Jane I hope Tom's Moose managed to escape. I t would have only given Thomas worms.. Unpleasant that the cat was the subject of arguments. We've had many cats down the years as you know. Sadly as our marriage progresses it some times seems as if arguing over the cats is what passes for conversation. but of course there's good days. I had the strangest dream last night. My left knee was working as it should. It was disappointing when I learned it wasn't. :-(

Paddy say to Mick, what do you think of the iphone6?
Mike replies, sure they're all innocent.

Nice one David. !! What a horrible reality to wake up to.

Jane's Thomas must have permanent worms. Mice and Rabbit appears to be his stable diet. Jane is always talking about his "presents" that he leaves outside the kitchen door.

Where has the morning gone, I don't seemed to have done anything and it's 1.30 pm

I had a nice Kipper for breakfast this morning, so won't be wanting much for lunch. Perhaps a coffee and a biscuit.

Still a horrible day here. The wind seems to have dropped but that continues drizzle won't go away.

Ros has showered and washed her hair, and is now under the dryer. Which is kicking up one hell of a row. !!

She seems to think she will go to choir practice this evening, as there aren't that many in it, and they have the concert on the 22nd December for the village. There is still a lot to learn, so if she doesn't go, she will miss out.

You won't believe it but the neighbour is hanging out more washing to that, that's already hanging on the line soaking wet. Do I call the MENTAL HOSPITAL ???

Has anyone been following Master Chef on BBC 2 at 8.00 pm. I found it very interesting last night. Having to butcher a rabbit into five joints and stuff two. You should have seen the mess some got into. Then they had to cook scallops three different ways, again it was quite funny to see some of their interpretations. I will be tuning in tonight. LOL

I see that they think they have got the ringleader of the Paris raids. Killed last night in the police raid. They seem to have tested his DNA. We will have to see. !!!

It's been a long time since I trusted the washing line and our weather, Before this injury I'd bae at the launderette twice a week for service wash and dry. While that was going on I'd then go get the shopping in to save Ellen's legs. Maybe buy some chips and watch the sea for a while'

Paddy and Mick are out walking. They come by a shop with a sign in the window saying Men's Suits $3.50 Trousers $1.50 Shirts $1.00 Paddy says to Mick let do all the talking, Then says to the girl behind the counter I'd like 15 Men's Suits, 10 pairs of Men's Trousers and as many shirts as you might have. The girl says You're from Ireland aren't you? Sure how did you know that?they ask.
This a dry cleaners she replies.

Jane Report 19 Nov 2015 17:01

Home from the hairdressers..My next appointment is on Xmas Eve.
Well I certainly can't see any sign of this mouse. But Thomas is still heading straight to where it vanished last night :-S :-S.I have had everything out and got the long handled brush and swept all underneath the welsh dresser and the wine rack.Just got a lot of dirt and cobwebs.I even turned up all the boots and shoes and gave them a good shake. So I am stumped now.I'm sure that it isn't there.
Thomas is wormed every 3 months so should be worm free.I have it marked up on the calendar for the next time he is due the neck drops. Also the Flea treatment.I daren't miss giving him the stuff otherwise as you say he will be full of worms and fleas :-S :-S :-S...It gives me goosebumps just thinking about worms.

Mel ,thanks for the cheque and Xmas card !. My first Xmas card LOL

Frank is Ros really going to go to Choir Practice with her cough !!!.She will be choking trying to sing and having coughing fits :-S

David I remember when you used to go to the laundrette and then get chips :-D
You say you would sit and look out at sea.I didn't know you were so close to the sea.

Chris has just arrived home from Cambridge so I'll go and have a nose and see what he has bought :-D :-D

Evening all,

We've had rain for most of the day ,still a bit breezy out but not as bad as the other day.
We nipped to Asda this afternoon ,got a few bits for the freezer ,i bought a nice coat for Chelsea and i found a nice black and white top i'll wear that when we go out for our christmas lunch with sister and BIL.

Ruby it sounds like you all had a good time ,what a lovely christmas present for yourself and all the girls ,perhaps you should treat yourself to a hot tub if it really eases your legs .

Poor Ros i hope she's feeling better ,i shouldn't think singing would help her poor throat though ,perhaps she will just sit and listen tonight .

Tomorrows the day Gill :-D :-D :-D who will be in the bath first !! :-D

Hows the tum now Mel ? have you eaten some thing that didn't suit ?

:-0 :-0 sounds as if you need a mouse trap Jane , you would have thought Thomas would have caught it ,he seems to have no trouble catching them outside .
No peeping through all Chris's bags :-D there might be some thing for you :-D

My sister has mice in the garage ,she found a nibbled potato in the sack of spuds ,she bought a jar of peanut butter for the trap ,she said they like it .
Imagine if she had put her hand in the sack and got hold of the mouse !! :-0

Jane

Jane Report 19 Nov 2015 18:26

Mandy apparently White Chocolate is what mice like :-D.That is what our mouse catcher man told us a few years ago.(milky Bar :-) )

I think Thomas had just grabbed that mouse outside our back door. There is a gap between the paving stones and the house and we have often seen Voles running there.I just said to Chris we need to fill that gap in.

I love the pic of Toby Mandy.I think you shared that one when I had Chester and they were both out in the snow.

