Frank Report 2 Mar 2016 14:10

Afternoon all,

I will try again. Slept right through last night till 9.00 am Ros bought me a COT in bed.

I am a lot calmer this morning. This is the same person who I had spoken to a couple of months ago,for exactly the same reason. That time it was a husband and wife with TWO young children. I told him last night to take his vile language back to where he belongs IN THE GUTTER. He blew me a kiss when I walked out. If I go down tonight I will have very strong words with the Management.

We had a few flakes of snow in with the rain earlier. It's now just blowing a gale and the clouds are being blown along.

Glad you seemed to have found somewhere Gill. Is it bigger or smaller than you have got ??

Ros has had the machine buzzing all morning. She says she needs more space, she has the whole dinning room table and the conservatory for all her things. I don't know what more space she can have. Do I move into the shed or garage. ???

We are having Tesco Finest meals tonight. I just can't stand any length of time at the moment. My left knee is giving me a lot of pain, so it looks like I will have to have words with the doctor on Thursday to see about the replaement.

Jan skyped this morning asking us down there on Friday to spend a few days with her, Jo, and Ella. Conrad is coming home next Wednesday for the big exhibition in Manchester on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We will come home Thursday morning. I think they may stop over here on Sunday night, before going back on Monday to Paignton. Conrad will fly back to Spain on Tuesday. Busy life eh.

David even I go to the dentist more than you. What a shock to find you have swallowed part of your tooth !!!

Poor little Cas. being blown around on her walk, I bet she was glad to get home ;-) ;-)

Just had a cup of soup very tasty it was too.

Ann how are things on the hospital front ??? where did you go for PLAN B ??

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 2 Mar 2016 16:07

Back from the dentist and got my bottom set back all like new and they feel a little tighter now which is good but it may be because I have been without them for about 5 days. I can't remember when I broke them!! :-0

Thwe wind is so strong here it keeps blowing the extractor fan door open just a tad and then blows round my back as I sit here at my desk.

I wonder how Gill has got on today with the veiwing and seeing her mum. Wonder too if they still have enough snow for Sandra to make her snowman? :-D

Really you know three years is not as long as it was for me when I went to the dentist after fifteen years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It still sounds to me like poor FIL is slowly going down hill now Ann. I like you hope he can just slip away one night in his sleep. Bless...........

Frank I am pleased you had such a good long sleep after the upset of last night at the pub. I was worried it would play on your mind. <3 <3

Afternoon all,

It's been nice and sunny here this morning but a while ago we had the biggest flakes of snow i think iv'e ever seen ,it did lay for a while but most of it has gone now .
We went off to the hospital and hubby had his ultra sound ,they did from his groin down to his ankle and couldn't see any sign of clots so that was a huge relief ,he now has to wait for the report to go to the doctor and then the doctor said he would ring to sort out what could be done for the swelling in hubby legs.

How did the viewing go today Gill ? did you like the property ?
I hope there's enough snow for Sandra to make her snowman today she has been waiting for this snow for so long now ,even if it's a tiny snowman it would make her day .
How did mum get on at the hospital ? hope she got a good report so theres no need for an op.

Frank there is always one who has to spoil peoples evening at the pub by being so loud and rude ,fancy serving him again when he was clearly drunk ,the F word seems to be normal talk for some people , i hate to hear it there's no need for it .
It will be lovely for you to have a few days away you'll need to rest that knee if you have those stairs to tackle .

Oh dear poor FIL Ann he seems to pick up and then goes down hill again poor old chap , it would be the best thing for him if he just drifted off in his sleep ,i think we'd all like to go that way.
You were brave going out to get your phone from the car that time of night ,but as you say it's better than having your car window smashed in ,i don't like leaving any thing on show in the car even an empty carrier bag ,they don't think twice about smashing your glass to get at any thing these days .

I'am glad you have your teeth back Mel and they are comfortable to wear again ,you'll have to be careful they don't rub a little if they are a little tighter .

Strange isn't it ? I have fillings top and bottom left and right toward the rear
where as it's relatively recent dental work that breaks.
Were the dentists better in the old days?

magpie Report 2 Mar 2016 16:47

Fifteen years!!!! I don't think I'd have had any teeth left!!!! I've always been every six months all my life, even though it meant changing Dentists when we moved around a lot. Our present one is in Tetbury and she's really good and very caring. Our hygienist is fantastic though, and very thorough. Mind you she's quite expensive as she's private patients only. I go every four months.
Hope you got on ok Gill. I wouldn't go too mad on the packing front as you've plenty of time and perhaps need to get the sale on a bit before getting too stuck in.
Hope your FIL drifts away peacefully Ann. Sadly it would, from what you say, be the best thing.
That chap sounds very unpleasant Frank! I think a quiet word wouldn't be out of place. What happens to the little spaniel when your son and DIL are in Spain? Do they take him with them? My SIL has a house in France where they live from April-October, and they take their two dogs backwards and forwards.
No snow here, just lots of cold wind and squally rain showers.

