I haven't see WDYTYA yet, I recorded it so will watch it later.

It'll do you good to have a day off from cleaning Ann, are you doing anything nice today instead?

I managed to find a chutney recipe Mel online so I'm going to try it next week if I get some time. I still have a bit more room in my freezer so I'm going to do another bag of apples today and make the apple cake.

I need to polish this place, there's still dust around from when we sanded the ceiling and the place could do with a hoover as well. Looks like I'm going to be busy again today :-)

Going to get my morning cuppa now too, hope all goes well with your baby's lesson today Liz

Morning all and evening Kim.

Well you obviously did'nt read my last post last night on the previous page Liz because I said in it that that was the best WDYTYA I have ever seen. Did'nt say anymore as some of us record the program but I know Ann and Gordon will certainly enjoy it.

Not a bad morning here and we are both at the docs at 12. I am already and oh has been and fed our friends dogs and pigs as they are in Italy.

I can't believe it is Friday AGAIN they seem to come around so quickly lately.

What a set to last night. Jo was due here about 9.00pm. 9.45 the phone rang to say she was in the village, but didn't know where she was. Twenty minutes later she arrived. She hadn't put her SAT NAV on and was trying to work out how her Mum bought her here before. "SCATTER BRAIN"

JJ is an absolute treat to have. He slept in his box all night I let him out at SEVEN O'CLOCK. He's been charging around the garden and rolling on the wet grass.(good job I cut it yesterday) He comes in soaked and rolls on the mats to dry off, then out again. He has settled in as though he's been here for ever <3 <3 <3 We won't want him to go home Sunday.

Three of Ros's friends are taking her out this afternoon for "AFTERNOON TEA" as a late birthday present. So I won't know what to do for dinner till she gets home.

I hope Cassie enjoys her GUN training this afternoon, I bet it will seem strange for the first few "BANGS"
Glad you are having an easy day today Ann. There is plenty of time to get cleared out at the house. Don't over do it and knock yourself up ;-) ;-) ;-)

Well the sunshine is out, with fluffy clouds. so it looks like being a nice day.

Well here I am back home and the washing machine going full pelt.The washing line is full and the tumble drier going too...I just knew James was going to leave all his washing until the last minute :-S :-S.He had done most of it but it was sitting in wash baskets all wet.Hey Ho back to normal life :-D

Well we had a great holiday.Mixed weather but most of it was good.Very hot at times .
It is such a beautiful place with wonderful scenery.I am missing it already.
I picked Thomas up this morning and the lady had fallen in love with him :-D.She said it took him 2 or 3 days to settle but was then fine.He is glad to be back and is in and out of the house like a yoyo at the moment.Ithink to check I am still here LOL.He feels all silky so I think he has had a good brush :-D
Hannah is due to arrive at Northampton Station at 2 so Chris will be going off to pick her up.She is off to some party tonight.
James had a good time in Berlin with Jess .I forgot when we got in last night that I hadn't actually seen him since he got back.He is off to Stutgagrt next week I think with work but it is just a day trip !! That will be pretty tiring .

Frank your little guest sounds lovely.Do send a pic of him.
I haven't read any posts and not sure I will be able to catch up on nearly 2 weeks of them.
Fitz will now be enjoying his holiday and staying in our room at the Hotel LOL.We left an envelope with plenty of info about good places to eat and visit in his pigeon hole.
I think the weather is looking good there for him.

Well I have just heard the washing machine finish again so will go and get this lot out.

Hello Jane, nice to have you back. It sounds like you had a wonderful time away, but like you said back to the real world now with all the washing :-( :-( that's the down side I suppose. Frank passed on the pic of all the snow on the mountains, how beautiful. It must of been so nice and relaxing having all that lovely scenery around you? I'd love to see some pictures if you have any, when you get the time.

