Afternoon all

Lovely blue sky here with lots of sunshine ,we still have the wind though ,family came this morning and as they went there was a gust and it nearly knocked little Lacey off her feet !!

I remember Mum grating the horseradish ,it seem quite strong ,did it make your eyes water Frank ? i think she just grated it and added some cream .
Did your seeds arrive that i sent Frank?

Not doing much today ,we have started another jigsaw so might do a little on that but other wise it's just a lazy day for us .

Afternoon Everyone

Oh Anne I have just seen about poor Timmy.I am so sorry :-( :-( He was such a young cat too .Did the Vet have any idea at all as to what may have been the cause? It was just so fast.I do hope you are ok today <3

Ha Ha Frank.I can just see me touting for business on one of the corners there. There were some dodgy looking characters for sure.Hannah just walked me along swiftly just in case I got into any conversations (which is often the case with me) I am too friendly sometimes. But I would rather be like that than some miserable old bi***.

I was so tired last night I thought I would go up and watch casualty on my laptop in bed.I think I saw the first 5 minutes..So I caught up with it this morning.I do like that programme.
I am waiting for Happy Valley to start this week. That will be good.

So what is this weather doing.Chris says there is another storm on the way.It has been lovely sunshine for most of the morning.I got some shirts out on the line and within 15 minutes we had a shower ,so they are back in and waiting to go on hangers on the clothes horse in th big bathroom.James hates his shirts going in the tumble drier.Fussy beggar.

Hat is hanging up once more on the coat stand next to a summer hat Frank.Probably having a discussion as to where they might be off next LOL

Frank I wish I had decided to do a nice roast today like you.But it is Sausages,Mash,Spring Greens, and oven cooked baby carrots, baby courgettes, baby leeks and mushrooms...Lashings of gravy.I will have to do a roast in the week .James will be on his way home from Jess's now .I hope he isn't expecting Roast lol

Well I should have left those shirts out a bit longer. It was just a little shower.
The tap in the kitchen is still 'leaking' not dripping now but dribbling a bit from the joint bit
:-S..So it will be another call out.Toilet is tickety boo :-D

Thomas is in and out like a YoYo today.I have shut him out now .
Anne will the other 2 cats miss Timmy?Or do you think they will be happy with just each other .I am so glad that Amy seems so much better now.

Gill I think if you have time to yourself today you might just take the chance to relax and recharge your batteries :-D

Anne

Anne Report 7 Feb 2016 15:10

Thank you for all your kind thoughts over Timmy.

The vet's opinion was he had a total organ failure and couldn't have been well for sometime. We always noticed that he slept a lot and didn't play like the other two even though he was so young but he always enjoyed his food and cuddles.

I think Toby has been looking for him today but Shadow is carrying on as normal these two are brother and sister but don't take a lot of notice of each other.

I still feel very tearful as it was such a shock, didn't sleep to well last night as every time I woke up it all came back to me.

The girls and their dad are here today which helped a lot. I did them roast beef, Yorkshire puddings etc

Oour sunshine has gone. I suppose you lot pinched it and sent me your rain and wind!
You rotten lot.......The wind here is cold today too.

Mandy the wind here sometimes makes it very hard for me to walk against it so I don't suppose little Lacey stand a chance of not getting blown over or away.

Had our big breakfast and now I am going to have another go at my craft.

Yes Frank, Cas has finished her first shooting season, and she's done pretty well. We hope to sign up for some agility courses this summer. They are wonderful for obedience as well as for exercise.
The weather is deteriorating rapidly here, and another storm is on its way, so we've been doing various outside jobs in lieu of tomorrow being horrible!
Just finished lunch, roast beef, leeks in white sauce, roast pots and Yorkshire puds, and it was delicious! OH having a snooze while I pack the dishwasher finish the various chores, and then sit down! This old wind is surely getting up.
Yes we saw about the buses Frank or rather lack of them!! To go to Tetbury (the dentist!) by bus, you would have to get a bus to Malmesbury, then change for Chippenham, then change again for Tetbury!!! Good thing we don't have to use public transport!!
Hope you are feeling a bit better today Anne.!

Anne I was going to say it sounded like total organ failure. It will have been such a shock for you and I am so sorry :-(
Liz I bet Cas will love agility classes :-D :-D She will need something like that after all her excitement with the 'shoot's '
I think your bad weather might just arrived here now.It is not looking too good :-S :-S
We are certainly getting through the alphabet now with all these storms !!!! What is the name for this one.Is it Irene??