Frank

Frank Report 2 Mar 2016 17:32

Afternoon all,

Liz, Jo her daughter live with her. JJ is Jo's dog but It spends most of it's time with Jan. Jo has her business running from the house, Waxing and Massage. She has clients from all over the area. If it's a new one (MAN) Jan is always around. But 99.9% are clients she has had for years. She use to have a saloon but the rent and lighting took so much money. It works very well for them both, as Conrad is out of the Country so much.

Mel, I always use "fixodent" for my teeth. That helps to stop them rubbing, if they do I use Bonjela.

Have I missed something about Ann's FIL ?? I agree, I think we all would just like to fade away, when our time comes. MORBID BUGG##S aren't we. ;-) ;-) ;-)

Gill I hope the viewing went well today, and you got things sorted at the Solicitors.

Off to put the meals in the oven 25/30 minutes and we will be eating. Saves standing in the kitchen. lol

Oh, I see Frank! I just wondered if they took him with them!
The evenings are really drawing out now, just needs it to get warmer, and we shall be well on the way to summer!!!
Time for supper. Ian's finishing off the fried potatoes and green beans then we're ready!

Gillx Report 2 Mar 2016 18:15

Hi Everyone

Not long got in. We went to the viewing but it's not for us, the property was far to small and the garden was on such a hill and far to steep for me, plus it was overlooked for every direction. I think the Agent could see I wasn't impressed and even said "You don't like it do you?" to which I said sorry but no. We have booked in another couple of viewings for tomorrow afternoon but when we drove past them we weren't to keen. We'll still go and look at them though, just to be polite now they have been booked in. Apart from those two there isn't anything else on the market in our price range we like. We've booked an appointment to see a mortgage advisor as it's looking like we might need a small mortgage to enable us to buy something better. I didn't know what OH's shifts were for next week so booked it in for Monday, then realised we are taking the car for it's MOT, so I'll have to change the appointment for Friday instead. We also went to see the solicitor who told us not to worry about the deeds as he doesn't think they'll be a problem, so that was good, although when I got home I took another look at all the solicitors letters and the deeds doesn't look good, it states that there is still an interest for Michelle on it, although it doesn't mention her by name, so the next time we see the solicitor we'll take it with us for him to take a look.

Well, poor Sandra didn't get her snow in the end, not long after my post the snow stopped and the rain started, so she's a bit disappointed now. We left her here while we went out as it was blowing a gale and really cold. She said she didn't want to come out with us, which is fair enough. We bobbed back before going to the solicitors and she was asleep and when we got home from the solicitors she was still asleep so I don't think she missed us.

I haven't read the posts yet, so I'll catch up with them later as I haven't eaten properly today and I'm hungry so I'm going to get something to eat. At least I'm warmer now, I was so cold with being outdoors all day, the wind cut through me like a knife it was that cold. So I'm glad Sandra didn't come out with us as she's still not well and the bad weather wouldn't of done her any good.

Frank

Frank Report 2 Mar 2016 18:40

Well the Chicken dinners were a dissaster. Ros harly touched hers and I left half of mine. As I saud to her these are convenience meals and nothing like home cooked. So it's back to the kitchen for me, I will cook something up tomorrow, that she will like. !!!

Gill that's a pity about the properties. You must make sure you like what you see or you might as well stay where you are. Good Luck.

Yes Liz, the nights are drawing out, but the blooming weather ain't. It's turned very cold here this evening. Good job Tony is taking me to the match at the pub tonight, or I think I would have stayed at home. I don't like to drag Ros out to take me.

Where is our Jane today, I don't think I have seen her ??

Mel Fairy Godmother

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 2 Mar 2016 21:25

Shame about the veiwing Gill but it is no good if you don't click with a place is it? There must be plenty more in your price range about.

Oh and I were watching something on his new amazon stick thing and I missed the begining of Grantchester so I shall have to watch it on catch up now.

Anne

Anne Report 2 Mar 2016 21:48

The weather has been dreadful here today, I had to go out for my blood test , when I walked passed South Hill Park lake there were a lot of seagulls flying around, they only come up this far when its really bad weather. Later on we had a lot of hail, plenty of rain but no snow and very windy.