Well, I've just done yet another big bag of apples which are cooling down ready for the freezer. Poor Sandra has been helping me and is getting fed up of them now. So am I, but I think that might be the last I can freeze now as I'm pretty sure the freezer compartment will be full after this last load.

How are you getting on with yours Frank? Are you going to do anymore or just stick to the one lot you've already done?
I love the photo of JJ, isn't he lovely and those long ears, I bet they move around a lot when he is jumping in and out of the bungalow and garden LOL. Everyone's going to love him when you show him off today. I can see how you're not going to want to give him back on Sunday.
Fancy Jo forgetting to put the SAT NAV on, at least she got there in the end. Hope Ros enjoys her afternoon tea. Did you manage to get a gold frame for her painting in the end? Sorry can't remember what you said about that :-S

How did Cassie get on today Liz, did she enjoy herself or was she a bit nervous with the noise?

I've been chatting with Michelle today online, things seemed ok and her last visit wasn't mentioned..... best to leave it in the past and move on. She has double booked herself tonight and doesn't know what to do, she's suppose to be going to her friends house for a meal and also meeting her new boyfriends friend for the first time. I suggested she goes to the meal and then meets up with the boys later as they are going for a drink at the pub, that way she won't let anyone down.

I also suggested she get a diary and write all her nights out in there so she doesn't make the same mistake again. The reason she's double booked is because she thought she was meeting her boyfriends friend tomorrow night.....Never mind I'm sure she'll sort it out, the only problem is she's starting with a sore throat and isn't feeling very well and she has to be up early in the morning for work. Hopefully she'll be ok and have a good time out with everyone tonight.

Going to watch WDYTYA now, by the sounds of what you've all been saying it'll be well worth watching.

Cas is fine with the noise Gill as we have a dummy and a gun which we've been using since certainly she was a baby, so there's no problem with guns going off. Her training is to teach her to retrieve properly and not go running off with what she's picking up!! Also she must learn to be completely obedient, to commands. This is where she needs quite a bit of work, but she's only seven months old so there's plenty of time. We're taking her again next week.
Glad you've chatted with Michelle and that things are better between you. I think you've been very wise, there's just no point letting an episode fester or turning it into an issue, much better to put things behind you and move on , no good was ever done by recriminations!! I talked to our son this morning for ages, and we're so looking forward to our stay with them in three weeks time, we're going for five nights, so it'll be a proper break. We've got a chap locally who comes to look after Merlin, (for free!!) so barring incidents, we should be ok!
Time for tea!!!

Gill I have taken 180 photos...I have got them on the computer now but to email I have to put a password in, and can I get the right one????? I will keep trying and then I will be able to send some pics.
Hannah is home now and is house hunting on the pooter.The girls have to move as the house is going up for sale.I think they can stay where they are until the end of October.So it is all go .

I have several programmes I want to watch that I have missed..Ther last one of Jimmy Rose's Trails,,Dr Foster (the last 2),and Downton Abbey.OH and WDYTYA :-D

Well we had our little walk around the block, but didn't see anyone :-( :-(. He has been in and out to the back garden, which is completely fenced in, so he can run around to his hearts content. He is fast asleep in the armchair at the moment.

So pleased you had a great holiday Jane. I hope you feel rested !!! Now you are back in the real world. :-D :-D I didn't know Fitz was staying in your hotel and the same room. Lets hope the weather is good for him.

I see the weather here is going to be very good over the weekend but with colder nights Brrrrrrrr We are still sleeping with just a throw over the top sheet. When it gets colder we will put a light blanket on the bed.

I am still hitting the wrong letters on this new laptop and having to go back to correct it.

I enquired about Flu Jabs yesterday, we gets ours towards the end of October. They aren't in yet !!!

Gill I managed to get a company to make an Antique Gold frame for the painting. It should be here Monday. I will get Tony round to take the picture out and re-frame it. I think you are right to let Michelle get on with her life, How old is she ??

I have done the front lawn this afternoon, so my jobs are done for now. Just the potato's to do.

