Oh has seen the Flying Scotsman in a station in Kent once a long time ago he told me tonight.

Oh will make me a table when the weather turns a bit warmer and dryer. He has to sort out what wood he has.

My left hips been playing up again today after I stood for a while doing the ironing.

Frank I bought some more of those daffs in Morrisons this week. Not bad at 50p a pot. I also bought three Hyasinths in a pot for £1.25 which I did'nt think was bad.

Hav'nt seen Jericho yet as we have been watching Black Sails on the Amazon telly stick thing.

Gillx Report 25 Feb 2016 23:06

Enjoy your cuddles with Freya tomorrow Jane.

Hope your hip is better soon Mel. Good news your OH is going to make you a table :-D
You got some good bargains with your flowers, does the 50p a pot mean it has the bulbs in the pot too, if it does then you'll have daffs each year, so definitely a bargain? Your OH is lucky seeing the Flying Scotsman, did he take any photo's, it would be something nice to keep if he did?

Just took my last antibiotic of the day, so I'm off to bed now

See you all tomorrow

Yes 50p for a pot of bulbs showing flower buds. I buy a few each year to put up on the patio outside the back door by my fairy fountain. The ones I have bought before are now in a little window box planter and are flowering away nicely. I put a pot on mums grave each year.

Morning Girles and Guys, Evening Kim,

Mel, Ros has bought so many of those pots, some crocus, lots of daffs and primroses.
They are all lined up ready to be put in. She has just come back from a blood test. The nurse told her the other day that her kidneys were depleting. When she asked the doctor, she said that northing was wrong. !!!

Jan has been trying to contact us, and has even rang Harvey to check on us. She was worried that we wern't allright. He on the phone to her at the moment.

Morning all,

Sunnyish this morning but still very cold. I would rather it like this than the torrential rain and wind. I get stuck in the mud in the chicken run going through the gate and nearly lose my boots but on a frosty morning its not so bad.

Bet the front garden looks a picture Frank with all the work Ros has done on it. Lots of our daffs are out in the orchard and the crocus. The snowdrops are nearly over now but still showing some colour. Where oh cleared out the back of the bungalow where the chickens used to be he scraped with the digger. Last year a couple of daffs came up but they were blind. I don't know where they came from but this year I have five at least flowers on them and they are yellow with a lovely orange center. I may just have to pick them and enjoy them indoors as they are in a place I don't go.

Hi Everyone! Dull old day here and chilly!! Ian has just come back from our GP and he was very reassuring about this cancer recurrence. Apparently the cells will still be miniscule, and no doubt we shall have to have various tests to pin point the problem, after that it should be easy enough to zap permanently! So we both feel a lot happier! :-D
I've been 're jiggling my family tree on Genes. I have to be honest it is a much easier tree to work on than ancestry, so I'm glad I kept all my notes that I made years ago!
Jane, I hope you have a nice day with your visitors and Gill that you feel better today.
Our snowdrops haven't done very well this year as a certain naughty person seems to have dug most of them up last summer!! The miniature daffs that had a fence round them seem to have fared better!!

Frank Report 26 Feb 2016 11:41

Sorry I dashed off,

I hope you have and nice day with the "family" Jane. Don't spoil the baby too much !!!

Have sent a couple of photo's. The new mower works a treat. I have given the back lawn it's first cut on a high setting. I'm just about Bugg##ed now. Got six loads off it. I will trim the edges tomorrow, and try to do the front one as well.

Mel, Ros is busy out the front still. putting more iris's in and daffs. it will look a treat when they all come out. She does love her garden ;-) ;-) ;-)

I treated Tony to his beer last night for taking Ros to and collect the car. He never even said "THANK YOU" which I thought was a bit rude.

Nice morning here also apart from being a bit cold. I found that my hands were cold, so dug out some gloves.

How is the throat now Gill. that you have ben taking the medicine, clearing up I hope.

Hows FIL Ann. ?? Did G remember to ask about the bed safety??

I am going toget a coffee and sit down for an hour. My left knee and right hip are throbbing like mad. :-( :-( :-(

Gillx

Gillx Report 26 Feb 2016 12:47

Afternoon all

Nice and sunny here so hopefully it'll stay that way for the viewings later on.

