Frank, I think I told you that we've got a sound bar. We bought it from Currys when we bought our new TV. Not sure if they fit all makes!! Best thing to do, I think, is to make a note of the details of your TV, in particular it's age, go to your nearest Currys and have a chat with them about it. I'm afraid that's all I can think of for you to do . Lovely day here. Shopping all done and put away, prawns and french bread for lunch.

Thanks Liz, I will have todo that.
Great day here also, where I am sitting the sun is coming into the lounge and is very warm on my face and arm. We had crusty bread and ham for lunch.
I forgot to mention that Ros has gone completely blond and had her hair cut. It's like waking up with a new women beside me in the mornings. !!!! I should be so LUCKY ;-) ;-) ;-)
Val next door has been out with the electric trimmer again, on another bush. All the cutting are left where they fell, the same with the Red Robin.
Where are you all today. ??

Afternoon All,
It's lovely and sunny here now after fog this morning. I bet you are glad to be back home Frank and not have stairs to do! I see you have had some floods your way too but I am not on FB so can't see them.
We didn't think much to Breakfast at Tiffanys at the theatre last night. There was a real cat in it that was so good and ran straight into the wings when it was put down. I thought it was a stuffed one at first till it moved!! lol The theatre was bitterly cold everywhere and I never took my coat in because I thought it would be hot and the seats were so uncomfy even OH was fidgetting all the time!! At the interval OH asked if I wanted an icecream as we walked out and I said, 'forget icecream, show me the hot chocolate!!' Even the cafe area was freezing and I was wishing I had flannalette knickers with fur trim on. I went in the ladies and a block of 5 toilets were all blocked which isn't good. I did get my hands warm under the hot water taps though and managed to deflect the warm heat from the hand dryer to my chest and neck to warm those up. :-D When we went back in after the interval we think they must have had complaints because it was a lot warmer. The people in the seats next to us didn't come back though. For a new modern theatre we weren't that impressed although the seats we got were good.
OH rang me this morning at beading class to say his dad wasn't good, then rang again 20 minutes later to say he'd passed away. OH was glad it didn't happen yesterday on his birthday and said some of the staff were quite upset. He's already rung the solicitor and funeral people and it looks like we will be busy next week making arrangements.

Ann, condolences to both you Gordon on your loss. I expect with the sadness there is also a feeling of relief as he didn't appear to be suffering at all.A busy time coming up for you both now
Frank' I'm pleased you are back home safe and sound, Ros must look very glamorous with her blonde hair, has she been blonde before?
It's been such a lovely day here after the fog had lifted.

Oh Ann, I am so sorry for you loss, but on the other hand it's a blessing he just drifted off without pain. I expect you will be busy next week. My thoughts are with you both. <3 <3 <3
Still very sunny here, I expect it to turn cold again tonight, but after such a beautiful day, I think we can live with that.
I have managed to renew the car tax on line. When I tried this morning it was automated and wouldn't let me do it. I even rang and spoke to someone who said I will do it for you. !!! Like heck he did, after 10 minutes he said "you will have to go to the Post Office" So this afternoon I tried again and it went through. That will save Ros having to wait around for half an hour !!!
There's football on the Tele. again tonight, but I think I will give it a miss at the pub. I might try to watch it in the conservatory, proving it's not to cold.
That wasn't very good of the theatre, was it Ann. With all the modern heating the last thing you need is to be cold. As for the toilets, where were the maintenence people. ?? I think I would have had strong words with the Manager about that. You might have even got FREE TICKETS to another show ;-) ;-) ;-)
Ros has washed her hair and is now watching T.V. with the Hair dryer blaring away. Good job I'm up the other end of the D/Room. but still loud !!!
Try to have a nice quiet evening Ann, it will do you both good.

Oh dear Ann, I'm so sorry to hear about your FIL. I suppose it was inevitable, but it's very sad for your OH. I know I found it very strange when both my parents had gone particularly as I like your OH was an only child. You suddenly feel very alone. Best wishes to you both. I've been sitting out this afternoon, and it's been really warm. I watched a documentary on kindle catchup called 'Crime and Punishment throughout the ages! ' It wasn't very cheerful to say the least!! Talking of hair! I must get mine cut next week, I'm beginning to resemble a shaggy dog!! How brave of Ros Frank. I haven't been blond for many years now, just my normal colour with the occasional low lights to give it a boost!!

