No Frank, both the Krays are dead now.I remember Reggie being released a few years back now on Compassionate circumstances .I think he lasted 6-8 weeks.I think Ronnie died in Broadmoor from a Heart Attack some years ago.

I think WDYTHYA is on tonight.I must have a check.Don't want to miss it.

Annx Report 8 Oct 2015 21:32

Evening All,

I thought you'd think it was good Jane.Yes, Ronnie was quite mad wasn't he. I wondered if the actor who played both of them got paid twice!!

We didn't go out this afternoon after all. OH took the paint to the tip then went again with a car full of our garden rubbish while I was at the hairdressers this morning. We went to the fav carvery but OH was feeling so tired and then had an upset tummy later and I had to ring to let them know he wouldn't be at his meeting tonight. He's feeling a lot better now after a good sleep and rest. He's worked so hard this week.

I don't think the house is in a good spot for a yard sale Mandy as it is in a crescent so doesn't lead anywhere and so only the people who live there and their visitors use it. It would have been good to do that if it had been on a main road.

We are still aiming to have it clear by the end of October as getting it on the market is our priority. It means minimum HW and everything on hold at our place in the meantime so I shan't get the uti repainted till next year now.

That's just what we've been doing Mel, jumping in the shower as soon as we get back!! lol. You feel so grubby and dirty. I even wear gloves there all the time. Oh Mel that house you describe sounds a lot worse and like the ones I've seen on programmes about hoarders!! They say it often starts when there has been a great loss in someone's life and is really very, very sad, but hard for most of us to understand that someone can bear to live in what becomes squalor eventually. I bet your dad didn't think you'd move there if he didn't clean and disinfect everywhere before you saw it.

Frank is Ros wanting to cut down the amount of planting she does? It must take a lot of work to keep it all looking so good, so a bit more lawn would make it easier for her.

That's good the estate agents have put the floorplan on Gill. I always look at those as it is very useful. They seem to be doing a better job than the last ones. I hope the lady decides to go ahead. Seems it was to her liking otherwise.

I hope you have a nice week at Hastings Anne. :-) It's good you have neighbours who will feed your pets.

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 8 Oct 2015 22:57

We are neighbours and freinds who feed other peoples pets.

Dinner was cleaned right up by both of us. Full to the brim.

Ann there was a tree growing outside the back door so you could'nt open it and Dave a chap that worked for dad had to go out the french doors and cut it down before they could open the back door for some air. It also had a cellar and once while dad had the floor boards up in the front room someone went in through the bay window after smashing it and they fell through to the cellar. Dad said served them right and there was blood so they hurt themselves.

Tired now so am saying night night.

Morning all

Cloudy here today so I'm not sure if we're going to get he sun we need for the photo's today :-( Hope it brightens up later.

Have a lovely time in Hastings Anne, hope the weather is kind to you :-)

I bet you'll be glad when MIL's place is completely finished Ann. I'm sure you'll have it all done by the end of the month, then you can put the house on the market.

The property you moved into Mel, sounds like there was a lot to do as well. At least it was all sorted for you moving in.

Is it today Pat moves into her new place? If it is Pat, I hope it all goes smoothly for you.

Glad to hear you enjoyed your film Jane, are you watching anymore this week?

I don't have much planned for today, other than sort the living room out for the second photo to be taken. OH, Sandra and I have sorted outside and now it looks much better with the fresh paintwork and clean driveway. I'll check the freezer in the garage, now OH has put the electrics in there and if I've got it at the right temperature I'll move the frozen stewed apples from the freezer in the kitchen to the one in the garage. Other than that it'll be a quiet day.

I watched the whole series of Dr Foster yesterday morning, it was good, wasn't it?

What is everyone else doing today?

Morning Everyone

We are almost ready to go, I have to make sure the cats are not shut in any of the rooms they only have the kitchen and landing when we are away, So far this morning one dead shrew, a large dead spider and an alive frog I don't enjoy the journey to Hastings although we have done it so many times when both sets of parents were still alive.. Its the 2 motorways M3 & M25 which can have problems.

Toby is being very naughty I think he senses we are going away, I hope there aren't any mistypes in this as I have one eye on him all the time

I hope everyone has a good week be back soon

Morning all and evening Kim,

Lovely bright morning for Anne's trip to Hasting, safe journey Anne.

