Only ME,
No Mel she doesn't get paid, it's all done for charity. That was a good question to ask the dentist. Made me smile, but very true. I only have FIVE left, so what would they charge me ??
Glad you had a nice dY WITH YOUR FRIENDS lIZ, AND HOW LOVELY OF YOUR SON TO DRIVE (sorry) just looked up and saw it !!! all that way to bring your Mother's day present.
Ros never got back till 4.30. She went for a wander round the shops. She should have rung me, I was starting to worry. Naughty girl. !!!
My Niece sent a photo of us FIVE younger children, taken when I was about 5/6 years old. I don't know how to post it from FB to the thread. I have sent it to some of you though. I have asked her for a copy.
Just had a fresh cream cake and a COT. now got indigestion.

Afternoon Everyone Strange old weather today.Rain ,then sun,bit more rain ,and now just cloud.
Gill, that is brilliant news :-D :-D :-D.I hope it all goes through with no hitches and that you can soon find a place that you like.Somewhere where you and Sandra will be able to get out and about more easily .That next village you mentioned the other day sounds good for you.Great that it is cash buyers with no chain too :-DAs long as the surveys are fine there shouldn't be any hold ups for you. Don't go mad yet sorting things out at home and wearing yourself out. There will be plenty of time.
It looks like you might get some snow (if I read the weather map correctly) tomorrow. So maybe Sandra will be able to make her snowman after all :-D.I don't know if we will get any .
Mandy what a day you have had !!!..Poor OH.Sounds like he has been from pillar to post.Good job he has had the blood thinning injection. So hopefully tomorrow you will know what is going on with his legs.
I bet you are thinking of little Max all the time now :-D :-D..He is soon cute <3
Have they found FIL's teeth yet Ann ? That is pretty bad to have lost them..Hope no-one else is wearing them !!! I remember when I worked on Mens Geriatric .All false teeth would be collected up at night for cleaning.Half the time they ended up in the wrong mouths :-S :-S I am sure teeth these days aren't dealt with like that..I hope not anyway.
Mel that is good you can pick your mended plate up tomorrow.I do think though that it is worth asking for a reduced cost for a clean and polish on your 8 teeth.Bet they say no !!But if you don't ask you don't get :-)
Glad you had a lovely day Liz.Just shame about the weather....As for things being left around .Chris never leaves anything !!.It is always me and him putting away my stuff (or moaning how long something has been in the same place waiting to be put away LOL ) We are going to Cambridge on Sunday to meet up with Hannah for a combined Mothers day and Hannah's Birthday (which is on the 10th).I think we are going to Jamies Italian. It is easy for Hannah to get there from London ,and then she will be going straight back after the lunch.I have reminded her to bring some kind of bag to take her Birthday presents back.
Oh Gill I hope the fall out with Michelle will sort itself out.Maybe she needs a bit of time to cool off and will soon be in touch again.Try not to worry yourself. Hopefully your Mum's check up will be just that and that she won't need to have an operation..It certainly is all happening now for you !!
Frank.I was just thinking it wasn't that long ago you went to Torquay and were glad to get home !!! What with the stairs and the little girl having her tantrums .Maybe it might be better to stay home for Easter ...Also if we are due bad weather that will be the perfect excuse not to go .
Anne I have been like you today.Washing and Ironing. How exciting is that lol.Unfortunately these things won't do themselves .I often wonder if I didn't change the beds and left it to Chris and James how often would that happen !!!!!..
I must tell you .....Hannah for research the other day had an MRI on her brain. It wa obviously a much more detailed one than the one I had (of which I still had no results0 Hers took an hour..But the funniest thing about it is she actually fell fast asleep and had to be woken up at the end when they pulled her out from the scanner !!!..She said that she was so exhausted after her trip to Manchester and Birmingham she must have just zonked out.She thought she must have nodded off towards the end of the scan. But was told in fact she had been asleep for most of it lol..I don't think they have had that before unless a patient was unconscious !!!!! Sorry if I have already told this.I sometimes cant remember who I have told what LOL
Meatballs here tonight.Spaghetti for me and Chris and Rice for James.

