Stay vigilant Annx. In these sorry times there's always chancers taking advantage. Losing or changing a home is as stressful as a death in the family. So OH and FIL will both be feeling it. Endeavour

Just having one of my chocs They're Belgian, so very delicious! My flowers are in a little jug on our sideboard, so they look really pretty. I remember when OH had power of attorney for his mother when she was in a home in Devon. We had one or two muddly moments particularly after she died and were very glad when everything was cleared up, so I can well understand that it is a pretty wearing time for you Ann. War and Peace is one thing Ann, not sure I could face Magna Carta!!!! Anybody watch Trapped last night? It's a cracker of a series, can't wait till next Saturday!

My oh My, you have been busy chatting today. I have felt like a lorry load of SH## today. Mid morning I had a throbbing headache, then the shakes started, I have been having hot dlushes all day. I am now in shorts and bare chested, and still feeling hot.
Gill the reason you bit your tongue, is that you are always wagging it. LOL <3 <3
I have no idea what's up with Val's laptop. I would imagine she just can't do things on it. and needs to be shown.
Ros is at the funeral tomorrow afternoon, so I will pop round then.
You are a bit to far away for me to adopt you Gill. Even though you are the right sort of age ;-) ;-) ;-) What would I do with a young woman ???? Don't answer that JANE.
I remember when my brother Bill would go to Covent Garden Market and buy box's of Daffs and Tullips, and sell them outside the local railway station. The things he did to make a few bob. !!! But did very well on Valentines day and Mothering Sunday. Which reminds me, one Mothering Sunday Ros and I were driving to Conrad's when he lived by Rutland water. We passed a roundabout near Corby where there was three children picking all the Daffs from the roundabout. I blew my hooter, but they didn't blink an eyelid, and just carried on. ;-) ;-)
Mandy if you are getting the White stuff, it's a fair bet we will get some to
When Ros came in I made her A COT. She sat and had it with a biscuit. We had dinner about 5.00 pm. Everything went in the D/W. tonight. She's now sitting reading her Take a Break
The Mower made far more than I was prepared to pay. I have found another one which is an ex Demo. Been used Twice. I have put a bid in so will wait and see. (GOOD GAME THESE AUCTIONS !!!) I have 13 views on my one, so hope someone makes an offer.
I had a box of Thorntons from Ros this morning. Last week I ordered one of these "SPIDER" wheel braces, in case we ever need to get a wheel off. SO I GAVE HER THAT AS A PRESENT THIS MORNING ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) <3 <3 <3 <3 What a good husband I am. :-D :-D :-D With that I will leave you to have a nice evening. BYE

No I didn't watch it Liz. I always meant to read war and peace but never got round to it, so I'm glad it was on TV as I thoroughly enjoyed it.
You do have pretty places to walk by you Anne. It sounds like Amy is in her element mixing with people and the other dogs on her walk.
The dinner went down well, the lamb just fell off the bone and melted in the mouth, it was followed by a chocolate sponge pudding and chocolate sauce. We're all full up now. I'm just having a nice glass of wine now and relaxing. Yes Sandra did help with the dinner, she peeled the potatoes for me and then did all the dishes on her own, saying it was her treat for her mum and dad.....bless her.
Sorry to hear about your FIL Ann, hope he feels better soon. Let's hope the hospital let your OH know what's going on this time. Yes it does make you wonder how these people get hold of your address or even your mobile number. I often get people ringing me and I haven't got a clue how they got hold of my name and number. There must be a list somewhere that people are selling, it only takes you to give one person your details and then everyone seems to know it.
Going to watch Eastender with Sandra now, I recorded it the other night and she wants to watch it before it comes back on again tomorrow.

Frank, OH was at Blisworth yesterday at the match. He said a chap of 66 who lived in the nearby houses had a good old chat with him and waved him off in the car when he left. :-)
Liz, luckily it was only a book about the Magna Carta and not the actual thing!! lol I wonder how long that would take to read!
That looks a lovely mature forest Anne. :-)