Where Richard is working at the moment they have a lovely black Labrador called Rosie but she was in trouble today after being taken for a walk she stank of foxes poo also the other dog belonging to a friend had done the same thing.

Gill its disappointing that you didn't like the house you were viewing but there should be many more out there maybe you need to look further out.

Frank I hope your visit to the pub is more enjoyable this time, I can't understand why the man with the loutish behaviour wasn't shown the door.

Good news about your OH's scan Mandy. lets hope your G,P can prescribe something to get the swelling down on his legs.

Like Liz I go to the dentist every 6 months always have done plus the hygienist .
I am lucky as I have all of my teeth apart from the wisdom ones which were impacted. My mum and dad also had good teeth.

Morning all and evening Kim,

Dry this morning but what a night with that dreadfull wind. We've even had a tiny bit of watery sunshine but its gone now.

Mandy good that the scan is over and they did'nt find a clot. My oh's feet and legs swell sometimes but mainly when he sits about a lot. I keep telling him to have a lay down with his feet higher than his body but he won't do it.

Hope Frank had a good nights sleep again and everyone else.

Did anyone watch Grantchester last night?

magpie

magpie Report 3 Mar 2016 10:58

Gill, I would check very carefully with your solicitor about the interest that Michelle has in your house. Forgive me, but I feel that your buyers need to be made aware of this sooner rather than later, so that any possible queries can be ironed out before any fees are incurred on either side. As everyone on here knows we had terrible problems over our boundry when we moved from Devon to where we are now. Our first buyers pulled out because of it, but luckily our second buyer was made fully aware of this from day one and was prepared to sort out the boundary with our neighbours after he moved in, which he did by allowing them to do as they please!!
Not too bad a day here, quite quiet and no wind!!! No we didn't watch Granchester Mel. We're not that keen on it, but might watch it on catchup if we feel like it!
Has your OH had a kidney function test Mel? Poor kidney function can often be the cause of swollen feet and ankles.

Frank

Frank Report 3 Mar 2016 11:02

Morning poppets, and David and Will, Evening Kim,

Bright sunshine here this morning but looks cold, I haven't ventured out yey.

Ros has gone to "Stitchery do" until 3.00 pm. She will take me to the doctors for 4.30 for my appointment.

It was so funny last night, I phoned Tony at 6.30 pm to pick me up at 7.30, but when I looked in the paper K.O was at 8.00 so I rang straight back and Val answered the phone. I told her to tell Tony 7.45, as we get there just bfore the K O. She said "HE'S ALREADY GONE" this was 6,45. The phone rang again at 7.20. It was Tony. He had gone to Tesco without telling his wife. I ask you who would do such a thing. LOL

All quiet in the pub when we arrived, both the land lady and her husband said that they had heard about the night before. This bloke Works in SAUDI and when he comes home always makes a pest of his self. They are going to BAN HIM when he next steps in the pub. One chap said (he was there the night before) had this person kicked off at me he would have stepped in. He also said this person had been at another village pub, drinking all lunchtime and had become abusive, before coming to our pub.

I'm sorry there are a lot of funnies this morning, but they might make you smile.

Yes Mel slept right through again last night. Thank you.

Have got a nice shoulder of lamb for tonight. With Roasts, Brussels, Swede, Runners and Carrot and peas. That should make up for last night.

Going to get myself sorted now and finish rhe veg.

Have a good day whatever you are doing xxx

Afternoon All

I have had an upset tum so was off the pooter all day yesterday and have jusy turned it on now.I should have had my hair cut this afternoon, but thankfully my appointment was changed to tomorrow as Nigel my hairdresser has some family crisis .So tomorrow I should be feeling fine again.

My MRI scan was normal :-D.But I have an appointment back at the GP as a couple of Blood Results are not qutie right. One is the Vitamin D,the other is something like Reumatology Factor?.So that will be on the 16th.

Our new suite will be delivered on the 19th :-D :-D :-D

Oh Gill that was a shame the bungalow wasn't what you were hoping for yesterday.I am sure something will come up that will be just the thing.I do hope that there will be no problem with this Deeds business.I know nothing about these kind of things .

Mandy ,that was a relief knowing there are no clots in OH's legs.Is it fluid I wonder?
Does he sit with them elevated?

So Frank you nearly had a bust up at the Pub !!!..That man sounds a right horror.I am very surprised that he was continued to be served and that nothing was said to him about his foul mouth....All i can say is Thank goodness you didn't thump him.it would have been you in the doo doo and not him.

I am keeping this short today as I really don't feel to bright..I may pop back later.

