I just remembered it's the 29th. !!! I met Ros in the August, moved into her Mum and Dads in the October, she wouldn't let me move in with here. Then one night I left her and went to her M & D only to find he had put the catch down so my key wouldn't turn ( I think he did it on purpose) So I had to go back to Ros's and throw stones at the bedroom window. She let me in and I never went back. I proposed in the December and married in the June. Her M & Ds wedding anniversary 3rd June, That was 1978.
The electriction only wanted a "DRINK" for coming here twice, and in total about 2 hours. When I gave him £20.00 he wanted to give me a tenner back. !!! No way.
Val next door has ben out with the electric hedge trimmer taking some branches off the "Red Robin" She's made a right "PIGS EAR" of it. She has gone indoors and left all thre trimmings on the borders including ours. Ros is not a "HAPPY BUNNY"
You have been busy Liz, I bet you feel well pleased with yourself. Regarding T.V. programmes, We tend to look at a lot of ITV 3 "VERA" Midsummer, Jack Frost, Etc. I must have a look at some of those programmes on Catch up.
I'm in for a sore bum in an hour. ;-) ;-) I swear she uses a blunt needle, Only Joking. The injection is very thick and has to be put in with a big needle. That's why it hurts. OH,!!!
Nice easy tea/dinner tonight. Sausages and mash for me, Lasagne for Ros.
Dulled right down now, so not sure what to expect. I see they had snow in Northern Ireland and on the West coast.
Might be back later.

That was good of the Electrician Frank.I seem to remember some time ago the Plumber had t ocome out for a job that only took a few minutes. He didn'y want any payment either. So I asked him what he liked to drink and he said Red Wine.Luckily we had several nice bottles so I gave the pick of what he fancied :-D(not all of them !! )
Yes Mel it is that bungalow. Both Gina and her Partner are up there now !!!.The radio is balanced against the chimney .It all looks quite cosy up there lol
Liz,I hope you aren't planning on outdoor activites with your visitors tomorrow. The weather looks horrible :-S I have been watching Trapped too but on catchup.Normally I don't watch anything with Subtitles but I just got hooked on this programme :-D. I might just watch the last one now :-D

Afternoon all
It's just started raining here after a frosty start to the day.
I've not long woken up after falling asleep an hour or so ago, Sandra is asleep too, so poor OH has been on his own doing his Sudoku.
I don't think the woman was to keen on this place this morning, her daughter loved the garden, but the mum didn't show much interest. We have the couple who came the other day coming back for a second viewing on Saturday which is good and a woman travelling from Warrington viewing on Friday, so things are looking up now we've reduced our price.
I've just popped the chicken in the oven for an early dinner. Sandra and I like our soaps in the week so I'd like the dinner and dishes out of the way before they start.
I recorded Churchill last night, so will probably watch it tomorrow, as I have a free day. I was going to watch it last night but was so tired I went to bed early and slept right through till 6.30 this morning.
It sounds like you've been busy Liz with all your housework, it's a nice feeling when it's all done isn't it. That's the advantage of having our bungalow on the market, it's almost, always, clean and tidy, so we're ready at short notice for any viewings we might get. I've decided to make a start on some packing as there are a few things I don't use very often just laying around and I've also started putting things under my bed again (for safe keeping) which could be packed too. It'll make a big job slightly smaller if we do sell.
Did anyone see on the internet that we might be getting a white Easter? Apparently the whole country is in for an artic blast, it's forecast to rain heavily but because the temperature is going to fall to almost -14C the rain will turn to snow. Sandra is really excited and is looking forward to making her snowman. I hope it doesn't go to -14C as that might be a bit to cold for her to go out in.

You have been busy Liz, I have been a bit lazy today after taking Amy out ,before I had taken my coat off my S.I.L. rang so was on the phone to her for nearly an hour. I went out in the garden for a short time then was chatting to Doreen next door for a while, I then sat in the conservatory watching 3 quite young squirrels chasing each up and down the trees just outside the bottom of the garden. The birds have been on the feeders a lot. The blackbird was having a good splash in the small waterfall between the ponds, there was also a thrush on the feeder don't see too many of them in the garden.
I know the babies names don't come from the Crittenden family but they could come from their Mums' sides although Bo's proper name is Rosemary when she was tiny she couldn't pronounce her name and used to call herself BO BO which was shortened to Bo and apart from her late 2nd husband everyone calls her that. One of Peter's brothers 2nd wife's son has called his two sons Spike and Ludo poor boys,. with some of the names babies are given I always think what happens when they grow up,
Ann only just seen your photo of the sweet little calf I am sure she was rescued and to the farmer she would have been valuable.
Gill it sounds more likely you will be selling your home in the near future.
We have been watching The Night Manager and thought it was really good. I liked watching Vera but that has finished now of course..

