Morning to all my friends, and or course Afternoon to Kim,
It's a lovely morning here, Sunshine and blue sky's. Looks almost warm enough to "SUN BATH" :-D :-D :-D
Glad our Shil is alright. I haven't seen her on skype lately. When I next do, I will give her a call and have a chat.
Yes Anne Same at my house, we were never allowed to find popular music as kids. "WHAT'STHAT RUBBISH" would be heard, if we tried to find a programme. I think that's why we enjoyed trying to find music on the "CATS WHISKER"
Our friend John had his new knee fitted last night 7.30 pm came back to the ward 10.00 pm. Carolyn said he's a bit groggy, but has had a drink this morning.
Do you take the OH when you do the "DONKEY" Shopping, or is he like me and let you do it !!!
Jan stayed again last night, and is staying tonight as well. She will drive home on Wednesday when she has had a day off driving. I expect they will be of to Town or M. K. to nose around the shops.
Hope everybody has "A GOOD DAY". See you later.

I have had the HONOUR of being allowed to hang out the sheets and pillow cases. Madam decided as it was a nice morning she would change the bed. Before the W.M. finished they had gone out, and I was asked to hang out the washing. I bet it's not right so hope it's dry before she gets back, then I can fold it up (BET IT'S WRONG) sand put it in the basket.
Can't decide what to do for dinner tonight. I might do a shoulder of lamb as Jan likes that, with roasts and veg.
I am tempted to go for a walk, but not having Ros at home to ring if I need a lift home, I had better stay put. ,

Have you done your sun bathing yet Frank :-D :-D :-D :-D How did you get on with the washing, is it in the basket yet??? Good idea not to take a walk if you think you might need Ros to bring you home.
Well, so much for the hints on Ancestry helping me, so far I've only added one child his wife and I think I might of found two daughters for them, but they're not on my tree yet. The wife was a nightmare to find as she had been married before and the record had her 1st married name on, not to mention that her first and second names had been swapped around as well. Hope the rest of the family aren't as difficult to get my head around. No wonder it's took me around 10 years to do my Allen's. Terrible name to research :-S :-S.
The sun shown its face for about a minute and now it's all cloudy again, not as dark as before but still not sun bathing weather like Frank has.
Well, I'm going to have a cuppa then get back to my tree. I think I've found quite a few tree match's on Genes to the wife I found, so hopefully someone will know more about this bit of the family. BBL

Oh what an embarrassing moment I had this morning. When Ros called out "we are off now" I was in the shower. I got out and dried off, came out of the bathroom to get clean pants etc. When who should be standing in the lounge JAN. She must have heard the bathroom door open and turned round, as the lounge door in all glass pains, she saw me in my all together. I quickly covered myself, and apologised . I had very strong words with Ros.. Saying when you say you are GOING. THEN GO> !!!!
The washing is all dry and "FOLDED" It's in the basket ready for inspection :-D :-D :-D and ready for ironing.
I have done a half leg of lamb, Roast parsnips and pots, Swede, carrots, runner beans, and cauli. No Cheese sauce. today, I can't be bothered.
;-) ;-) ;-)
The bin men have en today, so I have washed the bins out and the food caddy
The type is going all funny this afternoon. If I try to fit another word in it takes the letter from the following word. Hence en instead of BEEN.
Is the DONKEY home now ??? All unpacked and having a rest I hope. !!
The sun is still shining here, and it's a beautiful afternoon. How is where you all are ???
I have eaten the rest of the sheep sh## pie, warmed up in the microwave. I think it tasted better today than yesterday.
Arsenal are playing tonight at the pub. So I will go and give them a bit of support. Well they are ENGLISH playing a GERMAN TEAM.
No word from the girls, so I expect they are enjoying themselves. BLESS 'EM

Good Afternoon everyone
Oh dear Frank flashing in your bungalow I don't expect you have anything that Jan hasn't seen before
I have been to the hygienist this morning it takes about 40 mins there and back so I'm glad it is a lovely day for walking although the buses run every 20 mins so its not a problem. Amy had a shorter walk today. Before I left I rescued a tiny mouse from the 3 horrors.
Gill we also pay £35.00 for our garden bin to be collected fortnightly we also have 2 composters which we need with silver birch at the bottom of the garden shredding their leaves at this time of the year
Frank did you listen to" Norman & Henry Bones" and" Dick Barton" in the pre television days
We are having moussaka tonight which reminds me of my Greek friend, runner beans & mediterranean vegetables .