Good morning everyone, Evening Kim.
Yes wall to wall sunshine here as well, We had a heavy frost last night, but all gone now, except in the shade.
Mel we have crystals all along our lounge window. They catch the sun in the morning, and the colours dance around the walls and ceiling.
Glad you had a nice lamb dinner Gill. I always cook mine covered on a low heat for upto three hours. That gaurantees the meat will fall of the bone. I always sprinkle a Mint marinade over it before going in the oven. yum, yum.
When I get these phone calls I ask "where did you get my number and who authorised you to call me" ??? Thet tend to stumble to answer you, so I pressure them for an answer. After all it's their call !!! So I try to keep them as long as possible. The times that these operators think they have got s SALE. One morning a girl rang about a problem with my computer. I said. "Thanks for ringing, I do need some help" She thought she had covered her mouthpiece and called out "Peter I've got one here" Little did she know ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)
Ros ended up win a green bin full of rubbish off the garden. It's geen bin tomorrow, so the bin men will be surprised to see that much, as most bins are almost empty.
She now has the ironing board out, with a big basket of ironing to do. She's still in her dressing gown, as per usual when she irons in the mornings :-D :-D :-D
I thought VERA went a bit dead midway though last night. In fact it's getting to the stage that I am thinking of looking for something else to watch on Sunday Evening.
I had better get in the bathroom, so as it's clear for Madam when she finishes her ironing.

Frank I seem to think all these longer running things seem to go flat in the middle lately. Midsomer Murders is the same on Wednesday.
There is still ice on the water thats gathered in things outside. We had a young male deer in the back garden behind the house who stayed and ate for a long while until I went round there to feed the girls and he slowly went through our pallet gate into the trees over the back. The wind must have blown the pallet down as it is only propped up with a post. Sometime the forest walk comes through there on the way back to the village hall.
Must get the washing out as its just finished.

Afternoon All,
Your mother's hair was virtually the same colour as my sister's David. What colour eyes did she have? My sister's are grey. Remember this one......not subtle as you say!
You'll wonder where the yellow went When you brush your teeth with Pepsodent!!
Yes I have thought the same about Midsommer Murders too and abandoned watching one or two.
The window cleaner came this morning, for once on his proper day. His charges are going up to £9 next time, 5 years ago it was only £6. :-S Still, there are 8 outside windows and the conservatory isn't small so it isn't bad really.
We've just had a carvery at the Toby down the road followed by icecream with toffee sauce. OH had to get ice out of the water feature pot and the water butts this morning. He's gone to see his dad now and is wondering how he'll be. The phone rang twice this morning and each time we are expecting it to be the hospital.
I see OH's book is about the making of the Magna Carta Liz and is only an inch thick. He likes Dan Jones' books and does read some obscure things!! lol.
I'm off to the bank next and to do a few more errands including getting a list of stuff for OH.
Oh Mandy, it looks like you have had enough snow to make Sandra envious!!
I hope you are able to sort the laptop problem Frank........I shall know who to come to if I get stuck in future!! ;-)

Afternoon all,
The car was quite white with snow when we went to bed last night and it looked as if we had had a little more in the night but with the sun this morning it's all gone now ,we have had a few light flurries but the last shower was rain now the suns out again .
Sounds as if Ros had a really good day out in the garden if she has managed to fill the bin . We are still watching the old series of Vera that we recorded we haven't seen any of the new ones yet ,i thought Mid Summer Murders was a bit slow ,i deleted a couple of them we had recorded as we couldn't get into them .
Oh ice cream and toffee sauce that sounds nice Ann ,hope OH can find some one to talk too today about his dad ,remember years ago when they use to put your notes at the end of the bed and you could take a sneaky peak .
I feel better today ,last night i had a horrible humming noise in my head it was so bad i couldn't even hear the television properly but this morning it's much better ,i wondered if i was getting hubby's cold and it was my tubes that were blocking up .
As it's half term week tomorrow little Katie is coming for the day ,so it will be a making day ,she want to make cakes ,Chocolate Rice Crispie cakes ,like little nests with the eggs on the top.

I remember the Fairy Liquid advertisement - get a dishwasher is the answer, then hands don't have to do dishes!!! Pink Camay too! My S.Father was heavily into amateur radio, and he made our first TV in 1950! It was a local wonder and friends came to watch open mouthed!! Of course it was only BBC then from Alexandra Palace, ITV and advertisements came later. Who remembers Muffin the Mule?!! Really lovely day here, bright sunshine but cold. Son rang this morning and is coming to see us tomorrow. L and the children will be here on Thursday, so a nice family week for us. :-D Washing is drying on the line, first time for ages!! OH is having a snooze, then he's off out to look at a fallen tree with a friend! Not quite sure why, but it keeps him busy and happy!!! Better sort out that washing, then back to W & P!!

I remember when we used to get free samples of Fairy Liquid in small plastic bottles. Mum would say there are two families in this house so she would get two free samples. I had the empty bottles for my fairy house up the garden. The fairy house was made out of fish boxes that nan would bring back from the fish hsop owned by her brother and his wife Frank Martin and Edie. Frank knows the shop in Woodford Bridge.
We got other samples through the door two. I think one may have been a small soap but can't remember what else.