We watch quite a lot of sub titles Jane, particularly on Saturday evening, they're always excellent and you soon get used to the sub. You ought to try and watch ' The Night Manager' as it is very good and in English!!!! I mowed the grass just after lunch, It's a bit early in the year ,but it had got very long with the warm winter, so it had it s first cut. I'm not that fussed about tram lines, just keeping it under control is good enough for us! Yes the forecast is awful for tomorrow, We're planning a pub lunch, but apart from that we shall stay in!! Cas had a hair cut this afternoon!! her tail, belly and leg feathers had got very long and permanently muddy!! She now looks nice and clean ready for the next bout of rain!! Hard boiled egg salad for us tonight, nice and easy! Hope you've managed to sort your plate out Mel?! and glad everyone is feeling better in your house Gill. Looks really hopeful on the sale front, fingers crossed!

Put a ni ce pot of daffs on mums gravestone and had a look at the canada geese on the lake which you can see from the graveyard of the church.
Just had tea and cake and now I am going to wash my hair.

ooh Anne,Spike and Ludo !!! What strange names !.I doubt there won't be anymore little boys at school with the same names lol..Sometimes though it is nice to be a bit different.
Gill, things could be looking up for you by the sound of things :-D.Lets hope so :-D I haven't heard about a white Easter or about the temperature plummeting that low. It would be so lovely for Sandra though if she could finally get to make her Snowman. She has waited so long now .I hope she isn't going ot be disappointed this time around.- 14 makes me feel cold just thinking of that !!
So young Cas is looking a smart girl again Liz :-D.I have seen several Spaniels just recently that have had 'haircuts'.I think my Sister said she has just had one of her dogs done but I'm not sure which one.She has a Wheaten Terrier,a Spanish Water Dog and some kind of long haired Hound.
I just watched Trapped. It is quite a programme isn't it!!!. I just wish I could see it properly as it s always so dark !!!! it is all very dramatic.Glad I don't live in that town in Iceland LOL..They seem an odd lot I think I can just about cope with watching one programme with Sub Titles so won't be watching the Night Manager.I know Fitz watches lots.He often goes to the cinema to see films with subtitles.I think a lot of French ones.
Good luck tomorrow Mel with your plate.Hopefully it can be fixed pretty swiftly for you. Chris had the Dentist this morning and the Dentist was running half an hour late.I think he had a difficult extraction before Chris.
Well Chris has put together this 'manger'..It looks like a big coffin !!!.I could fit in it easily with space to spare!!!
Mel if you have just had Cake you won't be able to eat your dinner tonight ! :-D
The temperature has dropped big time now.I just saw a little bird having a bath .It probably got in quick before the water freezes over again tonight. The moon was very bright again last night.I had to let Thomas out just before 3am !!! I think it was about 2.40.He hasn't eaten anything at all today here so he must had a feast Al Fresco.
I see two of my favourite people on TV are leaving.Bill Turnbull from Breakfast and James Martin from Saturday Kitchen :-(

The Night Manager is in English Jane! It's a John Le Carre novel. Hugh Laurie is in it and he is brilliant! Well worth watching! You can find out all about it on Google. Nothing on tonight except U.C, not that we can answer much of it, but we enjoy trying! After that it'll be recordings! Ben Fogle named his little boy Ludo, I quite like it, not too sure about Spike though!!

Evening all,
Another sunny day after a frost ,i read that Easter could be a white one too ,it would be lovely if Sandra could at last get to build her snow man, she has waited a long time to do so .
Oh Anne how lovely a new baby girl and what a weight poor mum if she had her naturally :-0 i like the name ,not sure about Spike and Ludo poor boys . On our local news a lady had a baby today weighing in at 11 pounds !!
You must feel happier now the electrics are all done Frank , i bet Ros wasn't best pleased with Val leaving all her trimmings on the garden ,poor Ros worked hard getting it all nice and tidy. Hope your not to sore on the bottom after your injection ,makes my eyes water just thinking about that big needle !! :-0
Sounds as if the viewings are picking up then Gill ,and dropping the price must help. Oh i'am glad to managed to get an appointment for tomorrow Mel ,hopefully the dentist will be able to mend the plate for you so you don't have to pay out or a new one .
Sounds as if you will need a lots of herbs to fill this Manger then Jane ,didn't you know what the size was when you ordered it ? Thomas was about early this morning ,you wouldn't think he would want to go out in the cold but at least he does go out and not just look out the door and turn tail .
:-D :-D :-D :-D Now the good news ,we are going to be new parents in April :-D went to see the puppies with son this afternoon ,all the chocolate ones were sold so we're having a little black Lab boy and we're going to call him Max :-D Oh they were all so cute ,mum was there and dad ,mum was so proud of her babies and after i had picked Max up and put him back she soon had a sniff round them all just to make sure we hadn't taken one . I just carn't get the smile off my face :-D

Evie Rose was born naturally but it was a forceps delivery they were home soon after the birth and plenty of photos on face book all ready.
We had Sainsbury's Catalan chicken with runner beans and broccoli for dinner which was very tasty.