Dick and Snowy !! Dick Barton Special Agent. 6.45 each evening. Wouldn't got out till I heard that. Then it was only to the youth club. Home by 8.30 latest. I don't think I heard the other one Anne. Saturday night theatre after the weekly bath was another favourite.
Choice of Roast Beef or Roast Lamb for the girls tonight. They rang to say they were going over to Jan's daughter and the baby, who had to go to the doctors this morning with a very poorly tummy (the baby not Kerry) lol They the girls have just rung to say they are just leaving Weldon a good three quarters of an hours drive. So I have turned everything off till 6.30. They said they would be home for 6.15, So I hope it doesn't spoil.
It wasn't that Jan hadn't seen a man naked before but not me. I didn't want to SCARE HER.
:-D :-D :-D
It's been such a beautiful day here. Almost like a spring day <3 <3 The sun was very warm until it went down.
I will enjoy my walk to the pub after dinner. It will make room for my beer. Tony will bring me home when the match finishes.
I must remember to put some treats in my pocket for the dogs. They come over to me as soon as I wa.lk in the door. I'll go and do that now.

Evening all,
Well it's been a sun bathing day here too ,a lovely day with blue sky and not a cloud in sight .
Oh i say !! Frank in his altogether :-0 :-0 :-D :-D I think Shepherds pie always tastes nicer the next day ,i usually make a big one so there's enough for the next day ,we like brown sauce with it .
Gill you are good working on your tree ,i haven't looked at mine for ages ,i think i will do more in the winter . We don't have a bin for garden rubbish as were not far from the tip so we just load the car up , if we had a garden bin it would be a brown one and i think it's about the same price as you all pay .
Anne i like moussaka but i never make it , i suppose i could buy a ready made one , any thing for an easy life !! ,i think the last time i had one was when we were on holiday on one of the Greek islands and that a while ago . I had to smile at the filling of the hat !! :-D
DIL came this afternoon with Lacey and Lewis , he's now crawling and is into every thing ,i had to move the dogs bowl as he soon had a handful of dog biscuits and i moved the water bowl or he would have been playing in that . He then decided he would play with my Spider Plant ,pulling the leaves on that . He gives such a cheeky grin as if to say " can you see me i'am touching it " :-D
Looks like hubby will be rained off tomorrow ,heavy showers for us ,might see if i can twist his arm to go out for lunch . :-D

Mandy ,little Lewis sounds a right little monkey :-D :-D.I love it when babies know exactly when they are doing something they shouldn't be :-)They just know how to give you that look lol I love Moussaka .Have never made it myself though. The best one we have had is either from M&* or Sainsbu**.But when I lived and worked in Greece many moons ago that was the best :-D
I have just disposed of a body.Thomas was sat on the mat outside the backdoor with a headless rabbit.I got a torch and took the body over the road and threw it into the field .It has been a while since we had one of those. He has ignored his dinner and is now crashed out :-|
Pat has some nice pics on her FB :-D

I don't make mousakka anymore either now there are only two of us, I buy Sainsbury taste the difference one for two people, as I'm small eater Richard has 2/3 of it he has a good appetite. I do cook most things myself, I also make Shepherds pie with enough for 2 days unless we have visitors, I always make a large cauliflower cheese for the same reason.
Rain expected here tomorrow we haven't had a good downpour for quite a while when we came back from Hastings I had to top our bottom pond up.
Going to watch River at nine this evening.
I hope everyone has a good evening and a good nights sleep

Evening All,
Oh no Frank........I bet you've never covered your confusion so fast!!! :-0 I must admit OH tends to fling back the curtains and open the blinds in the lounge when he gets up and I often trot through in my birthday suit to put the kettle on while I shower. I'm sure the neighbour might be able to see my top half over the fence outside the window so I tend to hunch lower and use my hands as a bikini top as I whizz through. :-)
Frank, if you find letters ahead are deleted as you type, just press the key on your keyboard marked 'INS' once and you should find it's ok again then.
Well the clearance man that was recommended didn't get back to us so we think as it's half term here he may be away. A friend told me last week that they'd been recommended someone so I rang her today to get his details. We are meeting him at the house tomorrow morning to get a quote. He is highly recommended on his website so it sounds promising. He will also give us a price for things like the tvs, dvd players and probably the washing machine and tumble dryer which we were going to leave, if we want and then take them to auction. He'll even clean the house as well if we want him to. We both feel a bit relieved, even if it costs quite a bit more, its worth it to get a a heavy job done.
The fav carvery was on today and had lamb on the menu, lots of veg including their home made ratatouille which I love and CAULIFLOWER CHEESE!! We had a lovely raspberry and apple crumble after as well. We went in both cars and after OH went to the house to fetch the lawnmower which I've now advertised in the freeads. He also took some more things to the tip that can't go in a skip and topped up the wheelie bin again as it's collection day tomorrow. I went off to the garden centre and got some violas and ivy for the front wall pots and have planted those up. We were both feeling good with our progress today when the phone rang!!! It was the home to say FIL had fallen again and they'd called the paramedics as he was complaining of pain in his leg. OH is at a footie match now but just rang to say his dad is being taken to hospital so he will ring them in a while to see what's happening.:-S OH visited him yesterday as well and said he seemed so happy and agreeing with a new friend Ivy, that they loved it there and he was saying he'd never had such good friends in his life and that he was fine. The worry now is that after each fall he seems to become more frail.
I had a chuckle at Sarah topping up the whisky too........she soon worked that out didn't she! I must look up the website too Anne. I don't know much about art but like to look at it.
OH has sardines on toast every week (tinned ones) and loves them too. I like them, but have to pick out all the bones which is a right faff. I just can't bear the feel of them in my mouth and I've tried as I know they are good for your own bones!!
Oh Mandy it's a case of 'lookout there's a Lewis about' now he's on the move!! lol. I bet the other children have to keep things out of his way now.