Condolenses to you both Ann and it was nice to think that oh was there when FIL slipped away. He will be back with MIL now and you and Gordon can have a relaxing time away in May when it should mostly be over by then. So lots to do this coming week then. I too was an only child so know what its like. <3 <3 <3
I have been out in the garden having a little sweep by my back played up a bit so I stopped. Oh has done some mowing and out the front they have had a huge bonfire so we both stink now as the smoke came over our way.
You rest that knee Frank and no going out to mow the lawn till it feels easier. A new woman next to you in bed aye? It's years since I was blond.
Chicken is still hanging on and had a nice lot of corn this afternoon but the sun had gone in a bit so I did'nt put her out today.
Cjhilli for oh tonight and I shall have a couple of boiled eggs.

Ann,I am very sorry to read your news about Gordon's Dad :-(...But it must be a huge relief for you both. What with his Mum just a few months ago and now his Dad.It has been a rough time for you both over the past 12 months.I suppose the good thing now though is that you will be able to look forward to your holiday in May,knowing that there will be no having to dash back if there had been an emergency. You will be able to relax and just enjoy the peace and wonderful scenery in Cornwall. Please pass on my condolences to Gordon <3 <3 <3
Fancy that theatre being so cold!!!.That was pretty bad, especially with it being a new one.I don't think I have ever seen a real cat in a theatre production. Not sure I approve to be honest. The same with little ponies used in Pantos.I just don't think it is right.
I have just seen in the local paper a bit about Jess's assault by the park the other week. The police must have thought it serious enough to have it put in print. At least they don't give her identity.
Ros is brave to have changed her hair like that Frank. How short has she had it cut?.I thought she was blond already.
We had our Lunch at the Snooty Fox.Pan fried mushrooms in a lovely sauce (we both had them). Then I had the Fish and Chips and Chris some fancy Sausages and mash with a lovely looking thick gravy. He said it was smashing.I have to say though I thought my fish was too fishy :-S.I don't know what kind of fish it was.I am pretty sure it wasn't Cod or Haddock. So no cooking for me this evening. I have got James a huge Cornish Pasty,so that will be ready for when he gets in .He will be off to Jess about 8pm.I bought some lovely White Roses for him to give to Jess's Mum along with the condolence card.
I spotted Thomas in the hedge munching away on half a baby bunny. He had obviously had the first half earlier so had gone back for seconds :-S.I am so glad he didn't try and bring it in . I think if we are hungry later tonight Chris and I might have a nice Hot Cross Bun :-D
Saw Fitz earlier and he said that the brook down the bottom of the lane by the little bridge that we go over to his place had totally flooded the other night. This is the first time in several years .The last time it happened they were cut off for a while down there as it was too dangerous to attempt driving through the water and over the bridge. We saw no lying water at all today when we went to Lowick. In fact everywhere looked remarkably dry !!!.Must be good drainage around that part. There was a family eating their lunch in the Pub Garden in the sunshine while their little children scampered about on the play equipment .
Must put the Pasty in the oven now before I forget.

Evening all,
Ann i'am so sorry to hear that FIL has passed away, it must be a relief for you both but touched with so much sadness that OH has lost his dear dad not long after his mum . The holiday will be be some thing to look forward to for you both ,i will be thinking of you and sending you both my love <3 <3
Frosty and foggy here this morning when we got up but that soon went and the sun came out so we have been out in the garden doing odd jobs ,hubby chopped some sticks for the fire ,he filled two big bags so they will keep us going for a week or two.
DIL came this morning and i looked after Lewis here for a while as she had an appointment with the nurse when she came back we had a walk round the shops and the market ,not that we have many stalls on the market any more ,i bought a ball and some toys ready for Max and a nice comfy mattress for his bed .
So chicken is still hanging on Mel she must be made of stern stuff ,all you can do is make her comfortable in her last days .
Wonder how Gill has got on today .

