weather again here this morning. Oh is out working on the shed and I have only just been up since just before 10am.

We seem to have a lot of dozy flies around today in the kitchen. There were a few last night so as I went out the kitchen I sprayed which is unusual for me because I can't take the smell of fly spray. Came out this morning and there were two on the kettle doing you know what so out came the swat. I soon put paid to their unsavory habits and then had to go round the whole kitchen with the dettox spray.

Think I may go up the border this afternoon if I can move after our big breakfast. I want to see the grand prix too as I think it could be very interesting with the pol epostions Lewis and his teem mate have. Vettel's in pole so it should be good.

Gillx Report 20 Sep 2015 10:38

That's all Sandra's furniture back in her room, she is absolutely thrilled with it and keeps saying thanks and hugging us. She's just putting all her stuff back in her wardrobe. I've moved her furniture around from the last time it was in there and now the room looks much bigger.

She did have a TV in there but it was a very old one so that has gone now which she prefers. She uses the one in the dining room anyway, So now she has said that she can put the Christmas tree in it's place later in the year.....bless her. It's so nice to see her smile again, after her sister upsetting her last week <3

Well, she's almost finished so I can now get in there to make her bed and put her pictures and ornaments back in, that'll make it all cosy for her. The only thing is, I can't remember where I put her lamp. Our place is still a bit upside down, but I'm sure I'll find it for her before tonight.