Radio Luxembourg sent your ears funny with all the squeals and noises it made tuning it in. I seem to remember the pop music we'd find would fade in and out and need more twiddling with the knob to get it back.
That was nice surprise to get a doggie pack at the cottage Pat. I hope your kitchen is all done for when you get back. :-)
Jane, I have trouble with crumb coming off when I do fish.
NICE TO HEAR FROM YOU SHIRL AND I HOPE THE INJECTIONS ARE HELPING. <3 <3

It's been a lovely day here too all day.
Did the shopping and got home quite early but we just sat for a while with a cuppa and two cream choc eclairs each. I had had no lunch and neither had oh. He had cleared all the garden up and mowed the orchard and other grass.
How's Frank The Flash?? Did you go to the pub tonight fo rthe match?
Shirl says she can't get to the last page of the thread and has to go page by page. Now thats not funny when we have 2207 pages now!! :-0 :-0 :-0
I can't remember how I got it to go to the last page of the thread each time now but when I log in to the thread through my bookmarks I always get the latest page. Have to go back a page sometimes to make sure I hav'nt missed anyone.
I called into the garage on the way home as my bl**dy left side indicator had gone again. My little man fitted me another and I got him to check my tyres again and I now need tw new ones on the front. He also pumped the fronts up for me as one had 26lbs in and the other was worse!! :-0 I asked him how much for the bulb etc and he said whatever? I only had a tenny in my purse and offered him that and he said thats too much hav'nt you got a fiver. No said I so we left it to Thursday when he is going to fit the new tyres. Think he said they were about £47 each.

Morning all, Evening Kim.
Got home last night to some very bad news. My nephew had rang Ros to tell her that my brother Ted is in hospital with CANCER in his stomach and Liver. He wanted to speak to me, so will ring this afternoon and have a chat. As you know I haven't spoke to him for about 5 years after his treatment of me over my Stroke. "You have only had a stroke, pull yourself together, and get over it" was one of his comments. I could go on with more but don't want to bore you all.
Doctors this morning for Flu jab and testosterone injection. Then blood test on Friday.
Jan's grandson was taken to A & E last night with this very poorly tummy. They have kept him in, and he's on a drip to put some fluids back into him. Jan is going back over this morning to help Kerry, for how long I don't know.
Lashing with rain here this morning, and they say it will be for most of the day.
Cup of tea time. So will keep you posted

Sad when the affairs of in laws need your attention Anne. Ellen and I had the same situation when FIL died in a tragic accident and MIL was having to be in a care home. We sold their house to cover that.
Thank you again Mel for all your help.
Frank, my brother had bowel cancer a few years ago, but he's OK now <3

Morning all and evening Kim,
I have a very achey right hip today. It's raining and dull and there is no good news from anywhere it seems.
So sorry to hear your brother is ill Frank. It's such a cruel thing. I hope there is something that may be done for him. I remember when David's brother Ralph had it a few years ago. How much older is your brother?
I supose I shall have to do some ironing today as I certainly shan'nt be going in the garden. Ironing should keep me warm and if it dos'nt we shall have the heating on for the second time this autumn.

Good Morning Everyone
Sorry to hear about your brother Frank , my FIL had stomach cancer when he was in his 80's. He was very unkind with his comments on your stroke but maybe he regretted saying it afterwards. I am always very careful what I say to family and friends because once said you can't take it back. My mother was well known for her unkind & bitchy remarks [never said in front of my lovely Dad] and I have never forgotten any of them.
It's raining down here, Amy doesn't like getting wet so no walkies today yet. I was planning on doing some tidying in the garden today and sweeping up yet more leaves plus getting them out of the ponds so that's off the agenda as well.
Good luck with the dentist Jane.
Gill I also have Allens in my direct paternal line,. they all lived in Sussex
I suppose I had better try and get motivated, feeling very lazy today. Hoovering & dusting it's amazing how much housework the pets make