It is so bright I went out to the dustbin and the sun caught on the pond and I was blinded for a min. I now have lights infront of my eyes so I hope I am not goingto get a migraine (sp).

Have a relaxing day Gill after all the hard work you have done, the apples will wait.

Morning All
Sunny Sunny morning :-D :-D..Just had a stroll down the lane to see what all the plastic fencing is in the field.Luckily I bumped into a chap in his hard hat and some bit of equipment so I asked him..It is all to do with the Great Crested Newt and the Badgers.Any Newts found will be moved and there are Cameras down all the Badger Setts to keep an eye on them. When the new road is built if the Badgers are (in the way) they will be relocated too :-D..I have been worrying about all the Badgers ,but now my mind can rest :-D :-D..

Anne have a good journey and a lovely time with the family.Fingers crossed there are no nasty hold ups on the way..I always dread that M25..
Cats do know when you are going away .I always found with any of our pets that as soon as they saw a suitcase they just knew.
I remember one of our cats(when I w as younger) got shut in a neighbours house. They had gone away on holiday. We wondered where Rudy was and then spotted him sitting on thw windowsill in an upstairs bedroom !!!!.Dad decided to try our back door key in the house and it worked !!!!So Dad nipped in and got Rudy out.

Gill it will be nice for you to have a nice easy day.Maybe so time in the garden if the sun keeps shining :-D..I need to empty some pots this morning and get some washing done.I don't think I need to go anywhere today.

Just going to have some porridge :-D

Morning from a blue sky and sunshine Northants, Evening Kim,

Have a good trip Ann, Hope the traffic isn't too bad. Enjoy the sunshine, which as my friend says "Well it's Hastings" the sun always shines. lol

I can't keep up with all these people dying, there seems to be so many of my age in the paper. I see that Dennis Healey passed away this week. The fast bowler Typhoon Tyson has also passed on.

I am considering a walk down the Canal, I will see how I feel after my shower and I am dressed.

The Gas Board are back again this morning, but so far No NOISE.

I am thinking of doing away with my VEG PATCH and growing Dahlias and Cryanths. (sp) for picking in the Autumn for the house. Might be easier on my back and legs. !!! and it will be nice for Ros to pick as she needs them. We will see :-D :-D

When you see these programmes about horder's, you really can't believe how they get started, after having a normal life for so long.

Mel yesterday, while at the worktop preparing dinner, the sun was reflexing off the neighbours car windows. It was so bright in my eyes I had to move down the kitchen. (It's not that big but got me out of the reflexion)

Are you off to the Coast today Mandy ?? What time are you picking me up ?? :-D :-D :-D I will make sure I am ready. ;-) ;-) ;-)

Frank Report 9 Oct 2015 13:03

Where do you want me to meet you tomorrow Mandy ??? I promise I won't be LATE> !!!

I have just sent two photo's one is the bridge at the bottom of the lane from the pub, the other from a small hire/repair business a bit further down the canal.

I couldn't do my full walk this morning. So I gave up after about a mile. Then I had the job of getting from the canal up loads of steps to the high street. Then the walk up the village to home. Like an IDIOT I wore my heavier coat this morning, and had to take it off and tie the sleeves around my waist. BOY oh BOY was I hot !!!

As soon as I got home I stripped off and flopped into the armchair. Ros got me a coffee before going into the garden again. I told her to "Have a day Off" No, I want to get it finished. Stubborn or what :-D :-D :-D

Now in my shorts and going to sit out on the patio for an hour.

I'm pleased to hear everyone has had a sunny day, it was so cloudy here this morning that the Agent never came to take the photo. OH has just called in to see if she can do it now as the sun has finally come out but she was in a meeting. The lady he spoke to said if she gets the time she'll call round later. Good job I rang them this morning otherwise I wouldn't of known she wasn't planning on coming. I'm not sure if this Agent is going to be any good, we are now considering cancelling them and going with someone else. If they don't come to take the photo today I might cancel tomorrow...we still have a few days to decided either way.

So far, they put the property on the market in September after we asked for October which was the day after, eventually they changed it 2 days later. Then we had to wait over a week for them to put the floorplans on the internet after me having to remind them 3 times and now they can't be bothered to ring us to let us know they weren't coming to take the photo's this morning....We haven't even been with them for 2 weeks yet. Not a good start is it?