Oh dear James has just got home and might be off to Chistlehurst to Jess later. It seems that her Grandad might not have long .All the family have been called in to the hospital.Jess's family are all a bit highly strung and to be honest a bit 'odd' so he would like to be with Jess .She has always been close to her Grandad .He is only 72 but has been in failing health for several years now. So I am going to dish his dinner up now just in case he wants to get off.He has already rung his boss to say he might not be in tomorrow.

Evening All,
Just lost a long post. :-S
Great news Gill.......I had a feeling you would sell soon!! :-D You'd better start collecting cardboard boxes on your shopping trips now!! Now all you need is to find somewhere else. :-) Good idea to have a chat with a solicitor too.
Poor Hannah must have really zonked out to sleep through all that noise Jane!! :-0 It's a good idea to meet at Cambridge for a meal together. Poor Jess isn't having a good week is she.
Frank I bet you didn't 'DECORATE' yourself with your cake!! lol ;-) Ros has done so well with making all the covers hasn't she.......I have to take my hat off to her! What a nuisance the cat messing on her borders. I caught 'Hello Kitty' on our front the other day. He was just squatting and wriggling on a bed of a pretty alpine red salvia I have. You don't often see it so it couldn't be replaced easily. Well I leapt out of the car and shooed him off just in time I think. Luckily he headed towards his own garden over the road so I hope he left his present there! I think an easter break at home sounds a good idea if the weather is bad.
What a day you've had Mandy, but it's good they took precautions in case of a DVT. Now you have it to do again tomorrow, but hopefully you won't be as long. I find it so tiring in hospitals with the heat, even if you are doing nothing! Yes, they do charge don't they, they know there is nowhere else for you to go! I'm sure they needn't charge so much.
One of OH's pals worked in a hospital till last year and he told OH that false teeth are always going missing. :-S
Sounds like we had a better day than Liz or Anne. It rained a lot in the night but has been mostly dry here today with quite a bit of sun. I gave OH a fright waking him up at 1.00am this morning! I realised I hadn't switched my mobile off and when I looked in my bag it wasn't there!!!He'd rung me while I was out yesterday and I suddeAll I've done today is a trip to the supermarket and then with OH to his bank to get FIL's bank account transferred to his bank. It will save us a 30 mile round trip each time and OH's bank doesn't make as many mistakes!! OH looked a bit dismayed when I said he would have 2 of everything cards etc in his own name now!! He made the girl laugh then when he said I remember people saying you turn into your father as you get older and I feel as if I am!!
I hope your teeth fit well after their repair Mel. You'd just got them right as well.

That was good the dentist could mend your plate Mel and good that you can pick them up tomorrow as some times they have to send them away to be done ,i would ask if the clean is cheaper as you have less teeth ,don't ask don't get you know !!
Oh poor Jess that's so sad about her grandad and after all the poor girl has been through the last few days too.
Well Hannah must have been really tired to drop off while having the scan :-D i thought they were a bit on the noisy side ,perhaps it was the droning that made her nod off ,at least she was relaxed while it was done . :-D
You soon got some viewings sorted Gill ,i bet you carn't wait now to get packing , you'll have to get Sandra a paint colour chart so she can pick her shade of pink .
If we hadn't been in the hospital today i think i would have been in Jollies picking a new bed for Max :-D i must get a blanket and take with me next time i go to see him so i can get mums smell on it ,it might help him settle when he gets here and away from mum , we can go any time to see him we just have to give them a ring so they can tell the guard on the gate as the house is in the Barracks of the The Queen's Dragoon Guards. Yes Anne we have told the little ones ,they are so excited ,Chelsea said he will need a new ball Nanny .
Enjoy your match Frank and the pint or three :-D i see Norwich play Chelsea tonight at Carrow road .

So did you find your mobile then Ann ? i bet OH thought you were having another funny turn waking him up like that at that time of the morning !!
We never seem to have cardboard boxes in the super markets now ,at one time they use to have them stacked at the end of the tills or in one of those big cages ,i suppose you have to ask for them ,you would think they would have them now people have to pay for carrier bags
I meant to say my sister has her date through 15th April to have her op on her knee ,she is having a half knee done which is much quicker ,she only has to have an over night stay then home again .