Wonderful News Mandy. I did leave a email after your picture. I bet you can't wait. I had a black puppy Lab. when both my children were babies. Wrong move. Just too much for my wife to cope with with two young children.
Jane what the devil do you want will a box that size. Watch it Chris might have other ideas what to use it for. ;-)
Sore buttock this evening, so I won't be going out, will be in dressing gown soon.
Hope the dentist sort out your teeth tomorrow Mel. !!
I see on the forecast that tomorrow is going to be bad, and it looks like the rest of the week won't be much better.
Years ago we always went to Devon at Easter. We had some very cold weekends down there. Sid and Val, Tony and Val, Ros and I. spent most of the day in anywhere that was warm, and often went back in the afternoons to the B & B. who didn't mind us using their lounge and roaring fire. In the evening it was in a pub with a fire as well. Happy days !!!

Evening All,
Oh how exciting Mandy!! I love sooty black Labs and it's a breed I would like too!!! :-D :-D :-D :-D I remember a work visit once where a lady opened the door to me and a little black Lab ball of fur hurtled through the door to me. It had the cutest ears and a fat little tummy!! lol. I like the name Max too. :-) :-) I'm looking forward to the pics already!! lol That was a big baby Mandy.....just hope it had a small head!!
I never rang the RSPCA back about the calf. I just prefer to think it was ok rather than perhaps be told it didn't make it and get upset about it. It was very weak and shivering. :-S
Evie Rose is a pretty name Anne. Glad you have had a better day without any chasing of birds!
Either the hospital or home (suspect it's the hospital!) have lost FIL's false teeth. OH has rung the hospital but they can't find them!! Now he will have to have some more made, which isn't ideal to have the hassle to go through at his age plus the expense. :-S I said to OH you'd think the hospital would have a note of whether patients come in with teeth, glasses and hearing aids. At least then there would be a written record and they might look after them better! :-| I think OH is going to see him tomorrow.....he doesn't go every day while things are ok.
We went to see a canal lock the other side of the city yesterday. They have just fitted new oak lock gates and were allowing viewings before the water is let back in today. They'd rigged up a metal staircase so you could walk down to the bottom inside the lock and had people telling you about it. I never knew before that the bottom is all lined with brick and curved. There is an inn next to it that looks a good place to eat so we'll be back in the summer! There is also a mill further downstream that we'd like to walk to as well. The village is Mountsorrel and there is a quarry there where years ago first OH and I would fetch the pink Mountsorrel granite from to build our front wall. After we'd had a walk round the village which has an old butter market we then called in a garden centre on the way home to have a hot drink and cake as OH was frozen. I got me a nice big slice of victoria off a dome lidded cake stand with those things like washing tongs. Well, I decided to wedge the tong things under the lid handle after........MISTAKE! Just after I let them go there was a loud snap as the tongs flew open and from under the lid, then the spoon end hit my arm, smearing thick cream over my BLACK cardigan and flicking bits of it all over my front. :-S What a mess to try and clean off!! lol
Today I went for a walk around the old hall land by the ice house and they have now railed off the ice house so you can't get within 10 feet of it. I suppose at least the snowdrops at the side haven't been trampled. Lots more of the hedging has been cut right back too which is a shame. It used to be a real wildlife haven with paths mown into the long meadow grass with lots of trees and mature hedges. Now it is all mown within an inch of it's life and the greenery all cleared or hacked back. No wonder there is less birdsong to be heard. :-S
Gill, it sounds like a biiterly cold easter! I hope Sandra is no worse and it sounds more promising with your viewers now.
I watched a cracking film last night on tv called The Other Man. It had Liam Neeson and Antonio Banderas in it.
Will see if I can catch up with more of the posts now.

Oh how can they loose teeth !! as you say they should know what he went in with , you don't think FIL has taken them out and popped them some where ,not that he will remember if he has .
It must have been nice to hear all about the lock ,i didn't know they were bricked and curved at the bottom . So you had extra cream with your sponge then Ann :-D i bet OH had some thing to say about that !! :-D
I have sent a photo of Max
