Good to hear you and the Hat are back Jane, shame about the hotel but at least Eddie Izzard was well worth the trip. He used to perform at the cellar bar before he became really well known he was also at the theatre a couple of times.

Timmy is about two, he was the one that adopted us and cost me a small fortune when he broke his front leg, just after we took him in, he is now insured and chipped. He is such a loving boy and a proper lap cat. I will have to try him with tin pilchards. Our first boxer Kim had these when she was a puppy and not eating very well, this was in the seventies, Amy is boxer number 6 we used to have them in two's

Yes you could say Jane!! What with all that colonoscopy business before Christmas, and now this, it was getting pretty scary!
Glad you enjoyed your trip to London. Eddie Izzard isn't for me, but I'd have loved the Soho bit !!
No supper for us tonight, still stuffed from lunch!!

I have some very sad news, Timmy took a turn for the worse this evening and the vet put him in an oxygen tent and did some tests he had quite a lot wrong with him fluid on the lungs very low glucose in his blood it all seem to happen so quickly as this morning he was out and about, His heart rate was also very slow.

Pleased to hear you had a nice time away Jane, pity about the hotel though. Hope you do take Hat away with you in May, we're all following it's adventures :-D :-D :-D

Glad to hear your chat with your SIL has helped Liz <3

How is FIL today Ann?

Hope Timmy is okay soon Anne, the pilchards should help until he sees the vet. Hope it's nothing serious. It can be such a worry when they can't tell you what's wrong. Give him a hug from Sandra and I :-)

The viewing today went well, although they're not in a position to put in an offer yet as they haven't sold theirs. We got some feedback and the man I thought was a builder, he's interested, he's looking at other properties and then he'll decide which ones he wants a second viewing on. I ask the Agent if he was a builder but apparently he's not, he buys properties and has loft conversions done, lives there for a while then sell them. I don't mind what he does so long as he wants a second viewing and then puts in an offer.

I'm getting tired again now, I don't know what's wrong with me lately, maybe it's to many late nights and not enough food. I've eaten well today though, so I just need to catch up on my sleep. At least I don't have to be up early tomorrow, so I can have a lie in which I'm looking forward to. Hope the weather is better tomorrow than it has been today, it poured down with rain just as I was showing the people around the garden. Talk about bad timing.

Signing out now
See you all tomorrow

Just noticed your post Anne. Is Timmy still at the vets? I really hope he'll be okay. I'm thinking of you both and keeping my fingers crossed for a speedy recovery <3 <3 <3

Anne

Anne Report 6 Feb 2016 22:06

I should have said poor Timmy had to be put to sleep as the vet thought his system couldn't take more.

Oh Anne i'am so sorry to read about your dear Timmy <3
It's so hard to lose a pet <3

Annx

Annx Report 6 Feb 2016 22:38

Oh poor Timmy Anne, I'm so sad to hear your news. It must be a shock with his decline happening so suddenly like that. I wonder what caused it.

Gill, I think all your busyness has caught up with you. Some good nights rest will help. It sounds more promising with the man who converts lofts so I hope he comes back for a second look. :-)

It sounds like you enjoyed yourself Jane even though the hotel was disappointing. We stayed somewhere once where they had to get the police to a chap who was trying to break a door down in the corridor where we were in the middle of the night. It was a Premier Inn I think and we got a refund as they guaranteed a good night's sleep. It might be worth you asking for a discount at least.

I'm being driven mad as Talktalk have transferred me to their webmail for emails now. It's horrendous as I've started getting 70-90 spam and junk emails every day!! The system goes at a snail's pace too and won't even load half the time. I keep 'unsubscribing' but it says it takes up to 14 days for some so I'm going to get over a 1000 more yet!!! :-S :-| :-|

Anne I am so sorry to hear about your poor Timmy. That was certainly quick. It is so horrid to lose a little friend like that. Sending you my love. <3

Gillx Report 6 Feb 2016 23:03

Sorry to hear of your sad news Anne. I thought that was the case with your message before mine, but didn't want to say incase I was wrong. My thoughts are with you at this sad time <3 <3 <3

Yes I think you might be right Ann, too many late nights. I was going to go to bed an hour ago but Sandra and OH wanted to watch a programme I'd recorded about Chester Zoo. Sandra now wants us to take her there when the warm weather gets here, so that's something to look forward too. It's not far away from where we live so will make a nice day out.
Sorry to hear you're having problems with Talk Talk, hope you can sort it out soon. Spam is bad enough at the best of times, but it sounds like almost 100 of them daily is a bit much, to say the least. If they repeat can you block them at least that will stop some of them coming through?