I love your lawn Frank, the first cut is always the hardest, so the next one shouldn't be so bad. Glad to hear your new mower is working okay for you. So Ros is back in her garden, she'll have it looking as lovely as she did last year in no time :-D
That wasn't very nice of Tony to not even say thank you.......how rude.

I guess Cass need some more gardening tips Liz....mainly, the flowers look better if they're left in the ground ;-) ;-) I'm so pleased things have turned out okay for Ian and that you don't need to worry so much now. It must be such a relief for you both :-) :-) <3 <3

I had another coughing fit in the night so was up at 6.30am again, at least I could take my first antibiotic so it won't be to late taking it tonight. I was tired and wanted to go to bed at 10.30 last night but had to wait a little longer because I had to take my tablet, if I can take the first one early enough then I can go to bed early if I need to.....well that's the plan anyway ;-) ;-)

Going to sign out now and get this place ready for the first viewing at 3pm, the second one is 5pm so I won't be back here until after that.

The sun is still shinning so hopefully it'll stay that way, hope it's nice weather for everyone else.

See you all later

Frank don't overdo it. The grass round the edges will still be there tomorrow.

Hope Gill's meds have started to kick in and she is feeling better today.

My hip is a lot easier today thank goodness as I have the bathroom to clean today.

Give that little Freya a cuddle for me too please Jane.

Frank

Frank Report 26 Feb 2016 14:00

Just had soup and buttered roll, Ros doesn't want anything yet. I think with bending over it will repeat on her. She has a few more pots to empty and put in the bed. I will keep an eye on her, and get her in soon.

Yes Mel, It will still be there tomorrow, I just hope it stays fine. As it would be a waste of a fine afternoon.

My left knee is still giving me a lot of pain, so I am going to put it up on the pouffe and watch a bit of NAT GEO or EDEN.

Hope Jane is enjoying her visitors, Sounds like a CANNIBAL putting it like that <3 <3 <3 You know what I mean.

Afternoon All
Well our visitors have just gone. What a lovely time we have had :-D.Little Freya was an absolute darling. She is just 16 weeks .Good as gold .Just a minute or too of tears but other than that she was just the perfect baby :-D.The only time she cried was just as we sat down for lunch.Mark tried to hold her while he had his soup.So I just took her off in to another room so Mark and Kate could just sit and eat without interruptions .You know how you rock a baby? I feel like I am still rocking LOL.Just that swaying from side to side :-)
Will catch up on posts in a bit.

Conrad and Jan were trying to contact us yesterday (TEN TIMES) they got so worried, they were going to call the POLICE. But decided to ring Harvey this morning. He rang here and Ros answered the phone, and said we were fine. I tried contacting Jan this afternoon by skype, but she's beed out all day. She has just rung us, saying how worried they both were. <3 <3 bless them both.

Conrad has been very busy again selling a property a day for the passed week. Jan is coming home next Friday Conrad will follow on the 9th March as they have a big exibition in Manchester from the 11th to 13th. He will then go back with her to Paington for a couple of days before flying back. I bet he will fing time to call in and see us.

I managed to get Ros in at 4.30 pm She went straight into the bathroom for a shower and hair wash. She is now sitting on the sofa with her hair drying thing on her head, with the hair dryer on full blast. I can hardly hear myself THINK. That'a an old one.!!!

Pork Chop for Ros tonight with Rice and Veg. I am having a Gammon with eggs and chips. In fact I had better go and get started.

Not out tonight, she will wonder what's wrong with me. ;-) ;-) ;-)

Evening all,

Not such a cold day here and we have had some sun ,so i decided to get some weeding done in the front garden filled two tubs with weeds so i was pleased with all i did.

Frank,i can see Ros has had a good day in the garden too it looks lovely with all the new plants .
Were they trying to ring you then Frank or was it emails they were sending to get in touch ? i bet they were getting worried as if Ros is out you are usually about .

Oh Jane i think it's the best thing rocking a baby in your arms ,i usually find myself tapping the baby's bottom with my hand .
She sounds as if she is a good baby ,it's like they know when it's meal times though and wake up .

Well we tried again today to go to our little restaurant ,the chairs were all stacked up still and now they have a notice on the door saying they have finished do to personal reasons ,shame as the meals were so good.