Haven't read the posts. But what a barny I have had down the pub. There was some A.Hole who thought it was quite alright to F and blind in thr pub. I stood it for so long. Then bust a vein, I told him in no uncertain terms what I though of him, and if I was 30 years younger I would take him outside and give him a B good hiding. I had a word with the barman and told him he should eject him. What did he do, served him with a large whiskey. I will have stong words with the Management tomorrow. Either he is band or I won't use the pub anymore. There were women and children in the pub this evening. Why should I have to leave halfway through a football match because of a druken bum like that. I am still fuming and wish I had thumped him when I had the chance. When I rang Ros to pick me up she said you ate early. I asked the people in the pub if he was out of order and they all agreed he was. I said why on earth dindn't anyone say something. It all went quite, but they all agreed he was out of order.
I am going to take my sleeper now and hope I can sleep.

Spot on Mandy! If I wake him in the night now the first thing I say is 'I'm ok' so he doesn't panic that we need to get to A&E. I never finished that bit of the post did I? I remembered he'd rung me during the day while I was out and I'd pulled over in the car, got my mobile out, then left it on the passenger seat! So at 1.00am I decided to stick my coat over my nightie and go and get it out of the car. I didn't want anyone smashing my new car windows to nick it off the seat thinking it was a posh iphone!! I thought I'd better wake him in case I didn't come back in as you never know who might be outside in the dark. :-S
How exciting buying things for Max. :-D I bet the children will want to get him something too. Chelsea's already thinking of things, bless her! :-)

Oh dear Frank. Try not to get worked up but I know it's easier said than done. I know just what you mean and expect the other folk felt just the same, but people are nervous to say or do anything these days for fear of reprisals etc. I hate being around young men who are effing every other word to each other when they are among other people. As far as I'm concerned they can do it all they like when they are on their own with each other, but when they are around women and children any liking or respect for them drops to zero when I hear the first 'f' word.

We will be asking our solicitor to explain things to their solicitor Liz. We are seeing our solicitor tomorrow and will be taking the paperwork with us, he'll probably take a copy of it for his file, we wouldn't of needed to see him yet if it hadn't of been for the problem with the deeds, but at least we'll know where we stand then. Glad you had a nice time with your visitors.
We've found a property in the next village Frank which we are viewing tomorrow, it's not quite what we were after but after reducing ours by 10k we had to find what we can afford. I looked in Devon but don't know the area very well so decided to take a look at the one tomorrow and take it from there for now.
I've got lots of boxes already Ann, and loads and loads of newspapers so we shouldn't need many more boxes and no more newspapers. I was going to pack up a few things that have been put under our bed so I'll get on and do that as soon as my tummy is better and I know mum is alright.
I'm hoping that mum won't need an operation Jane, but she needs to have this check up tomorrow before they know for sure. She has been having problems with her breathing and they think it might have something to do with her heart. We'll know more after tomorrow. I've just rang Michelle and everything is fine between us now. She is full of cold at the moment and hadn't long got in from work which is why she hadn't replied to my text message. I'm not sure if Sandra will make a snowman as she's still not well, it depends how cold it is and how she feels, if we do get the snow tomorrow. I could make it for her then she can put the eyes and nose etc.. on it if my tummy will let me. I've taken some medicine now, so hopefully my tum will settle down soon.
The dentist were quick sorting your teeth out Mel, lets hope they don't break on you again.
What a day you've had Mandy, hope all goes okay tomorrow for your hubby, at least they took precautions today.....better to be safe than sorry. What a good idea to get mums smell on the blanket for Max.
Sorry to hear about Jess's granddad Jane, she's not having much luck lately is she? That's nice of James to go to her, she'll be glad of his support.
Did you find your mobile Ann? I bet you gave your OH a shock waking him up at that time in the morning?
I'm really tired so I'm going to have a bath and get off to bed, see you all tomorrow. Night Night

Sorry to hear you've had a bad night Frank, I don't blame you for having words, there's no need for language like that, especially round women and children and what was the management thinking giving him a whiskey? What a daft thing to do. Hope your sleepers work and you have a good nights sleep. Try not to let him get to you, he's not worth it.
Your story makes more sense now Ann :-D :-D
Well, my bath's done so I'll go and have a soak. Goodnight <3