Evening all,
Ros has been blond for years, but only with highlights. This time she is really blond and had her hair cut shorted. It suits her and I like it also.
The bit of sun is certainly "chirping up" the chicken Mel. With the way you LOVE and care for your birds, ahe might go on for days/weeks.
What a wonderful day we have had, after the fog, it has been wall to wall sunshine.
The steaks were absolutely gorgeous this evening. Melt in the mouth with my superb cooking. Ros couldn't eat all she had on her plate, but I cleared mine. Mr piggy !!!
I have the football on the T.V. in thr conservatory. Good match so far. Will get back to it now.
See you in the morning.

Thank you all for your kind condolences which I have passed on to OH and which he greatly appreciates. <3 It is a relief for both us and FIL that he went peacefully and before his dementia worsened to the point he didn't know anyone. It has been difficult to sort things out and help them for a very long time, but things certainly ramped up the last year and it is only a few weeks since we got their house off our hands. OH is ok and started some ringing around while I went and got some shopping. He'd done me a little thankyou card for when I got back, with a lovely message of thanks for my support and help and which is just like him! We went for a walk around one of the villages later just to relax and unwind a bit.
Lookout Frank now Ros is a Blonde Bombshell.......you'll have to keep on your toes!! I have thought about going blonde all over but I expect it would take a lot of maintenance. I just have lowlights in a mix of ash blondish colours.
Off to bed now as we feel really tired tonight.

Thing is it isn't a box Mel but a long bar that fits onto the wall below the TV, or wherever. We've also got a small loudspeaker as well which is, I think, an addition if you want it! so I'd get professional advice Frank. When we bought ours we were told that you need to make sure that the fittings are compatible as they can need additional bits if they're different. Final episode of Mr Selfridge!! You'll be pleased Frank!!

Morning my beauties and David, Evening Kim,
Well the mist is lifting quicker this morning than it did yesterday. I think we will get sunshine later.
Ros has gone off to meet Martine for her Saturday "CHAT" and a COT. She doesn't need much as she got some bits yesterday.
We are suppose to be going out for "MOTHERS DAY LUNCH" with Harvey tomorrow, as he couldn't fit us in last week and we were away anyway. We haven't heard a word from him, to say where and when we need to be somewhere. Ros did say it would be somewhere near where he lives in Toddington. (make us do the driving) ;-) ;-) ;-)
Ann, I know you are going away in May, but it might be nice that when you are sorted after FILs funeral, you and G take yourselves off for a few days to wind down from all the stress you have both been through.
How stupid can I get, I woke this morning and looked down at sleeping beauty, and thought how lucky I am to have someone like her to LOVE. AHHHHHH.
I will take myself off for a little walk to the pub at lunchtime,.I need to do some excercise, and Tony will bring me back.
Good match last night Palace won 2--0 against Reading. I know you needed that info lol lol
I am so pleased I got the lawns cut the week before last. They look great and will go a bit longer until the next cut. Some of the lawns round here are SIX INCHES LONG. Gawd knows how they are going to get them down to normal.
I have had my mate on toast, showered, all I need to do is get a shave and get dressed.
Have an enjoyable day folks, see you later.

Good morning everyone
Mandy when are you going to bring Max home? It can't been much longer now how exciting
Frank pleased that you enjoyed the football but not the fact Reading got beaten. One of my friend's nieces is married to Adam Federici who use to play in goal for Reading. They got married in Florence last year no expense spared of course That was a lovely thought you had about Ros, I hope you tell her, something like that means a lot.
Ann the same for you that Gordon has given you that card sometimes it's easier to write something than to speak it in person, we all need to feel appreciated when times have been difficult
It's come out sunny again and started to warm up. Richard is getting ready to go to the cinema so we will be eating this evening, only sausages, beans. mushrooms and chips so nice and easy
I met David, Richard's friend who will be staying with us for a while until he goes to Cuba to live with his girl friends family. He is putting the things he wants shipped over there in store until then. He is a nice young man who has been really upset over losing his Mum and their home, he is going to pay the same every month that Richard does he wanted to offer me more but I don't want to make a profit out of his misfortune.
Just going to clean the bathroom and downstairs cloakroom and then have a toasted sandwich. Hope everyone has a relaxing day. Frank enjoy your meal this evening.