Mel just in case you missed my last post Cheque arrived today thanks :-D :-D

MillymollyAmanda

MillymollyAmanda Report 19 Nov 2015 18:36

White chocolate ? i'll tell my sister if they haven't caught the mouse yet .

Yes poor old Toby ,it's getting easier to talk about him now, i just kept filling up all the time ,it was so sudden ,when we went out in the morning he seemed fine ,when we came home he got down from the chair he sleeps on and i said to him oh you are so wobbly today ,then all of a sudden his legs just gave out he was bumping into chairs and his eyes were jumping from side to side and he didn't seem to be focusing at all ,the vet thought it was his heart so we had to do the kindest thing for him. :-(

We have decided we will have another dog but not until the spring as we would like a puppy again and it will be easier to train in the better weather .

When I used the launderette at Blyth I'd leave the clothes to be washed and dried. Three shops past it was Broadway Chippy. I'd buy chips and perhaps a pie there. The quayside for The Port of Tyne was just 5 minutes away so I would eat them there and watch the river traffic. The River Blyth used to get a lot a Royal Naval vessels in it, fact the river has a Battleship Wharf, always something going on. After the quayside and the meal I'd have a wander around Blyth Market and from there to the shops.
Get most of the shopping then back to the launderette, collect the washing, then home. :-D

Yes saw it thanks Jane and yours is the only card I have sent so far so all you others will have to wait till I can get out to buy some more stamps!!!! I forgot them on wednesday.

The Last Kingdom tonight and Detectorists. Nobody has commented on Detectorists and its really good as there are some really funny moments. If you can look on bbc player and search for Detectorists. Its on BBC 4. but I do advise you to watch the first series first otherwise you won't get some of it.

Liz will be pleased the last kingdom is on as I know they watch it.

Mandy my tum is better now after two visits to my white friend. I think it may have been the minced beef and onion pie I had from Morrisons for lunch on the go yesterday as the windy bit started before we had our curry last night and I suppose that did'nt help either! :-S

Got a sort of stew on for tonight, Skirt, carrots, onion and I shall put new pots in later and may do peas with it as I don't think I hsould have sprouts which I bought to go with it.

Done it again forgot to post my post.

:-| :-| :-|

MillymollyAmanda

MillymollyAmanda Report 19 Nov 2015 19:01

Oh no Mel i'd steer clear of the sprouts :-0 and not to much onion either .

I didn't realize you were near the sea David although you had the car to get there then so how far is the sea from where you live now ?
Do you shop on line now or do you have a taxi to take you shopping ?

David Report 19 Nov 2015 19:45

I'd say (guessing) that the North Sea is about 13 miles from my bungalow in Newcastle. Blyth is less than half an hour up the road. Neighboring towns such as Ashington and Newbiggen and Bedlington and Morpeth were visited regularly.

It sounds like Thomas has found the mouse Jane, so you don't need to worry about it now. Look on the bright side, you cleaned everywhere out, so that's a job you won't have to do again for a while

Pleased to hear you're starting to feel better Mel.

I've caught up on lots of programmes I'd recorded today, The weather was dry up until an hour ago and the heaven's opened, it seems to have stopped again now. I feel for OH as he went to work on his pushbike today, so I hope it's not raining at his works when he leaves in 10 minutes.

I've got a terrible headache and sore throat today, so might have an early night tonight.

Just watching my soaps at the moment.

The Mouse is definitely still there. :-S :-S.Just found lots more fresh poop :-|.Even in one of James's shoes.(I won't let on ;-) )......So tomorrow we will get a humane trap .The trouble leaving Thomas to try and get it, is there are so many glass bottles, and that could be pretty awful if he was to break any .Cut paws :-S

Off to bed now to rest this hip.See you all in the morning.I hope the men arrive on time tomorrow Gill and that everyhing goes straight forward fitting the new boiler.

Evening All,

Another rainy day here but it did dry up this afternoon.

I would love sitting making things with you and Sandra Gill. :-) I want to make a little sleigh to go with some reindeer I bought in the sales last year. It sounds as if the timing will fall just right if your friend decided to buy your house and save you a few bob as well! No-one has rung us today about the keys to MIL's back door, but as OH said they have admitted to hiding the keys somewhere so have admitted they have lost them if hey can't be found. What bothers me is the position with the insurance if anything happened. OH will be chasing the agents up about it tomorrow.

That was a good idea Ruby and the river sounds great fun! I bet everyone really enjoyed your treat. What is Mahimahi?

Will read the other posts tomorrow as I need to find a bead pattern I need for tomorrow!!!! In fact I need to have a sort out in here next week.......things keep disappearing!! lol Night night All xx

Morning David morning all

Yes boiler day today, the surpervisor turned up about 5 minutes ago and is waiting in his van for the workman to turn up. They said they start at 8am and will be finished by 3pm.

Sorry to hear you've had a bad night. 40 winks will do you the world of good. I hope I don't fall asleep while they're here I was cleaning the kitchen till gone 2am, so much for my early night and then I was up again at 6.45am when the alarm went off, since then we've been moving Sandra's mattress and pulling all the curtains away from where they will be bleeding the rads later.

Going to get a cuppa now, before I can't get into the kitchen
See you all later.