Morning all
Sleet and snow here today. Sandra is so excited and just wants the rain to stop so the snow will stick. She dragged her dad off the sofa to look out of the window. I wouldn't mind but it was OH who told me it was snowing then I woke Sandra up to let her know, but it was funny to watch her drag him up and be so excited....bless her <3 Just noticed the rain is easing off a bit and the snow is a bit thicker. At least it's heading in the right direction, but I doubt it will stick as it's to wet out there.
Sorry to hear about your tooth David. Yes I did get a good nights sleep last night. Not looking forward to having to go out in all this bad weather though. Sandra has decided to stay here and quite frankly I don't blame her. I've just tried ringing the agent to ask what the vendors name is and to see if they can send us some details on the house we're viewing but only got their answer machine......not a good way to run a business if you ask me. I just hope there's someone there to meet us when we arrive. I don't fancy going out in this weather for nothing :-( :-( It's very dark here now I might have to put some lights on.
Well, I'd better go and get dressed, I might give the agent another ring in half an hour, OH thinks they may be having a meeting as some agents do that in a morning. The viewing is 11am and the solicitors appointment is 2.30pm. So I might not be back until this afternoon.
Hope you had a good nights sleep Frank and you feel a little calmer today.
What is everyone else up to today?
It looks like the rain has turned to snow now, as it's coming down quite thick and fast. That'll please Sandra if it stays this way :-) :-) It's starting to stick on the grass, so if the rain stays away she'll get the snow she wanted.

Morning all and evening Kim,
We have gales snow sunshine and everything else you could possibley imagine here this morning. I did'nt see the snow as I was still in bed but oh came in to tell me and I had my eyes shut and he thought I was asleep. Suns out now and we have blue sky but when I got up the sky was grey. It must be the wind changing the weather so fast with it blowing so much.
Mandy sorry to hear about yours and Colin's ordeal at the hospital yesterday but am pleased he went and got it looked at so they can start the treatment he needs straight away. I hope it all goes well for him.
So Sandra has her snow at last and I hope its the kind that sticks together so she can make a small snowman at least. We shall all want a picture you know!!!
Be careful on the roads if there's much snow Gill.
Well David you must have eaten it if you hav'nt spat it out or found it in your mouth at all, silly boy......... :-(
Hope Frank slept ok after the todo in the pub last night. I do find it awful when every other word is a swear word and I would'nt say I was a prude but think it is quite without cause to have to speak like that in public, alright let them by all means do it when they are alone. It's the same with programs on the tv. if I hear too much I switch over and I can't stand any shouting or argueing.

Morning All,
Well we just have horrid sleet and rain here on his dull and dark morning! :-S I think snow is forecast here for Friday but by then it could be different! At least Sandra has the snow she wants to get excited about at last! I hope she gets enough for her snowman. :-)
I hope your viewing goes well today Gill and that you like the place you are seeing. As long as you can make somewhere how you want it eventually is the main thing. Nowhere is perfect is it. I think that will be good if the solicitor can explain the situation to you properly about the deeds so you know exactly where you stand.
Oh David, I hate it when bits of tooth break off. You'll have to stop eating all those toffees!!! lol :-) It sounds like a dentist visit to see what's to be done, maybe a filling.
OH has gone to FIL's doctors to pick up a future care plan they say the home should have a copy of, but of course the home say they haven't got it!! There seems to be so much bad organisation and bungling of things these days. OH just rang, it's snowing where he is. He said FIL is not good today and the home are having trouble feeding him as he doesn't want it. He didn't seem to know OH today which is the first time that's happened. It's sad, and at least he doesn't seem to be in any pain, but I wish he would just slip away in his sleep now as it must be awful when you just don't even recognise anyone. Then again, maybe the mind isn't capable of minding that, we just don't know.
The fav carvery isn't on today so we will have to think of a plan B now.

Goodness David, not to visit the Dentist for three years!!!!! No wonder you're beginning to get problems! I think a visit is long overdue! What a blustery morning it's been here! Ian said Cas nearly got blown away first thing. I've just taken her for a run in the field and again she was blown about quite a bit although at least it wasn't raining. She's now back in her crate having her lunch!! Ian and I are having a peaceful day doing nothing! Fish pie for supper, so nice and easy!!