If Ros has had a BLOW OUT Afternoon Tea. I can get myself something later or go to the pub and have a bite with a couple of pints. Will wait and see how she got on !!

Valerie (Sid's wife) was going to drive, but when she got her car out to start it, ALL THE LIGHTS CAME ON and she couldn't turn them off without shutting down the engine.
Sounds to me like an Engine Management unit, which will be more than her 03 plate car is worth. (MORE EXPENSE) !!!

At the moment I am sitting with doors and windows open, bare chested and I am as warm as toast.

I'm pleased Thomas had a good HOLIDAY and was well looked after. You must be very pleased that he missed you. He will start to bring you gifts now he is home and the mice have replenished themselves, and there will be more baby rabbits <3 <3 <3

Been a smashing day here and oh got a lot done on the pond edging.

We had our flu jabs and went on to get some more screws for the decking and came home and had lunch. I did some washing and forgot to put it on the line till a little while ago!! I think it can stay out all night now. I don't think we are in for any rian but will keep my eye out.

Hope Ros enjoyed her birthday tea with the girls.

Nice to have our Jane back as she has been missed by as as well as that Thomas. I bet he has been in and out to make sure everything is as he left it. Bless........ <3

I posted just before Jane's post Frank, with news of Cas. She's had a good run in the field, had her supper, and is snoozing in her bed!
The drag hunt is here at 7.30 tomorrow morning, so OH will be up bright and early to take Cas and follow them. They finish about 11, then we're over to Cricklade to look at a church with a stain glass window that is dedicated to one of OH's ancestors, an R.N Captain circa 1785. He made an enormous amount of money and was a major benefactor of the town in that period. Only slight(?!!) problem is that the family owned a sugar plantation in the Caribbean!! Clearly slavery, :-( But as OH said, there's nothing he can do about that now!

Another sunny day and washing done and dried. Thanks for the pics of JJ Frank. He's a sweet little dog and has soon settled in at your place and is enjoying himself! lol Ros had a good tea then and won't want anything else! I'm the same as you now with this new keyboard on the laptop....keys are in different places and I keep mishitting them!! :-S OH took the monitor in this morning and the man has left a message to say it is DEAD!! He's lending me one on Monday just so I can transfer data I want to the laptop. It will save me buying a new one.

There were no new faces at class this morning and none of us got much done today. There are so many forms to fill in it takes up 10 minutes of the first class anyway, which seems to be a swizz to me that we spend beading time we have paid for filling in their forms.

This afternoon we went to see the film Legend which is about the Kray Twins. I wasn't sure I would enjoy it but it was very good and there were only 6 of us there.

Glad you had a nice time Jane. I think I would have preferred your mixed weather to scorching hot all the time. I always get the washing on as soon as we get back too. :-)

Mel, I use those scourer type of sponge things on dead skin. Mine seems to be getting drier and more flaky lately and I keep forgetting to put moisturiser on at night. I bet the pond is starting to look quite different with the raised edge. I must admit I liked the 2 at the cemetry which were waist high so you were really close to the fish.

Gill I think I would be sick of doing the apples by now as well. You must have a good lot in your freezer now. It was a good idea to move on with Michelle.

Yes things seemed better between Michelle and I Liz. You are lucky having someone to look after Merlin for you and for free too. Have a nice time away :-). So Cass had a great time then? It's good that she is used to the noise I bet she'll have a great time again next week and will soon learn what it is she needs to do. Like you said she's still quite young, so plenty of time. Enjoy your day out tomorrow, it sounds very interesting.

It sounds like your OH has been busy today Mel. I've just seen the weather forecast and it's suppose to be really good weather for the next few days so hopefully he'll be able to complete everything.

That's a lot of photo's Jane, can't wait to see some when you can sort them out. Glad to hear the weather wasn't all bad and that you had a great time.