MillymollyAmanda

MillymollyAmanda Report 7 Feb 2016 16:25

Afternoon All,

How it rained last night!! The river has flooded all the fields along the main road so I hope we don't get any more.

Well, what a twerp I am!!! Yesterday (in the rain) I went to post Mandy's birthday card and also my bowel test kit. This morning I was lying in bed and suddenly realised I hadn't put a stamp on Mandy's card!!!!! First it was Frank's and now this is the second card in 3 months I haven't stamped!!!! :-0 :-0 I remember thinking the test kit didn't need a stamp as it had a prepaid envelope, but forgot about the card needing one. Soooo Mandy please ignore anything that tells you to collect something from the Post Office as I have now posted another to you and I don't want you to have the expense of fetching it and paying the charge like Frank had to!!! Typical, OH thought it was hilarious and said it was a good job I hadn't posted the other packet to Mandy with my samples in!!!!!! lol.

Frank I have it in hand to recompense you when I send some things to do with your family tree. :-) :-)

Mandy, I got your email but couldn't open the pic either. I thought it must be to do with all the problems I mentioned with my emails the past few days but see Jane couldn't open hers. I can just imagine little Lacey nearly being swept off her feet with the wind!

Mel you must be getting on well with your craft things now. I hope there will be a pic. :-)

Annx

Annx Report 7 Feb 2016 17:05

I've managed to open it this time Mandy! :-D Isn't he a big boy now and he looks like he only just made it to your lap before he dropped off!! The girls have grown a lot too.

Jane, when I told OH your hotel was near King's Cross station he pulled a surprised face and said it would be rough around there!! lol. :-) The last time we went to London we stayed at a new hotel next to the station and they did a fire drill in the middle of the night!! We all stood outside looking uncomfortable in our various night attire. OH and I had grabbed our coats as we went so were revealing a lot less than some!

Jane

Jane Report 7 Feb 2016 17:28

Ann what are you like !!!! No stamp again LOL Gawd Mandy would get a shock with your sample .Not the best birthday card in the world ! :-S
Isn't Lewis a big boy !.I managed to open the second email pic.He looks so tall.

Ann I was talking to Fitz today and he has been to Birmingham to a concert .While he was there he went to the Art/Museum and said they have the exhibition of the Staffordshire Hoard (?sp) ..The finds that were found by someone with a metal detector a few years ago.He said it is amazing.I just wonderd if you might be interested .

Gillx

Gillx Report 7 Feb 2016 18:35

I got the pic Mandy, he looked so content sleeping on your lap, bless him <3

Hope you are feeling a little better Anne, it takes time especially when you weren't expecting it. Having family around will help.

I don't know Ann, fancy forgetting the stamp, I can see how you did it though with not having to put a stamp on the other one.

My arm is really playing up now, I'm not sure what I've done but it's very painful. I've been resting it all day, but it doesn't seem to have made a difference.

Mel Fairy Godmother

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 7 Feb 2016 18:41

Gill is it your elbow? Perhaps you have tennis elbow after all that filling you did on the ceiling.

MillymollyAmanda

MillymollyAmanda Report 7 Feb 2016 19:00

LOL Ann that would have been some thing different for my birthday :-0 :-D

I shall ignore any thing from the post office and gingerly open the envelope when it arrives just in case they are mixed up and i think you've sent me chocolates :-0 :-D :-D :-D LOL that is so funny :-D

Yes Lewis is getting a big boy now ,he just climbed up on my lap and within seconds he was fast asleep ,i wish i could just drop off like that .
Hubby said he had two good cushions to put his head on :-D

I should think it's all the stretching up that you did on the ceiling that's made your arm painful Gill ,have you got any thing to rub on it or any pain killers ?

Winds strong out again i can hear the gusts , should be high winds down your way tomorrow Mel and for Fiona too ,looks like we'll be sandwiched in the middle of it with winds of about 40/50 miles an hour .

Annx

Annx Report 7 Feb 2016 19:53

LOL Mandy, OH still keeps chuckling. :-D :-D I'm beginning to think I'm capable of ANYTHING these days!! lol. It's not just what I do either it's what I say.......OH says I'm not fit for polite company. We were putting a duvet cover on a spare duvet that was awkward last week and OH fell on the bed holding his sides when I said 'to be fair I don't have it off very often'. He managed to gasp 'don't go shouting that out in public'. lol.

Call the Midwife now and then War and Peace.....great!
