Enjoy your lunch with Fitz Jane :-)
So you've had more hail Mel? I've just noticed that the weather is going to go really cold at the weekend, so I'll be staying in and keeping warm ;-) ;-) Love the pictures you sent, especially the one of the moon, that would make a lovely framed picture if you could get it enlarged, wouldn't it?
Just catching up with a few programmes with Sandra at the moment. I'm starting to get a bit bored with not being able to use my arm properly, hope it gets better soon as I have a bit more filling to do on the kitchen ceiling. Luckily it's not much but i don't want to do it until my arm stops hurting for fear of making it worse.

Come on who's guilty ??? I had a card through the door this morning to say no postage had been put on a letter, It will cost me £1.50 to collect it, or they will send it back to sender in a couple of weeks. So if anyone has sent anything it will be coming back to you ;-) ;-) ;-) I can't afford these £1.50 for mail to be collected.
Nice photo's Mel, What are the flowers for ?? I loved the fairy at the bottom of your garden. and your little friend.
Gill, Ros never got round to doing the plants. She has been busy sorting out the conservatory.
The sun is really warm behind glass. Will still have blue sky's and no wind. If it stays dry I will attempt to cut the lawn tomorrow, it's getting quite long.
A lad who worked at the Garden Centre that closed down has started doing gardening on hos own, so might get him round to give everywhere a once over,. It will be a help to Ros when she starts the garden proper. I haven't decided yet if I am going to do Veg. this year. I will do my runners as usual. I might try growing Dahila's instead.
Hope everything went well at the Solicitors Ann, and that you enjoyed your carvery.
I think I sent you my Photo, of me in Uniform when I was in the RAF in 1958. I haven't changed that much, still a handsome young Man. ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) :-D :-D :-D :-D or perhaps an old codger :-( :-( :-(
Ros is cooking tonight, so I have an evening off. !!

I'm back Fitz has just gone.We had Pea and Ham Soup ,Pate and Brie with a lovely loaf of bread.Plus a few glasses of wine :-D Chris is at the cinema in Northampton watching Dads Army.I will be interested to see what he thought of it.
Thomas !!!!! has brought home the first big kill of the year.A half eaten baby bunny :-S.He brought it into the back porch and I could make out through the patterned glass door that 'he had something'.He eats them down as far as the chest and then brings the rest back .So I picked the remains up by the back legs and took it out the front and threw it over into the field across the road.(It was still quite warm :-S ) The sun was really warm earlier, but now the temp is really dropping fast,so I have just lit the fire.
I think most of us girls love a man in uniform :-D.Living in Plymouth in my teens it being a port I had several uniformed boyfriends. My favourite were the Royal Marines. I did go out with a Fireman once. Mel I remember that escalator that caught fire....Your OH must have seen some terrible things n his time in the fire service..How great that he managed to save the life of that young girl ready to throw herself off that building..
My Kindle has died on me :-S.It has gone completely PHUT :-S..So I have had to order a new Paperwhite this morning.I was worried about all the books I have that I haven't read yet.But Chris says not to worry as he can sort it from Amazon and download them onto the new one .I will be leaving that job to him LOL.
Yes Frank you know my road. The house next door that may be demolished if planning goes through is a detached bungalow.....Not the neighbour Mel that you were thinking of.I honestly can't think that the plans will be given to go ahead.(fingers crossed). We will just put our objection and reasons in and that is all we can do for now.
Ann is this the FINAL papers now ?What a relief it will be for you both. How is FIL now...Has he been sent back to the care home? (I may have missed posts) just in case you have said.I do find it extremely frustrating after doing a post and then seeing that several posts have popped up without me seeing lol
Just going to have a look at your pics Mel

Afternoon all,
Been a nice day lots of bright sun shine .
Well i sent you the seeds Frank did you get them ? i know i put a stamp on as i sent three envelopes and they were the last three second class i had .
I have a nice pile of cards here ready for tomorrow ,we are going out for lunch and then later going on to sons for birthday cake . If my poor old Toby had made it to today he would have been sixteen today :-(
A nice selection of photo's Mel , what tiny little toadstools how ever did you spot them , i had a spider in the car and it had lots of babies ,they were crawling all over the back seats !!
New fence panels and posts came today ,we're now waiting for the chap to come and look at the grill on the cooker ,i cooked some thing for lunch today so we'll have a sandwich later ,i didn't want to have the bottom oven on when he came so it made the top oven to hot for him to touch .