I bet the picture will look lovely in the new gold frame Frank, that was nice of Tony to say he would put it in the frame for her. Michelle is almost 28 so old enough to sort out things herself, but I think she was bit shocked when she realised her mistake which is why she asked me what she should do, plus she's not feeling very well at the moment so probably couldn't think straight. I'm sure she'll have a lovely time tonight.

I've finally finished all the apples now Ann, there isn't anymore room in the freezer. We have got some stored in the garage so I can make the apple cake.......I've still not done it, I didn't sleep very well last night so was a bit tired to do it today.

The rest of the apples are going to OH's workmates, one of who is the girl who has the stables. He asked everyone at work and was told to take in any we have left over then everyone can help themselves. So none of them will go to waste. There are still a few left on the tree which have been falling off each day so they are getting added to the bags. I'm going to go through all the bags tomorrow to make sure there aren't any damaged or rotten ones, OH wouldn't want to take them to work.

Evening all,

Another lovely sunny day here again ,i striped the bed this morning and got it all dry, i was then going to get the iron out this afternoon when DIL came with Lewis and Lacey ,she sat Lewis down in the lounge with some toys and came through to the kitchen went back and in that short time he was heading towards the fire place !! he can crawl quite quickly now and he was trying to pull his self up on his feet holding on to the chair .

Glad you enjoyed the holiday Jane ,coming home to all the washing though is the worst part ,the first thing after getting home is to put the kettle on then open cases and get a load of washing in .
I bet Thomas will be on the hunt again for his rabbits and mice, now he's home he has some catching up to do

Oh Frank JJ looks a nice little dog , bet you both enjoyed the walk out this afternoon shame there was no one about to show him off too .
I bet the cats keep out of the garden while he's about :-D i hope he's not a digger !! don't think Ros would be too pleased if he had a dig in the garden !!

Well the sale went though ok Money is now in the bank We went back yesterday to bring the last things back and to give it the final clean and to put the fridge freezer on after we defrosted it for them. and then popped the keys into the estate agents..
We are still in Clares house for about another 10 days..The builders are falling over each other now trying to do their bit The walls have been painted They sprayed it all on The bathroom has been tiled toilet and sink fitted the shower cubicle a still to be fitted most of the floor is down ..The water heater is waiting to be connected..Skirtings still to be done and doors added and painted...so nearly there now

Wow not long now then Pat and you will be in your new home.

I'm so pleased for you Pat <3 Things are moving along quickly now, it won't be long before you can move in and be settled :-D

Well, here we are at the crack of dawn!! OH is feeding Merlin, he'll then get himself toast and coffee. I shall get up and have some too as he hates eating on his own!! Then he and Cas will go and open our two field gates to let the hunt through when they appear. It's not a right of way, but a concession by us as it's a short cut and saves them a lot of roadwork. (and keeps good relations!!) ;-)
After this we're off out, so a busy day ahead!

Hope you have a nice day today Liz, at least the weather is sunny so that won't spoil anything. You have had an early start, you'll be tired later after getting up at the crack of dawn.

Bright and sunny here today, I don't know how warm it is yet as I haven't been outside. Planning on sorting out the gardens today ready for the Estate Agents arriving on Tuesday. OH might give the grass another cut on Monday when he's off work again if it needs doing.

So glad the apples are finished, I was actually starting to dream about them LOL, More apples have fell off the tree (the ones OH couldn't reach at the top) so I'm still adding them to the bags he's going to take to work next week.

I need to hoover and polish the bungalow too, I didn't get round to it yesterday and I'd also like to watch the F1 later if I get time. I'm recording it because OH is in work today and won't be home until around 9pm. I might watch it with him tonight as I have lots of pot plants to sort out and don't think I'll have the time before then. So another busy day ahead. You never know I might get a day off soon with any luck :-D :-D

I watched WDYTYA yesterday, what a brilliant story. It's the best one I've seen too Mel.