Annx Report 3 Mar 2016 17:30

Afternoon All,

It;s been better weather than I expected today although I woke in the night to a gale blowing!! The builders were here at 7.00am so no catching up with lost sleep then, but I still got up late!! :-S

Glad you had a good sleep Frank and keep the funnies coming.......we love them and there's usually a few chuckles in them!! :-D :-D ;-)

We went to the fav carvery today, then OH went to a meeting. He has to go early to this one because of all the traffic that builds up at the time of their meetings. I went to the 'BEAD HOUSE' this afternoon where the lady provides cakes, choccies and biscuits, but because I was still full of lunch I didn't want any today! :-S The lady's hubby helps too and gets us as many cups of tea/coffee as we want. One of their cats that is white with black spots was there. It's little nose is a black triangle on a white face and it is 19 years old now but you wouldn't think so. I spent quite a bit (well I needed to to use the £6 off voucher they sent me! lol) so I have stocked up a bit. While I was there OH rang me on his way to his meeting to say the Home had rung. They'd got the doctor in as FIL had stayed in bed today and had got very agitated at any attempt to give him fluids or food. The doctor is to provide the home with what's needed for end of life care, so it looks like he won't be getting any better now. OH is going to see how he is again tomorrow.

MillymollyAmanda Report 3 Mar 2016 17:59

Evening all,

It's been a nice dry day i hung washing out and got it dry it's now turned really chilly so we have just lit the fire .

Jane i hope you feel better tomorrow ,was it some thing you have eaten do you think ?
It will be nice to get your new suite , will they take the old one away ?
Yes i think it might be fluid on hubby's legs ,the doctor rang this morning and said he was pleased with the results of the ultra scan hubby had there being no clots and he thinks some tablets might help he told hubby he would give him a months supply of tablets but only a mild dose as they don't help the liver and will make him trot to the loo more .
He has his legs raised up while he's sitting and i do think it has helped.
I went up to the surgery to get the prescription only to be told they didn't have it ,it might have gone straight to boots ,off i go to boots and they had a job to find it as it had only just come down from the doctors .

We bought an Amazon Fire Stick today ,it goes into the television and you set it up so you can get lots of films and other tv programmes , son will come in the morning to set it up for us , with the one off payment of £34-99 i don't think it's bad for the amount of things you can watch on it .

Frank how odd Tony not telling his wife were he was going, they seem an odd pair , if hubby's in the house i usually say i'am off and tell him where i'am going rather than just go !!
That's good that the other chap said he would step in if the chap was in the pub and started up again , it wouldn't have done your blood pressure any good you getting worked up , hope he doesn't drive round the pubs !!

We never watched Grantchester ,i think we watched the first one of the first series but couldn't get into it .

Ann i heard the wind in the night too, it was blowing the hail onto the bedroom window and i think that woke me up .
Didn't they do Doggie bags for the cakes :-D
It does sound as if all they can do now for FIL now is make him comfortable ,sending love to you both <3

Gillx Report 3 Mar 2016 18:22

Evening all

Glad to hear you had a good nights sleep Frank. So the fella had been causing trouble in another pub before arriving at the one you were at. At least they are going to ban him now and not before time.

Sorry to hear about FIL Ann. My thoughts are with you and Gordon.

So you have a dicky tummy now Jane. Try some Imodium it worked for me.
Good news about your MRI, but not so good with the blood tests, hope it's nothing serious and is sorted out soon.

Pleased to hear there isn't any blood clots in your OH's legs Mandy, lets hope the doctor can sort out the problem so he starts feeling better soon.

Our solicitor said not to say anything about the deeds Liz as it states clearly on the solicitors letters than Michelle gifted our property back to us and didn't want any payment for it, so it shouldn't be a problem. I was just concerned at the wording on the deeds themselves but our solicitor said if it was a problem for our buyers then the insurance would ease their minds.......lets hope he's right. We're just waiting to hear when our buyers want to have their survey done.

We've viewed two more properties today and one of them I really like. I had a word with the Agent about some building work I'd like done on the place and she's going to get a phone number of a builder she's used so that we can set up a meeting at the property with him a week tomorrow. Once we have a quote then we'll have some idea of weather we want to go ahead and buy the place and also what offer to put forward to the vendors.

I saw my mum this morning, she'll be at her hospital appointment now and said she would ring me in the morning to let me know how everything went and weather she'll need to go back to the hospital next week for an operation. I've been so worried I've hardly slept and feel so tired all the time. I hope everything is okay with her.

Going to sort out some dinner now before my soaps start on the TV. I didn't watch Grantchester either Mel. OH said it was the last ever of Mr Selfridge next week. Apparently they're not making anymore.....I hope he's wrong I like that programme.