I haven't sent you anything Frank, so it wasn't me :-S :-S It's gone very dark and cloudy now so I think we might get some rain soon, which is a pity as OH wants to cut the grass too, but says it's still to wet. I'm sure Ros will do the plants when she's ready. It's a good idea to get the lad in to help her, with your garden being so big, it's a lot of work for her, she'll be so grateful of your thoughtfulness <3 and it will help you too if you decide to do your veg.
I don't think I could pick up a dead rabbit either Jane especially with it still being warm, but I suppose you're used to it now ;-) ;-) Your lunch sounded nice with Fitz. Sorry to hear about your kindle, good job Chris knows how to sort out your books for you.
Sounds like you have a nice brithday planned Mandy. What sort of birthday cake are you having? It always seems to be chocolate in our place. The girls started it and now we all have a chocolate birthday cake yum yum :-)

Mandy, The seeds haven't arrived, so it could be the stamp came off in the post. Look out for a return, if you put a return address on it. I had fofgotten all about the seeds.
We were talking in the pub about "DAD'S ARMY" and most were of the opinion that it just wouldn't be the same. One chap had seen it and said the cast did an excellent job to recreate the original.
Jane, Thomas is just the type of cat who is a born KILLER. I just hope he stays away from the Ridge Back. ho won't last long, if he gets hold of him :-( :-( :-( Have he got a BIG BELL round his neck ??
We have a beatiful sunset here tonight, and a really clear sky, so I expect a cld night for most of us.
Have booked the MOT this afternoon for the 23rd at 12.00 Noon. Fingers crossed all is well. !!

I have seen a few baby bunnies squished on the road in the last few days.So I am guessing there are going to be lots around now :-S.Juat hope they all don't end up here half eaten :-S :-S.Thomas has been out ALL DAY.His breakfast is still sitting in his dish.Must have a very full tummy :-S Gill I have no problem with picking something dead up by the back legs(as long as it is not bigger than a rabbit).I just don't look too close.Grab the legs and then do the quick walk out the front and throw over into the field .
Frank you have got to go and collect that letter. You know you want to know who it is from lol It's not me.

What happened there Jane, your post came through twice but at different times? :-S :-S I had visions of you holding the dead bunny at arms length while going across the road to throw it away. There must be quite a few over there by now ;-)
Have you had your cooker done yet Mandy? Are you having a new fence put up, you mentioned panels and posts earlier? That's something we'll need to do if we take the garage down, then of course it'll need painting to match the rest. There's always something, isn't there?
Yes I would collect your parcel Frank, you'll only wonder what it was if you don't :-)
Off to sort dinner out now, I've just noticed the time. Wondered why I was starting to feel hungry :-D :-D

Cooker man has been he has to get the grill part and come back to fit it .
The wind blew the fence Gill and it has got quite a wobble to it now and the posts are rotten , we knew we would have to get new panels this year as the old ones have been up for a long time , son said he would come and put them up some time as hubby just carn't do it now with the pain in his hip ,he hasn't heard any thing from the hospital about an appointment yet just the letter from them saying they would ring him to sort out the appointment date.
Frank i wouldn't bother about the letter it will be the seeds i'am sure , i sent them a good time ago ,Mel and Gill have had theirs quite a while and they were all posted together .

Mandy ,I hope not.As long as I can walk ok I will not be up for a replacement.I think it will probably be a discussion with the GP as to how bad the hip is and what I want to do about it.I think I can manage fine for a long time unless something drastic happens.
Mandy it is so sad to see these poor creatures washed up on the beaches near you.Was the Minke the one that had already died but has been washed by the tides a bit further along the coast?
Hi David I tried charging the Kindle ,but there was not even the little charging light showing.I always kept it well charged as I read it every night. It has just died. Had an email just now to say the new Kindle will be here on Friday :-D

Yes it washed up dead in Sheringham then the tide has been taking it round the coast and it's now in Weybourne , i don't know how people can go down to the beach and see the poor things floundering and thrashing in the water , it's not some thing i would want to see :-(
Jane you'll know when the hip needs doing ,hubby was so glad to get his first one done and get rid of the pain , but it seemed to just go all of a sudden .

Oh Mandy I'm so glad it wasn't me again!!! :-)
I wouldn't want to touch dead things either.....they might have fleas or maggots! I'd be using a shovel! lol.
Well it's been quite a day. We had a phone call from the hospital before we went out to confirm FIL would be discharged to the home today. We then called at the house before we went to the solicitors just to check things were still ok and had a chat about FIL with one of the neighbours who came out. Then we went and signed all the paperwork and then the solicitor said when were we looking to complete. She hesitated and then said she'd just had the buyer's solicitor on the phone and that they'd been ringing every day and could we complete TOMORROW!!!!! Of course we said 'YES'........ then had to go back to the house to read the meters. Tomorrow OH will go over again to drop the keys into the estate agent and that will be IT!!!! Hurrah!!!!
At teatime we had a call from the home to say FIL was back there following his discharge. The home had his discharge papers and said they were surprised and shocked to see FIL had had a heart attack brought on by his pneumonia!!! Well, that was a shock and news to OH too!!!!! Every day OH visited and asked staff at the hospital they just talked about his chest infection, oxygen levels and possible bladder infection. Last weekend they told him to ask on Monday for the up to date position when the doctor had done the rounds, which he did, but was still told the same. What a disgrace for the hospital to not tell OH how serious it was!!
Did anyone see Supervet last night with the lovely Noel. He is so dedicted to his work. That normally gentle Great Dane nearly had his hand off!
I've had over 90 emails today but didn't get Mel's so can someone send it to me please.
I think I'll be off to bed soon. I've been sneezing like Frank and have the start of a headache.