The programme has just finished so I'm off to bed now before they decide they want to watch something else

See you all tomorrow <3

Oh my goodness Anne, I am SO sorry to hear about your Timmy. Losing a pet is just heartbreaking as most of us on here know. My thoughts are with you all at this unhappy time.
It's teeming with rain here this morning, another horrible day! Here's my cuppa!!

Morning all

Sunny here, but quite cold.

I've finally got a day to myself, but now I don't know what to do with it. Might do a bit more of my family tree. The fella you contacted for me Mel has been in touch. Thanks again for passing on my email address to him.

What is everyone else up to today?

Mel Fairy Godmother

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 7 Feb 2016 10:17

Morning all and evening Kim,

WE HAVE SUNSHINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but last night we had torrential hailstones att imes. They made an awful row on the roof and the cars outside when I was still up. Nothing settled though, strange as they usuall stay for a little while.

May have a fiddle with my crafts today but nothing else planned apart from our BIG BREAKFAST. :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 7 Feb 2016 11:32

Where are you all?

Gillx

Gillx Report 7 Feb 2016 12:19

I'm still here Mel.

We had big hailstones as well the other night, it gave me such a fright with all the noise, thankfully it didn't last very long. At one point I thought my windows were going to crack it was that bad, but then it went as quickly as it came.

I think I've lent on a nerve in my left arm, I've got pins and needles all down it and it doesn't seem to want to go. It's such a nuisance, hope it goes soon as it's quite painful too :-(

Frank Report 7 Feb 2016 13:33

Afternoon my beauties including Kim,

We woke to sunshine, now it's peeing down. THANKS MEL !!! I see in the paper the south west has had it bad and could go on till Tuesday.

On the news the other night Liz, it was about the cuts of the bus service in MARMSBURY, I thought of you <3 <3 <3 Even though I know you don't use the bus's.

Jane Kings Cross is a definate NO NO for hotels. It's one or the worse areas of London for LADIES OF THE NIGHT and druggies. Perhaps CHRIS, thought you could earn a few bob while you were there :-D :-D :-D ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) <3 <3 <3 <3 :-0 :-

Hows the hat todat, worn out with all this travelling. You really aught to think of sending it on "OUR" holidays, we could keep tract of the miles he would cover.

Annx, Oh how I feel for you over Timmy. Everyone knows about my "OLD FRIEND" a black stay that we had for years. He went down hill very quickly. One morning I came out from the bedroom and he was just lying on the mat. I picked him up for a cuddle, and he died in my arms. Timmy won't be gone. I still see my friend popping in and out of the kitchen and wandering round the lounge. I am sure you will have very happy memories to help you through this heart ache. <3 <3 <3 <3

Mel, once again I haven't eaten anything this morning. Looking at the time, it's too late now. I will have to wait for dinner. Which is all prepared apart from the Cheese sauce, Yorkshire pudding and gravy. Topside of beef today. Ros bought a root of horseraddish yesterday, so I have gratted some to go with the beek today. I mixed it with vinegar, sugar ad mustard. I don't know what it will be like. :-0 :-0 :-0 I hav a jar pf readymade if I need it :-D :-D :-D ;-) ;-) ;-)

I read for an hour last night when I went to bed at midnight, and slept until 9.55 am Best nights sleep for a few days.

Gill, Good luck with any feedback you migh get on Monday. No more news from the woman and daughter ??

Liz, is Cassie finished working this year.?? I am sure she enjoyed her few "days at work" is there more training sh has to do. ?

Ann and Mandy, It seems you get simular weather to Jane and I. The rain has stopped here now, and the sunshine is out. How long for, WHO KNOWS. !!

Must get on with my Choirs.

Ros was going to sew the quilt around the edge with gold thread, but it keeps breaking in the machine, so she having to do it BY HAND. It will take HOURS AND HOURS.