Easy meal for us tonight ,Ham egg and Chips as i'd been out in the garden i didn't feel like to much cooking .

Wouldn't it be nice if Gill got an offer today on their place , fingers crossed again for you Gill, hope your feeling better too .

Just love the pics Frank and stripes back in the lawn. Ours is much too wet for oh to mow but he says its too cold to be sitting on the mower at the moment. He mentioned it today.

Frank is that Val who puits washing out and leaves it for days in the rain?

The ground round the chickens run is at last starting to dry out so I suppose now we will have another lot of rain. just as my boots did'nt need so much cleaning before I come in.

Ruby Report 26 Feb 2016 19:26

Hello all,

I loved the picture of Ros and her friend in the garden nattering :-D It made me think of one of my sisters and I.

Lovely to have been able to hold a baby again wasn't it Jane? My new great grandson will be here in May - I can't wait to see him. Grand-daughter was told after the first scan that he will have club feet, so that has been worrying for them. The doctor she saw the other day made her feel much better though. He told her not to worry because it's not anything that can't be taken care of.

I hope Gill will soon be well again. I have had much the same thing. Terrible cough and dreadful wheezing and crackling in my lungs. I have asthma too, so had great difficulty breathing. The doctor gave me a breathing treatment and I came away with antibiotics and steroids, same as Gill. It took me a few weeks to feel any better. I already had two different inhalers to use, but now have to use them more frequently. I was glad I was up to date on my flu shot. I also have had two pneumonia shots.

Liz, I am so glad your minds are at ease. It lifts the weight from your shoulders doesn't it?

I am moved into my new digs but am still in a huge mess. Have had to give away tons of stuff. Son in law is coming to get my large flat screen TV tonight. I'm just having the one smaller one in my bedroom. I don't watch TV during the day, and not too much at night either, just the news, and the English shows at the weekend.
I chose not to have upper cabinets in the kitchen because I felt that it would be too overpowering in such a small space, so just have shelves on the walls. I am now finding it difficult to find room for dishes :-| It will sort itself out.

I hope you've had some interest in your house today Gill. Goodness knows, you've done everything you could to sell it.

Hello to everyone. Mel, I think a little thatched roof over your new egg table would be good. Annx, your FIL must be a tough old fellow to have come through all he's endured in the past few months. Anne, I had meant to say before, but I see where you were married in 1960. We were married in December of the same year. I wore a T-length dress, and I am about a half an inch taller than you are. :-D

Hi all

What lovely plants Frank, Ros has been busy hasn't she? So poor Conrad and Jan were worried, how come they couldn't get hold of you after ringing 10 times, was there a fault on your phone line? Sorry to hear your knee is playing you up, hope it feels better soon :-) :-)

How nice to cuddle little Freya Jane, she sounds like such a good baby, I bet you were sad when you had to give her back? When will you be seeing them again? Hope it's not to long, babies do grow up quickly don't they?

It sounds like you've been busy in your garden too Mandy. I was saying to OH today that it's a shame we had viewings as it was just right for a day in the garden, we did have enough time to tidy up a few pot plants, but I would of liked to be able to do bit more, now the weather man says the weekend is going to be really cold so I can't see us doing anything until the weather warms up again.

The viewing's went well Mel and both lots of people liked our bungalow so we're hoping for good feedback off the Agent tomorrow. We've still got another viewing tomorrow so hopefully that'll go just as well and one of them might put in an offer if we're lucky.

Poor Sandra has started with a sore throat today and after the second viewing she ended up with a headache as the couple spoke very loudly, in fact they were almost shouting, so she was glad when they left. They were here for almost an hour, so once they'd gone Sandra took a painkiller and went and had a lie down on her bed, she's had a soft omelette for her dinner and OH has just nipped to the shops to buy some soft food for her.

If she's anything like I was she won't be able to eat much, she had problems eating the boiled rice and could only manage the omelette. She doesn't get ill very often but when she does she is really bad. I hope she'll be okay with the last viewing tomorrow. I gave her one of the trifles OH bought for me when I had a sore throat which seemed to help and OH is buying some more for her. I just want to cuddle her and make her better, I really hope she doesn't get as bad as I did :-( :-(
OH is back from the shops and has bought Sandra a CD she had her eye on as a thank you for helping me last week when he was in work, she is made up, bless her.