I wouldn't mind but OH and I have worked so hard to get the place looking good with all the painting and cleaning of the drive and I think the weather isn't going to be very good after today, so it would of been nice if they could of stuck to the original arrangement and taken the photo's today. I guess we'll just have to wait and see if they turn up before the sun goes around the side and is no longer on the front of the property......Sorry rant over now ;-) ;-) Hope tomorrow is a better day than todays been.

I'm taking a look at my family tree at the moment to see if I can find any new peeps.

Hope everyone's enjoying their day <3

The Agent finally came to take the photo but I think it's because I rang them to say we were going to cancel our contract with them. I spoke with the owners son and he didn't seem bothered that we were thinking of going with another Agent, he then put me on to the woman who was taking the photo. She was much nicer and very understanding and was here within 10 minutes of talking with her. She even brought me a bag as an apology. She took 3 photo's of the front and let me choose which one I preferred. I did get a bit tearful on the phone because I thought this Agent was going to be as bad as the last one. At least now I don't need to contact them again, I can just wait for them to contact us with any viewings they might have and wait the 3 months we have to stay with them to see how they improve, if they don't then it's just a point of giving them 14 days notice and letting them go.

I always thought they were the best Agent around here, but now I'm having my doubts. At least the outside photo's done now and will go online in the next couple of days. The one we wanted taking of the living room can be left now, as I don't fancy going through all the hassle again.

I've got a headache with it all, so I'm going to take some painkillers and relax for a bit. I hope you have better luck with the Agent you choose Ann, when it comes to selling MIL's house. I know moving house can be stressful, but I never thought getting it online could be just as bad.

Going to get a painkiller now
See you all later <3

Lovely picture Frank thank you. Your sky was as blue as ours today but it is now overcast.

I have cleaned out the big girls and the run of the bantams, hoovered the kitchen and diner, hall, bathroom and his study. Potted up more strawberry runners and various other things and am now having a sit down.

Now I am going to read your posts.

Evening All,

I liked your photo of the old bridge Frank, but then you know I do like a walk along a canal! I shall be glad when we have time to do some walks like that again ourselves.I'm always too hot for a coat though. :-)

Oh dear Gill, at least the agent is putting things right now, but it is disappointing when they don't do what you ask. Yes I shall be very choosy about what agent we have. I was lucky when I sold my last place, but I was very clear about what I expected from them. We are being pestered already by the agent who valued MIL's house for probate and which I take as a sign it will sell well at the value they gave. I know OH would go ahead with them, but I shall check with another 2 agents to compare charges and service first.

Speaking of things not happening as they should, the bank that sent us a gift hamper have made 2 more blunders. OH has been waiting for a new cheque book since 9th September and found out today that the branch he went in hadn't even passed the details to Head Office! Another hamper may be coming our way.

It's been a lovely day here, so after beading class and lunch we went to look around a garden centre then on to MIL's house to fetch a boot full of things back including the threadbare teddy bear and some of those cards you used to get in tea packets! The space OH made in our garage a while ago is rapidly filling up. :-S

Poor Frank Mandy, all ready with his bucket and spade for a trip to the coast and with money in his pocket for a crab no doubt! It would have been a good day to go as well. lol.

Off to watch a bit of recorded telly now and then an early night.

What are the tea cards of Ann. I have two pics of 25 ciggy cards each on the kitchen wall. These are of wild flowers.

I only have 6 teeth to have out now as another one fell out after lunch. It's perfect.

Mandy fancy forgetting you were going out today. :-( I would have thought you were looking forward to taking Frank with you and he was all ready with his case packed.

We'll have to cancel tomorrow as the tide will be out and they won't be able to catch the fish for our lunch :-(

We'll have to go Sunday :-D

I like the photo of the old bridge Frank ,it must be a nice walk down by the river .

It must have been nice to have a day off from all the sorting Ann , what are you making in your beading class ?

Oh no Mel, not another tooth falling out ,your gums must be really receding for your teeth to just come out like that ,good job you didn't swallow it !!

Mandy it felt very loose during lunch and after I wiggled it a couple of times and it came out in my fingers. It had been hurting a bit the last couple of days as it was one of the teeth I eat on but now I can't!! The pain has gone too. I've had a couple of good swills with Corsadyl (sp). I had beef broth and bread and butter for dinner tonight and oh had chilli so I did'nt think I should have that.........

Going in the shower now and signing out so see you all in the morning.

Hope Anne sleeps well in Hastings.
